Installation was easy across the fleet. Samsara is paramount in the delivery of precious cargo. I like knowing exactly where every unit of our fleet is in our network. Also, realtime engine issues and any refridgeration anomalies are both tremendous features. Integration was great with our other fleet management software. Custommer support is always quick and on point. Since we started using this platform, there has been zero downtime. It is used 24 hours a day 7 days a week for our business. The only issue I found was setting up the different truck classes and drivers. Setting up a driver or unit that needs to be governed by DOT and hours of service or not. This also requires different DVIR setups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how easy the platform is to navigate, it is very user friendly for both drivers and administration. The app and the website make it easy to manage fleet in the office and on the go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I know it is still a work in progress but there are inaccuracies with the AI dashcam being too sensitive thinking a driver is on the phone or not wearing a seat belt when that is not the case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like most about Samsara is that it helps keep our business safe. Any time there is an accident or any incident (like a rock hitting our windshield) we have video proof of what happened. We are also able to monitor our drivers and give weekly feedback in safety meetings. Samsara's customer support is excellent as well. The online program is really easy to use and navigate. The only thing I dislike about Samsara is that if you do not know to save a video of an accident, after so many hours of drivetime the video is taped over. So it is completely unretrievable. I think my favorite part about Samsara has to be the sheer amount of features involved in the service and how easy it was to implement it into our operation. The integration was seamless. Literally everything is right there down to truck diagnostics, each drivers individual logs and hours of service, accurate GPS tracking with several map options for more detailed views, and so much more. I truly love using this tool and I use it every day. I am a dispatcher and it makes my job alot easier! And the guys out there on the road feel a heck of alot safer. The only real qualm I can think of is sometimes Samsara will be tracking a truck via gps and if you tab out it will sit on that truck and make it look like he's sitting still. Low and behold a web page refresh later they were still moving and the program just hung up. It's really not a big thing, and happens very infrequently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that I can share tracking with customers easily. I appreciate that after working with them directly and explaining that drivers can run AG and Non-AG Exempt loads they were able to add an agricultural button feature. Erin H and Nathan M. in support need a raise, because I have spoken to what seems like hundreds of support members at Samsara and they are the only two memorable, knowledgeable, and helpful staff members. • I hate that 99% of your staff doesn’t know the software or industry.
• I hate that the system is so tech savvy and high functioning that it is hurting the drivers rather than helping (example: The auto switching of HOS settings)
• I hate that the data isn’t split up per truck so they can all hop on one truck until it is drained if it has the strongest connection. Data should be split and specific to the truck. All truck companies have yards with multiple trucks parked right next to each other.
• I hate that you can ask 10 samsara support reps the same question and receive multiple different answers.
• I hate that it seems no one at your company understands HOS regulations even though that is the whole point of an ELD.
• I hate that I had to explain that driver can be AG exempt and Non-AG exempt for you to add this functionality after we had acquired thousands of HOS violations in our logs.
• I hate that our sales rep wasn’t useful at all when it came to onboarding us with the proper qualifications and training to use the software. Terrible implementation and integration.
• I hate that larger customers like ourselves doesn’t have a dedicated support rep that knows the system and our needs like most companies have.
• I hate that when I call in for help with an issue I am sent to 10 different people that are clearly speaking from a script and have no clue what they are talking about to only waste my time and finally say, “they will submit a ticket” to then days later finally get escalated to someone that knows what they are talking about but by that time we have at least 5 new issues.
• I hate that when speaking with other companies that use your system the only way for it to function properly is to by your own personal wifi because the Samsara data/ wifi/ hotspot is so spotty and unreliable.
• Due to our trucks not having properly separated data they are blowing through it even though they only use their tablets for Samsara and Hammer (a Truck GPS system) and when they are out of data they cant sign in at all to the driver app. This is a major compliance issue. For the time being your team cant understand why the login isn’t white listed but have increased our data so that our drivers can at the very least log in…

Driver qualifications section is very user friendly. If/when the DOT performs an audit on our company's drivers, SAMSARA will make it easy to gather all the necessary forms. I use SAMSARA every business day. Additionally, I enjoy the safety inbox feature because its AI does a decent job detecting driver behaviors. I can leave comments for the drivers, and as a result our operations have noticed a substantial decrease in accidents. As I mentioned, SAMSARA's artificial intelligence does a decent job at detecting driver behaviors. I would say though its AI needs more improving. I'll receive false alerts sometimes whenever an event is triggered. I'll need to state what I see on that video clip, and remove that event (i.e. no seat belt, rolling stops) from a drivers record. I like the ease of the dashboard. The initial dashboard is extremely user friendly and gives you a clear overview of your fleet. The design is clean and the integration was easy to implent throughout our entire business. Whether it is a moving truck or marketing van, Samsara has made fleet maintance easy! The AI features are still learning. There are a lot of times where I have to thumbs down a hazard because it was completely off. I do send the feedback in hopes that it learns what is correct and what isn't. That is the only downfall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

From the first day we installed in our units our safety mindset was changed. We were able to see in real time what our drivers faced on a daily basis. In less than 60 days we had two incidents where Samsara saved us. Both times a vehicle ran into us and the camera showed we were not to blame. We downloaded video instantly and sent to driver. They showed to officers and we were cleared. These two incidents are estimated to have saved us over $100,000. Our drivers now compete to be the safest driver on a monthly basis. We run over 30 units and all have been running with zero failures. the amount of information that Samsara gathers is amazing, current real time engine and fault information, reports and planning. I use Samsara through my employer which makes my job easier while I am locating over twenty technicians and their vehicles. It is essential how straightforward Samsara program is and the ease of implementation. I enjoy the amount of details that Samsara gives me on each vehicle like how much gas they have left or the voltage of the battery in the vehicle. Samsara is very noted on giving every detail and specificaiton from the vehicle to the GPS tracking on the map. I use Samsara everyday of the week, all hours of the day. Customer support for Samsara is always quick to respond to my needs or my employees needs. Samsara makes it simple to connect softwares through different integrations.
