**What do you like best about Motive?**

I like that they are investing heavily in AI. It helps us to have more accuracy in the events, allows us to capture fatigue and unwanted trends. There's a whole lot more I appreciate about this investment.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

I would like to have the field data in the analytics, but it sounds like they're gonna have that soon enough. And I would like for the speed limits to work properly, which it sounds like that's coming as well.

**What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motive improves driver behavior, reduces accidents, and decreases insurance premiums. Its AI investment enhances event accuracy, capturing fatigue and unwanted trends.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I use Motive for tracking my trucks' locations, maintenance, compliance, and driver behaviors. I like that it puts everything into one convenient location, making the whole operation more streamlined and faster. The software is user-friendly and intuitive, which makes tracking the fleet simple. Additionally, if I run into trouble, Motive has an excellent help desk. Setting it up was very easy, making it my first choice for managing eLogs when we needed it.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

It would be great if the map interface was linked to Google Maps.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

Motive is very user friendly for our drivers. I like how easy it is to use the motive app and the main dashboard. The reports are great too once you figure out what reports have the information you need. The cameras have clear videos and the whole system is easy to install.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

You really need to have your own service to the tablet or phone you are using as an eld screen to have it work flawlessly.

**What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The nice thing is we are in contact with motive and they seem to take our problems to engineering to find a resolution. Like video events instead of just a photo so we can coach our drivers more effectively.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I like the fact that Motive has an intuitive user interface that is more app-based than database.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

In the user interface, there are multiple areas where it becomes clumsy and often repetitive. For instance, uploading vehicle registrations has to be done for each vehicle one at a time, rather than in batches. This is especially challenging for fleets like ours with a single registration date yearly but individual cab cards for each unit. Additionally, there is limited support for trailers as assets and specific brands of machinery. Motive also holds onto fault codes longer than a unit's own ECM, leading to 'Ghost' faults that can trigger unnecessary management oversight. It would be beneficial if Motive had integration with tools like Collective Data, as their lack of integration creates redundant work. The initial setup had hitches like units not having correct identification and trailers not being able to activate once connected to the pulling unit.

Motive provides visibility of unit locations and centralizes maintenance and condition data, solving the issue of multiple locations for these items.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

UI is very well put together, probably my highest praise of the experience. I have seen a lot of options for integration with other systems and tools, albeit I have not tried most of them. Support has been good so far, pricing is competitive enough, however, performance on the web app and downloadable client is not quite as good as I would like it to be.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

I think the performance (web app and downloadable client, however the client just seems to pop out a browser window) is quite unreliable. One thing is if a truck is in dead zone I can request video (most of the time) of what happened in that time frame, but if something happens that should trigger AI dashcam features or safety alerts like near collisions, it just doesn't, which can be a huge problem.

ELD tracking as well as live locations n trucks, leading me to better assist someone in real time

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I like that Motive tracks our work vehicles in real time and provides a history. It's helpful because when I need to know exactly where a driver is, I don't have to call him anymore. I can simply check the app and relay that information to customers. Also, I found the initial setup of Motive very easy. We were able to handle it in-house without any experts. Our experience with Motive has been superb compared to our previous service with Verizon, where customer service was terrible.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

Sometimes tracking is delayed in the 'History' tab. I would like to see in real time where my driver has been in any given moment.

**What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Motive to monitor our work vehicles, helping with better delivery estimation. It tracks in real time and provides a history, so I don't need to call drivers for their location and can relay information to customers easily.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I use Motive as a manager to keep track of driver logs, HOS, safety, load audits, and events. It's fantastic how it centralizes everything in one cross-platform, from driver logs to safety events. The platform makes it easy to navigate logs and events for each driver and allows me to monitor drivers in real-time. I especially like knowing what the driver is doing when driving through the dash cam feature. This centralization helps ensure compliance and speeds up decision-making, ultimately saving time and enhancing overall safety.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

One area that could be improved is handling the UDEs. The current system shows a large volume of UDEs across all locations, making it difficult to quickly find the ones relevant to my drivers. Adding better filters such as location, driver, or region would make it much easier and faster to manage them. Also, the initial setup was a little complicated at first, but once you get used to it, it feels a bit easier.

