What do you dislike about Braze?

I think reporting and analytics is not reliable - specially for business KPIs - sales, transactions, revenue etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Braze?

The Braze Customer Support team are very helpful with helping execute new tactics and with instructing us on how to leverage all of Braze's features. The platform itself is very user-friendly and the analytics dashboard is clear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Braze?

The segmentation tool still needs a lot of work. It's currently not possible for us to segment based on certain properties within events and we're only able to use most historical data within a 30 day period and for many of our segments, we do need to be able to go beyond the 30 days. I like the way that the system is designed and how it allows you to customize your emails, in-app messages etc. The customer support is great and very responsive. At my company we use it almost on a daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Braze?

Not saving automatically when I close the tab that Braze is in by accident. No built in proofreading features in the email copy and subject line. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Braze?

Braze is a platform that's easy to use and with a lot of potential. We use Braze on the daily; it allows us to make small tweaks very quickly, analyze what's possible and move on to improve. Our CSM has been exceptional too - any question I shoot her way, she's always cleared them in a few days so that's definitely amazing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Braze?

I'm very picky regarding the journey/canvas builder, usually I'd have a big monitor that I can trace the user journey through steps and hurdles, basically, I really enjoy a very accessible and easy to use canvas editor that I can imagine myself to go through as a user; however this is a little complicated to envision on Braze Canvases compared to other players in the market. What do you like best about Braze?

Braze is an incredibly powerful automation platform that has impressed us since day 1.

Our company was very experienced with plug-and-play marketing platforms that had native integrations with Salesforce CRM, Microsoft, etc. But we reached a point where we needed a lot more. We were looking for a marketing platform that allowed us to pull in ANY data point from our data lake and trigger communications to users. We also didn't want to be limited by automations based purely off user fields. We wanted event-based triggers.

We found Braze and it has absolutely delivered. The API integrations are very powerful and just what we needed. We integrated Braze with Snowflake and built our own two-way sync with our Salesforce CRM. We synced our product user database with Braze - this was a game changer. We could sync any event to Braze (e.g. product login, button clicks, any feature from our product) and built drip campaigns (i.e. Canvases) triggered off the user's activity in our product in real-time. We sync user data to Snowflake and built our acquisition funnel, user engagement reports and other business reporting in Looker.

There's a steeper learning curve and more time required during the initial implementation than other plug-and-play marketing automation platforms like Pardot and Marketo. But it is so worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Braze?

From syncing data with Snowflake, CRM, reporting to building a simple email campaign, Braze requires a more technical skillset than other simpler marketing automation systems. But if you have the engineering resources and you want to take your automation to another level and really deliver personalised communications based on individual user behaviour in real-time, Braze is a no-brainer. What do you like best about Braze?

Braze excels in personalization, offering advanced segmentation and real-time data integration for highly relevant campaigns. Its automation tools are robust, enabling seamless multichannel workflows. The platform supports diverse communication channels (email, push, SMS, etc.) and integrates well with analytics and marketing tools. Braze's user-friendly interface simplifies navigation, while its responsive customer support and active community add significant value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Braze?

While intuitive, mastering its advanced features can require substantial training. Technical integrations for personalization might demand developer expertise. Additionally, basic functionalities like contact management can feel less intuitive compared to simpler tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Braze?

We migrated to the Braze platform from SFMC over a year ago and have found it to be so much easier to use to execute our marketing messaging. Here's where we found the advantages:

Personalization/Segmentation: Where Braze really stands out is in its ability to segment audiences in highly granular ways. Using a combination of behavioral, custom attribute, and location data, I can create very specific audience segments that ensure our messages reach the right people at the right time.

Omnichannel Capabilities: Braze excels in its ability to execute omnichannel campaigns. We can seamlessly coordinate across channels like email and in-app messaging, all within one platform. The unified messaging experience for users has helped us to reach customers via email or on our site. In addition, we can also leverage Braze for our social media audiences and messaging, whether building lookalike or exclusion audiences for targeting.

Flexible Integrations: Integrating Braze with our existing tech stack was relatively smooth. It also allows for other integrations, like Segment CDP, data warehouses, and many other third-party tools.

Customer Support: Braze’s support team is knowledgeable and responsive. Additionally, they provide comprehensive resources such as webinars, documentation, and best practices guides that have helped us make the most of the platform. We've also leveraged the online community for asking questions and getting answers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Braze?

No software platform is without its challenges. Some areas we've cited for improvement are:

Currents (contract limitations) - in order to get the full reporting insights and data inflow/outflow to support our reporting and targeting, we'd need to spend a lot more money on additional Currents flows (only one Currents is included).

Design/Engineering overhead - some features, like the in-app messages and content cards, can require a heavier lift from engineering and design support, which presents a bottleneck for our projects and ability to rapidly excecute campaigns.

Intuitive, but to a point - While the platform is incredibly powerful, some of the advanced features, like like campaign triggers, data integrations, or automation rules, require a bit of a learning curve, especially for those new to marketing automation (our junior or newbie staffers) . More guidance for advanced use cases would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
