Personalization software is often used by product and development teams to maximize a website's performance and to convert website visitors into buyers.

Personalization software can often be implemented as a part of other website performance tools such as A/B testing software and digital analytics software. It can also be used to integrate with e-commerce platforms, shopping cart software, and product information management (PIM) software to display relevant product information to the prospective buyer.