I use Motive to replace paper logs, making it easier to navigate driver logs and events. It centralizes information, aiding real-time monitoring and compliance, thus saving time and enhancing safety.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I really like Motive's tracking feature. Being able to see where the drivers are at any time is very helpful for us as dispatchers. It makes it easier to dispatch when there's a pickup or delivery that needs to be done. I love that ability to track them. Another thing I like is the diagnostic tool. It lets us see if there's anything wrong with the truck, like a malfunction or fault, and shows up in Motive, which is very helpful. It lets us know to put the truck in for service. Also, the initial setup was very easy for me. My supervisors trained me on it in just a few minutes, and everything is pretty self-explanatory. Even the features I don't normally use are very easy to learn and use, making it very user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

One thing I don't like about it is it seems sometimes the tracking is off. It says they're in one area on the map, but the driver may be miles away from that location. I guess, that would be one area where I could see it could be improved to make it a more accurate location.

I use Motive for compliance with electronic logging and local laws, tracking drivers, and monitoring vehicle diagnostics. It helps ensure drivers use logbooks correctly, provides real-time driver locations, and identifies truck issues for timely service.

I like how the dashboard design is easy to navigate. It's also easy to find things, which is really convenient. Additionally, the support I receive from Motive is top-notch. The initial setup was very easy, and the device setup was simple with no issues on our end.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

The only thing I could say, and this could be user error, is that I can't save my settings across the entire company. I want to be able to save certain settings so that when I log in, those settings remain. Again, this could be user error and might already exist, but I just want to make sure that when I log in, I have a detailed list of saved settings that it defaults to show me.

I use Motive to track vehicle maintenance and location, manage safety-related incidents, and monitor overall fleet health. It helps ensure vehicles are used safely and maintenance is on time.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I appreciate the Motive help team who consistently provides quality customer service; whether over the phone.  The Motive team helps our users whenever we have an internal idea we would like to see rolled out.  Their work is quick and often provides the solution we're looking for.  The Motive Dashboard works quickly most of the time.  There is rarely delays in reports loading and if there is it is due to a large data set, which is understandable.  The AI chat function within the dashboard is also a helpful tool for a fast answer to common questions that is much appreciated.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

The one complaint our team internally has regarding Motive is that whenever a user navigates between menus in the dashboard any filters that were applied prior are wiped each time; the filters need to be reset whenever coming back to a menu.

**What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motive aids us in asset location tracking, hours of service compliance for our driving associates, and video footage of crashes and incidents.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I like using Motive because it gives me the chance to find units on the yard easily, even when the keys aren't left in the units, which happens quite often. I really appreciate that I can receive the mileage without the truck being turned on, and I can see where they are in the area, which helps me judge the time it will take them to get to the yard. It also lets me see check engine lights and prepare appropriately. Particularly, I like that I can see the mileage on the unit without having the key, which is helpful since the keys are not left in our units at our location.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

I would say the camera mount that is on the windshield could be more beefier and stronger. It's pretty weak sometimes, then breaks.

I like using Motive because it lets me find units on the yard and get mileage data without the truck being on, which helps since our keys aren't left in. It also allows me to check engine lights and prepare appropriately.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I love the ability to track drivers' hours without paper logs. I also like using it as a backup to see where drivers are, which helps with addressing locations that are hard to find. Being able to see the drivers exact location is very valuable when helping drivers get to specific locations. The ability to track hours maximizes drivers' time, ensuring no unused time. The ability to track safety scores influenced our switch from Keep Truckin to Motive. It has super useful tools, including the HOS clock, driver safety scores, and inspections. Despite an initial learning curve in setting up drivers and vehicles, it's easy to use now.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

I've experienced times when there's a discrepancy between what the drivers report and what I see on Motive regarding their break times. Sometimes the app needs refreshing to display accurate information, which can make it tough to know whose side is showing the correct data. There was also a slight learning curve when initially setting up drivers, trucks, and syncing them, but it's manageable now. Lastly, since it's all web-based, there are times when the drivers and office might see different information.

