As an active user of Iterable, I genuinely appreciate its intuitive and user-friendly interface. The Workflow Studio, in particular, makes building complex customer journeys feel smooth and manageable with its drag-and-drop functionality. Iterable’s personalization capabilities are also a standout—it allows for dynamic content and advanced segmentation, which helps us deliver more relevant messaging. The platform’s integration flexibility with other tools and data sources adds to its efficiency, and I’m especially grateful for the helpful documentation, webinars, and live events like Activate Virtual that keep users informed and inspired. While Iterable is a powerful platform, there are areas where it could be enhanced. Template management can sometimes feel a bit rigid, especially when trying to build visually rich or brand-heavy emails. I’ve experienced occasional lag or slowness when handling larger datasets or complex workflows. The analytics features, while useful for quick insights, could benefit from more robust and customizable reporting options. Lastly, A/B testing within journeys is somewhat limited—it would be great to have more advanced testing tools directly in workflows to better optimize campaign performance. 1. Iterable Team: From the moment we started working with them, their team was there to guide us through every step of the process. They provide expert advice, support and very quick to respond to any questions or concerns our team ever has, they always go above and beyond to ensure a smooth resolution.
2. Product: It's one of the best I've seen so far. The platform is highly intuitive and easy to use, with a robust set of features that enable our teams to create targeted and personalized campaigns that resonate with my audience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't dislike anything about the product or the team so far Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Support feels instant, and everyone I speak to has an in-depth understanding of the product and its nuances. I feel that our team is able to push boundaries because of the support we receive for our questions and suggestions. We can also generate great personalized content because of the platform's flexibility. They're always letting us know about incoming improvements to the platform. It is a very intuitive platform and documentation is extremely thorough. In the off chance that documentation only gets you 98% of the way there, the support team is always ready to get you to your goal. Integration to Segment was incredibly straightforward. Cannot change a user trait's data type or name once it is cast. Downloading a high-volume CSV from a list takes a very long time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've had a fantastic onboarding experience with Iterable. The entire team has been incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, always willing to roll up their sleeves and support us every step of the way. For a large, multi-brand onboarding, the process has been impressively seamless. We're already seeing efficiencies across both internal processes and customer experience. I'm also genuinely impressed by how quickly my team has been able to get up to speed on the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While our overall onboarding experience has been positive, there were a few challenges along the way. As we began implementing our use cases, we found that some features we assumed were available needed to be added or customized—despite having taken a thorough approach during the RFP and presentation process. That was a bit frustrating and caused some unexpected delays. Additionally, we encountered a few bugs that were known to other teams within Iterable but hadn’t yet been communicated to our onboarding team. This resulted in some lag time as they tracked down the necessary information internally. Improved internal knowledge sharing could help streamline the experience in situations like this. Iterable is a powerful, flexible platform that makes it easy to build, test, and optimize both email and SMS campaigns in one place. The user interface is intuitive and visually clean, which makes navigating between journeys, templates, and reporting much smoother than some other tools I’ve used. I especially appreciate the dynamic content capabilities and how seamlessly it integrates with our customer data, allowing us to personalize messaging at scale. The flexibility in segmentation, along with the ability to trigger campaigns based on real-time customer behavior, has been a game-changer for our lifecycle strategy. While Iterable is robust, some parts of the platform can feel clunky or underdeveloped. Reporting is one area that could use improvement—it can be difficult to pull detailed, customized reports without resorting to external tools or custom API work. Journey versioning also isn’t as seamless as I’d like; managing multiple versions of a workflow can get messy and hard to track. Additionally, loading times for certain features (especially journeys and large templates) can be slow, which can interrupt workflow when you're making quick updates. Lastly, while support is responsive, there’s sometimes a gap between ticket responses and true resolution, especially for more technical issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Iterable is an amazing CRM system, particularly for those who value robust automation features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One area where there’s room for improvement is the ability to export HTML templates, would reallylike this. Currently, exporting templates often results in missing content or incomplete coding, which can be frustrating when porting templates to other platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I enjoy the ease of reviewing each campaign from the Messaging page and then having the ability to double-click to understand more data about a specific campaign. I also appreciate the heatmap as we are able to see which types of content in the email resonated most with our users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The confusing jargon that we need to use to create segmentations can be improved. For example, "is on or after" is a very confusing term. I think this needs to be rethought to make it easier for users. I need to utilize a diagram that one of your technical CSM uses for me to make sure I am targeting the appropriate group. As a non-technical marketer, I can use and create create campaigns and emails easily. It gives me autonomy over my work and how fast I can accomplish it. Their support team is very helpful as well when I've run into roadblocks or don't understand how to use a specific feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Overall I think their documentation is lacking into how to actually use certain features. Their support articles say what they are, but you need to email back and forth with support to understand how to use it.
One issue that I've had a few times is duplicating blast campaigns, and the previous A/B test duplicates as well. Two times it has happened when I didn't realize it and the email went out with the wrong A/B test. They should make this more explicit - I feel it is a UX problem, not a user problem. Iterable is an easy to use, intuitive ESP. We are able to use Iterable automate our entire marketing program with dozens of campaigns and journeys, each with various dynamic fields and templates.
I'm impressed with amount of data Iterable is able to hold and reference.
Lastly, the customer support through the platform and through our account representative is always immediate and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The journey capabilities could be further built out to allow things like a send limit per day (not just per minute). We sometimes have to come up with creative workarounds for features that do not exist, such as a daily send limit.
Additionally, we would like to see better alerting built into Iterable. Right now, alerting is very limited - you can't apply specific alerts to a specific campaign. We would like to see this limitation changed to avoid the need for 3rd party services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Firstly their customer team are great. Really pleased with the level of care we get since we're not a massive customer and they're very responsive (shout out Claire). Same goes for thier support, often have to get them to do some odd requests for our quirks but they're normally very good and really fast.
As a service it does what we need it to and often without fail. Fairly easy to use, you don't have to be an developer to get something out of it. We use it for all of our event based notifications including push and email, across multuple languages as well, and that's okay to set up.
The most useful part is being able to deep dive in to the event history of any user and see exactly what they were sent. Has helped us diagnose countless bugs over time! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I just wish we had more time to get to grips with it. If you know how to use it you'll get a really good product out of it, without that time we've just always scraped the surface.
The language used to desrcibe the different features isn't always the clearest and it's not always obvious what is the right way to set something up until you've done it a few times to see what works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
