I've been using Iterable for several years now, in various roles across multiple companies, and I'm a big fan. No ESP is perfect, but Iterable's user friendly interface, intuitive audience builder, the best journey builder I've encountered make it my absolute favorite ESP. Their reps and help desk folks are always the nicest and help you find a solution quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The reporting features in Iterable are the only weaker area. the experience is different depending on whether campaigns are blasts or in journeys and the dashboard creator isn't super intuitive. I know the Iterable team is about to launch a revamp here and a new AI tool, so I'm excited to see how this experience is improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One of the great qualities about Iterable, is that they not only listen to what marketer's need, they anticipate it needs, and put action behind it by adding new features & tools to the platform continously. I look at my account manager & solutions archetit as an extension of my team. They're always ready to jump in, and roll up their sleeves for a working session. There's very little downside to the platform. The one thing that can be improved is reporting (message insights, device type, and heatmaps). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What's great is that Iterable is a big player in the market and has a few integrations with other software companies.
The journey and campaigns are easy to set up.
They have a decent academy where you can learn how to get started with the basics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Iterable's provided value would grow a lot if they worked on the analysis part of the campaigns and journeys.
Setting up campaigns in 12 different languages requires a lot of manual work. Customizing how you work with locales and uploading strings for other languages would help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Iterable is a solid tool. The interface is user-friendly and intuitive—it makes setting up campaigns feel straightforward. Personalization options are good too. It’s easy to tailor messages to make them feel relevant, and it handles almost everything you’d need for B2C messages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Iterable is a good tool, there are a few things that are missing. For example, there’s no way to schedule a campaign to run on the same day every month—you have to use workaround logic, which can be time consuming. Also, the in-app messaging (IAM) capabilities are pretty basic. If you want something more visually engaging, you’ll need to use HTML, which adds extra work. These things don’t ruin the experience, but it would make the experince better if they were there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Iterable is relatively easy to use once you become familiar with it. The platform provides robust features for email and marketing automation, and once you navigate the learning curve, workflows can be implemented effectively. Additionally, the support team is readily available most of the time, making it convenient to reach out for assistance when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
• User Experience Challenges: The platform’s interface is not very intuitive for first-time users, and the initial learning curve can feel steep.
• Search Functionality: The search feature rarely works effectively, often failing to retrieve results, which hampers productivity when trying to locate templates.
• Ingestion and Performance Issues: Data ingestion is prone to lag, and overall platform responsiveness could be improved.
• Feature Limitations: There is a lack of built-in functionality for some relatively simple but crucial features, such as countdown timers for emails, which require third-party integrations.
• Script Limitations: While security is a valid concern, the inability to use base scripts or create new Handlebars helpers limits flexibility for advanced users.
• Support Delays: Although the support team is accessible, explaining issues often takes considerable time, and the resolution process can span several days in some cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A major advantage of Iterable for us is being able to integrate all communication channels through one platform with simple interface anyone on the team can easily get started with. Setting up email campaigns does not require a lot of dev effort and technical skills while offering a lot of flexibility in terms of segmentation, advanced sending logic, and A/B testing. Some features still need work, like Brand Affinity, which now only considers user's email activity and not real loyalty towards the brand. Another downside is support - while the Support Team always responds promptly to ongoing questions, some larger-scale requests, like project migrations, could take a long time to complete. I've been using Iterable for a while now, and honestly, I’m super impressed. The platform has so many great features, and the support has been top-notch. Shoutout to my rep, Alex, who’s been incredibly responsive and always quick to help whenever I have a question! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
That said, I’ve got two small but important feature requests: an undo button (because, let’s face it, we all make mistakes!) and auto-save to make sure nothing gets lost mid-edit. Adding these would take Iterable from great to absolutely perfect! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Iterable listens to feedback about product changes and does it's best to implement them. The best thing I would say is their support system. Whether it's chat or submitting a ticket, for the most part they are excellent to work with and do deep dives to get you the answers you need. The platform itself is easy to use and they've added some good product features to help you save on time when it comes to building, making it easy to go in frequently and update things. Even though they are constantly pushing out new prodcuts, there are things that can be improved about that process. There is not always visibility or announcements about product features, and some of them seem rushed and incomplete. Getting updates made to features is a difficult ask and can take quite a few quarters to get somewhere with it, which is a blocker. Plus, data pipelines from Iterable aren't always easy. And contract renewal conversations lead to some less than transparent business talk/speech which goes against Iterable's usually transparent and honest nature. Iterable's intuitive interface and powerful automation tools make it easy to create and personalize targeted campaigns, ensuring effective communication and high engagement. The platform's flexibility in managing workflows, combined with robust analytics, helps optimize performance and results seamlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Iterable is a robust platform, its extensive features can create a learning curve for new users. Additionally, more intuitive navigation or streamlined processes could improve efficiency by enabling certain advanced functionalities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

You can put a lot of the "thinking" behind your campaign and user management into Iterable. Specifically, the segmentation and personalization capabilities are phenomenal and really set the platform apart from its competitors. Whether you need to use event or user fields, you can easily create dynamic lists that users enter/exit as they evolve or create conditional logic that's as complex as is needed to make your campaigns work for you. The reporting and analytics tools, while powerful, sometimes lack the depth or customization that would make them truly insightful for all use cases. For example, building custom reports or filtering data across multiple campaigns can require workarounds. My complaints in this corner of Iterable are more quality of life issues than capability issues, though. If you can't get everything you want in terms of reporting and analytics, there's probably a third-party integration or way to use the API to get what you need.