Motive allows us to track drivers' hours without paper logs, identify poor driving habits, and locate drivers accurately, helping with hard-to-find addresses. It optimizes drivers' time and improves safety scoring, though it sometimes shows different info, requiring driver app refresh.

I enjoy being able to check on my team in real time, see what mechanical failures are happening, check diesel and DEF levels, and appreciate that there is AI assistance, log tracking, compliance tracking, and safety updates that are quick. I find the ability to submit a ticket to dispute discrepancies useful and value all of the data provided for better insight into a driver's record, compliance, and safety scores. The setup of Motive was also very easy.

I think the points taken for the hard braking events are a bit egregious compared to other hard events. Motive also seems to always get country road speed limits wrong leading to speeding events that are untrue

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I like that there's a mobile app that's very seamless on the phone and super easy to navigate. It's super easy to learn, and I like that there is the Go Motive system that works with the cameras. We use the Motive app for all of our employees, and it makes it a lot easier for the employees to sign in and sign out of their shifts, whether they're on duty or off duty. The mode of act makes it very easy for us to track the safety of our drivers, whether they're falling asleep, getting tired, or there's a collision, any type of alert, which makes it very easy to respond.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

Inserting past duty statuses could be a bit easier. It would help if there was a dedicated on duty, off duty, insert duty status feature so we don't have to go through and play with the times. This particularly affects us since we are a nonemergency patient transport company, not a trucking company. Also, the initial setup was a little difficult at first. There was a learning curve that lasted about a year before everyone got the hang of using Motive.

Motive solves hours of service issues, ensures compliance with PMAs and PMBs, tracks vehicle kilometers, and makes tracking employee locations easier, simplifying our operations.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I love that I can see and manage so much involving my drivers all in one app. It's really helpful for managing drivers' logs, coaching, and writing up documents like load reviews and daily journals. I also appreciate the ease of use on my logs and pre/post trips for when I do drive. Plus, keeping a lot of my tasks in one place gives me more time for management. The initial setup of Motive was simple, which I found quite convenient.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

When signing a document, it would be nice to have my signature saved for quicker signing. I wish we could have more flexibility with reports, like trying to see which driver has had the longest safety score of 100, but can't find a way to do that. After completing a document, it would be nice to quickly start a new document of the same type, so I don't have to go back to the document page. I miss the autofill feature; it was working great, and now it doesn't really work at all.

I use Motive to manage drivers' logs and coach them, which helps keep tasks in one place and saves time for management. I like that I can manage everything involving my drivers in one app.

I like that the GPS in Motive is in real-time, which allows us to see how the truck moves by updating locations promptly and accurately, making monitoring easier and meeting our clients' demands. Additionally, I value Motive's ELD because it is secure and does not allow tampering, helping us prevent accidents and comply with U.S. authorities' regulations. I also found the initial setup of the product straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

Regarding the GPS, when you select a truck or asset (box), the first location it shows is not the real one. You have to select it again for it to update, and from there it works fine. It should be updated as soon as you open the GPS, without having to search for the unit for it to start reporting.

I use Motive for real-time satellite tracking and ELD. It offers real-time GPS, facilitating monitoring and meeting customer requests. The ELD is secure, prevents tampering, helps prevent accidents, and ensures compliance with U.S. authorities.

I like the flexibility to choose which alerts get sent to me via email, as well as the text alerts for near-collisions and collisions. The real-time asset tracking is also very valuable.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

The one major challenge we run into is more of an internal process issue than a Motive issue. At some of our job sites, multiple drivers use the same vehicle throughout the day. Because of that, there’s an unavoidable delay when one driver has to log out and complete their post-trip, and then the next driver has to log in and do their pre-trip inspection. It can be bothersome in the moment, but it’s still essential to get it done.

