Once you tailor AtTask to your company's needs, you can get great reports and keep track of your info. You need to take a couple of courses in order to manage the application, but the results are worth the time invested. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a few aspects that do not really fit some of our processes, and the workarounds offered don't always help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The convenience of incorporating At-Task into our business process.
I found it surprisingly easy to integrate some of our business processes into At-Task. My next challenge is obtaining buy-in from peers and stakeholders. I have not had this ease of use in several products and the products that have comparable capabilities when I last checked were cost prohibitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
* Accidentally click/dragging tasks around in the project-task view.
If the web page loaded slowly or my computer struggled, sometimes I would inadvertently click on a task and drag/drop it into another task. Since the updates save instantly, one mistake can skew the project schedule and there is no "undo" feature. On the other hand, the Legacy Gantt chart did not have an undo feature either. Despite the impact, it is easy to undo accidental changes, though annoying. Aside from this pet-peeve I think At-Task is a great product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the collaboration, and the reporting features. The dashboards are the most powerful feature, a collection of all reports in real time; such a powerhouse over the other PPM tools out there. You don't have to build them weekly, they automatically distribute to the people that need them, and I have access to everything I need right at my fingertips.
They have many AtTask developers, making it such a pliable platform, you start with a ball of clay; shape it for your industry, and map your processes. Our consultant even took the time to walk on our manufacturing floor, just so he could picture how things could work; providing our own road-map to target.
I also like the immediate ability to see any project status, and its issues in a few clicks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With the unlimited time-sheet users licence disappearing, it drove our costs up significantly. It was extremely disappointing as we were migrating to one sole system, and mapping our process to even drive our payroll out of it. Now my costs are much higher, with 80+ workers I used to get for free, at a 300$+/ea fee; sadly we are already invested; and we have no alternative options.
The working calendar recently unveiled isn't quite functional, and often glitches out; but the concept is solid and i'm sure in future it will be worked on.
And lastly the iPhone/smartphone application doesn't push notifications to you, nor provide a notification bubble over the icon. It seems counter intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This tool really helps us to stay on track so our projects are on time and there's accountability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Wish I could share multiple documents within AtTask at once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
AtTask social collaboration engine is one of the best features that the solution offers. It enables an organization to move away from the old school email communication which breeds inefficiency by removing the access to truly global information and tradition towards the more transparent way of communication which boosts productivity and efficiency of organization of any size. Restricted configuration abilities in AtTask prohibits an Administrator to truly implement complex rule based configurations. AtTask should think about making its platform more flexible so that its clients can accomplish much more without getting into special customizations using APIs. With its unique and intuitive user interface AtTask provides all users with a great user experience and a decluttered view of their work. AtTask provides a great set of reports. It also helps our management to better run the business by providing a realtime and detailed view on all ongoing projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
AtTask could improve the current version with a "undo" button - this is critical. Also, improved scrolling behaviour and support of long and extensive project plans would be of great help. Support for browsing AtTask on an iPad is not really up to standards as some buttons just do not work. We would love to develop an AtTask iPad app for them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
convenient to use if you have multiple task to finish and prioritize time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
lags a bit on receiving work request and has to refresh page to update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the ability to re-prioritize my tasks in the order of how I'm going to work on them and then have that visible to everyone on my team. Also as a manager, this is the perfect way to essentially micromanage your teams' tasks without actually micromanaging your team-mates. Cuts down on emails, drive by requests, meetings.....ahh man i love AtTask. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They need to ACTUALLY offer a free trial. They tell you that it's just too complicated to have people try and set it up on their own. Whatever guys....just let us download it on a trial basis. AtTask would get a zillion more customers this way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The projects are easy to set up and format correctly and the Gantt chart is really easy to read. There are so many ways to get reports on your projects! Once you figure out how to pull only the information that you need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The idea of having the teams to assign out tasks within the project is great! But as a team member we don't have access to all of the tasks. The reporting is wonderful once you figure it out but figuring it out can pretty difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