**What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Motive, we were using a different system that was much less intuitive and didn’t give us an accurate picture of what was really going on. Since switching to Motive, our drivers have been performing better on the road, and we feel more confident about what we’re seeing day to day.

I like that with Motive, I can see a camera view for safety, which is a great feature. I enjoy the driving reports for unsafe driving and love the alerts for when vehicles are in an accident or if there are any driving infractions. It's easy to navigate, and I love the safety tabs with events. I also appreciate that I can always go back and pull video if needed. The initial setup was super easy, and the technology is better compared to other products like Samsara and Lytx, which can be quite finicky.

I find Motive to be a great system for tracking my fleet with no issues. It's really useful that it's available as an app on my iPhone. I also like how it integrates with Google Maps, which allows me to quickly pull up the location of equipment. When I need to send equipment to someone in the field, I can get directions to their location quickly. Additionally, the initial setup of Motive was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

Only thing I wish it could have on the app on iPhone is the ability to see my drivers' route for the day like I can on the computer. Just where I can click on the driver and have his route for the day of where he's been to.

What I like most about Motive is its AI cameras and the safety management system. They help us document and review incidents when they happen, and they’ve saved us on claims more than once. I also appreciate the ranking system, because it creates a sense of friendly safety competition among our drivers.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

The biggest issues we’ve dealt with are connectivity and mileage tracking. Both seem inconsistent, and that makes it difficult for us to reliably track our drivers. I know Support tries to help, but they haven’t been able to provide a permanent fix for us. Overall, it feels like we’re paying for the service but not getting the full experience.

Like any other ELD system, it gives us a way to track our trucks and keep an eye on any safety events. It also integrates with other systems we already use, which makes it easier to manage everything in one place.

I think that the interface and segmentation of the admin and the driver app are simplified and not overcomplicated. After a small amount of training, there is not a heavy learning curve for finding where things are or how to get there. The reports tab and adding new Motive ELDs are very step-by-step and easy to follow.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

I noticed that the reports could be more accurate. Sometimes the activity detail report doesn't perfectly match up with the history. Also, some units have difficulty staying connected during trips, maybe due to vibration or connectivity issues, or because of Motive coverage in certain areas. I'd like reliability to be closer to 99%. I also found the initial setup took a decent amount of time, and I had to train a few leaders to share knowledge with others.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

My favorite thing about Motive is the maintenance schedules and the driver's reports. I can setup just about any maintenance schedule on either a mileage basis or by time. 
Being able to check in on how drivers are operating their trucks is great too, I can see how long they idle, make a flag for it so I get an email, or if they're driving aggressively, or if they're driving well and can be rewarded for taking care of their equipment and driving safely. 
If you have a newer truck the integration is fairly simple, just find the correct things to plug in and boom, its up and communicating.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

The least helpful thing about Motive is how its not always accurate with the mileage, and it wont let you change it in the system, thats very frustrating. Or if its a little bit of an older truck (early 2000s) it wont always communicate with it properly, so it wont keep track of run time and miles, but the location tracking somehow still works.

**What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest issue Motive is solving is how people drive, a driver will tell you one thing, but the software will show the truth. Especially in accidents, I can see how fast they were or were not going. We have not started using the camera systems, but that would make it even more beneficial.

Compared to competing software I've used, the UI and overall workflow of Motive is very polished. It is easy to run reports, extrapolate information, and keep up to date on things in real-time.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

My only real gripe would be that, compared to say Geotab, the main Fleet View in Motive is not live. You can choose to follow individual units, but if you want to see your entire fleet moving in real-time, no dice. Not a deal-breaker by any means, but hitting refresh everytime you go back to the main screen gets a little redundant.

**What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motive integrates well with our leased unit's systems, which is hugely beneficial in keeping track of all of the day to day of telematics. It allows us to accurately track where our vehicles have been, and to go back and look later on when verification is needed. It also keeps an eye on the overall behavior of our drivers, whether they adhere to laws of the road, drive aggressively, or are driving distracted. This has led to some significant changes in policy on our end as we have become of aware of the realities out on the road.

What I like most is how simple it is for men who aren’t very technology-inclined. We’re a construction business, not a trucking company, so we needed something straightforward. With our previous system, the guys just wouldn’t use it properly.

If you don’t respond right away, or you haven’t had time yet to get a vehicle into the shop, support keeps emailing multiple times throughout the day. They also send second and third reminders, but the original email chain isn’t included in the body of the message, so you have no idea what they’re referring to unless you look up the case. On top of the emails, they also call your cell phone, and it can even be at night when there’s a three-hour time difference.

I want them to solve more of my problems, but they haven’t. My cases are still sitting in product feedback, even though I have many valid reasons for raising them.

The safety video fetching could be simpler or easier. I've used Lytx and their video samples, even for speeding, were quicker to be available and didn't require a video to be requested. The initial setup was easy, especially transitioning from a driver to a back office role. Overall, Motive is the best fleet tracking software I've used in my career.

Motive can be inconsistent in the events that it flags. Some events that show up on records are standard when driving. I had a driver get flagged for distracted driving for grabbing his Tic Tacs from the cup holder, even though he hadn't taken his eyes off the road for more than a second. This is flagged just as harshly as someone rifling through their personal belongings for more than three seconds.

I really appreciate the ease of use and simplicity of the Motive dashboard. It's very easy to navigate, making it user-friendly. I also like the logbook feature and the ease of editing the logbooks if needed. The calculation of the graph and the use of the sleeper are driver-friendly and easy to navigate. I enjoy the log booking GPS tracking ability, AI dash camera, quick access to review camera footage, and crash alerts, which are awesome when you're away from the computer. It has been a game changer for us. Additionally, I like the ease of the actual physical installation on the vehicles, the quality of the cables, and the cameras.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

One thing that sometimes becomes troublesome is attempting to find video footage, especially when you don't have an exact time of when an incident occurred. Having to download videos in minute increments or a time lapse makes it extremely hard to track down a specific event. That's my only real complaint. Also, it would be better if the cameras had a disconnect where the cable meets the camera, just so it would be easier to replace the dash camera without having to replace the entire cable.

Motive helps us quickly locate our vehicles and access their history. The AI dash camera is great for reviewing footage and getting crash alerts, especially when away from the computer. It's been a game changer for us.

I like the visibility and control Motive gives me in one place. I can see everything in real time, from where trucks are to how drivers are performing, which makes it much easier to stay on top of safety and catch issues early. It saves time by cutting down on constant check-ins and manual work, allowing me to focus more on improving operations. I can instantly see where every truck is and who's on schedule, and I can take action based on what I see. If a driver is taking risks, falling behind, or if the truck has issues, I can step in early instead of reacting after something goes wrong. Everything is in one system, which frees me to focus on bigger priorities like improving performance and hitting goals. The initial setup was very easy.

I dislike probably the false or unclear alerts from the dash cam or safety events. Sometimes driving behavior gets flagged even when it isn't really a serious issue, which can lead to extra review time or unnecessary coaching conversations.

The most helpful things about Motive would be the ability to see where our drivers are in case of breakdowns, emergencies and those types of scenarios. I like the ability to be able to pull up documents based on their criteria and date of upload as well- independently and in groups of each driver. Another great feature is the ability to see how long until the driver arrives at their next destination. That has been very helpful daily!

One downside I have noticed is that sometimes the Fleet View does lag a bit and will show my driver out in the middle of nowhere, when in fact they are doing 69 on the freeway somewhere. It's not very often, but does happen

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I use Motive for tracking drivers at my hub and monitoring safety. I like the user interface of Motive the most; it is very user-friendly and nice to look at. I think the driver messaging works well. The coaching/performance section is very well designed, allowing me to sit down with the driver, review any safety events, provide tips on driving safely, and document conversations in the notes section. It is very easy to set up, pretty much plug and play for the Motive ELDs, and the user interface is very intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

I think that Motive could update location more frequently, it only pings driver location every two minutes, and I would love to get a more accurate location more often from drivers. When drivers are on long trips, it can be difficult to get an updated location on them when the location ping is only every two minutes. Additionally, sometimes the site needs to be refreshed in order to get an accurate location. I would appreciate if the site refreshed itself and that the location pinged more frequently to get a better idea for driver's exact locations, in order to potentially avoid late departures from locations.

I like the usability and ease of use of Motive. All the data it pulls through gives us a lot of input. When it comes to safety, I'm able to look through data and trends to see how my drivers are performing through a certain time period, and it helps me take the correct action on coaching those drivers.

The live tracking feature and the fleet view feature need some work. I've used competitors like Samsara before, and they have a much better live tracking feature and view system. Whenever I try to view my fleet and single out to our site, I have to click on each individual truck to see where they are. I can't see all the trucks in the fleet view.

The only thing that was confusing at first was changing between just a regular user and the fleet user, since I'm an administrator for my company. Additionally, I find Motive easy to use, with plenty of ways to do a single task, which means anyone with a fleet could use it effectively.

I'd like to see some improvement in the way data appears (or sometimes doesn't) when extracting reports. If a driver has not generated any safety event, they sometimes won't appear on a report. I would prefer they appeared as 100% compliant rather than not appearing at all.

I like the dashboard and analytics in Motive and the ability to create visualizations that are relevant to the way we do business. I have created dashboards that allow our supervisors to view their crews and quickly manage their hours of service compliance and safety features. They also use the dashboard to provide coaching to drivers shortly after events happen on the road. The setup was easy, as we set up and went live with 400 trucks in 1 month in winter in Alberta.

Currently we are not using the asset tracker because the data link doesn't have a cellular connection. I have provided feedback to Motive about some changes that can be made to help identify vehicles with defective devices quicker and easier.

I really find the AI facial detection to be great. It saves our managers a lot of time because there's no need to assign drivers to their trips manually, or for the drivers to do it themselves. As soon as a driver gets into the vehicle, the camera recognizes them and the system automatically signs them in. This feature is something that other competitors don't have, and it prevents us from spending about thirty minutes a day just assigning trips from previous days. Another thing I appreciate is the initial setup, which was dead easy. The team, especially Massimo and the guys he works with, were amazing and very helpful. We've had continuous support from them, with Massimo checking in with us all the time and being ready to set up training for my team when needed. Their support doesn't just stop after selling the product; it's ongoing.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

I guess there's just a few bits that are still being tweaked. Motive's come over from the US, so everything's tailored to the US market even as far as their systems showing a dollar sign for the fuel spend even though we know it's pounds. So, yeah, there's just a few, you know, minor bits like that, which, you know, I'm sure they'll be in and out in the next few months.

I really appreciate the dashcam feature in Motive because it helps in the event of an accident. The safety alerts are also great; the AI cameras detect cell phone usage and distracted driving, which is very useful. I also find the installation of the ELD and dashcam to be very simple.

When searching for a unit in the search bar, sometimes you have to triple click to be able to type. There is room for large improvements. Their older version worked much better. Discontinuing the solar asset tracker was very disappointing; now, the tracker has to be hardwired into a power source, making installs more in-depth for some.

One thing I hear drivers complain about is the native camera app. They complain that sometimes the AI auto-focus makes the camera zoom up on stickers or tags on the product and makes it difficult to take good pictures of the delivered product. It would also be nice if there would be a higher picture limit per routed stop. If it was more like 10 or 12, that would be nice.

The best thing about Motive is how EVERYTHING is concisely contained in one, easy-to-use, website!

My only complaint about Motive is that I have had to adjust some of the parameters for things like HARD BRAKING and HARD CORNERING events. I originally received too many Alerts, and most were not dangerous situations at all. But even the parameters were simple to adjust.

Motive solves several problems for me!! The GPS lets me know where my drivers are located, the dash cams are priceless when an accident occurs, the driver safety scores help me to manage my drivers, the Hours of Service feature with ELDs helps me to know exactly who I have available and for how many hours.  AND, when any of these modules notice an issue with  any driver, I get an alert immediately!!

I like that Motive pinpoints certain aspects and allows me to download or export a form to present to our employees when there is a violation, having them sign so it's documented that they understand the violation. I also appreciate being able to share the video with the employee and target pinpointed behaviors that do not comply with our company's safety culture.

The speed of receiving a requested video is probably the biggest frustration that I have. I can request a video between five minutes to an hour, and I get those very speedily. However, any videos that I request from one to three minutes can take five minutes to thirty minutes to an hour at times, which is very, very frustrating.

Motive helps us address bad driving behaviors like stop sign violations, seat belt violations, and distracted driving, ensuring we are safe and courteous drivers.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

Motive is a great program for tracking our drivers' safety performance. I like that it tracks the fleet live, allowing me to see where every vehicle is located. It's also great at tracking down drivers and recording live feeds, which helps with passenger complaints. The program works well in recording driver speed and informs me of any unsafe events happening in real-time. Additionally, it helps us determine how well the drivers are performing their duties or responsibilities in the field. The initial setup is very easy to understand, making it accessible for us.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

Motive does not always calculate hard braking events correctly, and it does not identify bike racks.

**What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Motive to track driver safety and evaluate driving behavior, helping with passenger complaints and monitoring unsafe events in real time. It lets me see vehicle locations and records speed, enhancing fleet management.

  ### 47. Effective Driver Monitoring, Needs ELD Enhancements

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I like that the camera helps identify drivers who run stop signs. I also think the voice alerts are a great tool for coaching in real time.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

I think Motive could have easier ELD navigation. For example, I can only mass edit a week's worth of logs instead of a month. It would be helpful if the odometer would record at every stopping event. The initial setup was not too easy, and there are a lot of false speed limit readings.

**What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motive helps with ELD compliance and safety; the camera identifies drivers running stop signs, and the voice alerts assist in real-time coaching.

  ### 48. Essential Tool for Driver Monitoring and Payroll Management

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I use Motive to review driver logs and calculate driving time for payroll. It lets me know where the driver is at a certain period, how long they've been driving, and whether they work that day or not. It really helps me with work. I enjoy monitoring driver hours and watching the cameras. The most valuable feature to me is the Activity detail report, which helps me determine the driver hours. So far, everything is working fine for me.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

I have nothing against the whole system.

**What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Motive to review driver logs, track driving hours, and confirm driver presence, which makes payroll calculations much easier.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

I really appreciate the simplicity of Motive, making it easy for drivers to use due to its user-friendliness. For dispatch purposes, being able to efficiently see where drivers are and where they have been is quite straightforward. Also, accessing their logs is simple. The software setup is fairly simple and efficient and I believe the hardware is easy to install for the techs.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

There are additional steps to access information that probably aren't necessary. Motive hasn't updated with some of the other providers in cleaning up the dashboard. Speed and accuracy of the service aren't top of the line anymore, and there are some user-friendly aspects that aren't top-notch.

**What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Motive for tracking trucks and monitoring log books. It solves time management and location tracking issues. I like its simplicity and user-friendliness, making dispatch tasks like accessing driver locations and logs simple and efficient.

**What do you like best about Motive?**

Motive offers a good electronic log and reporting system.

**What do you dislike about Motive?**

They did something to change the add service notes in maintenance that keeps me from retrieving service notes that I just entered. When I enter a service note I have to hurry and attach the documents/invoices asap or the service note will disappear.  I can't enter a service note for a trailer until I specifically tap on the all assets tab.  I finally figured ways around these changes, but why were they implemented anyway?  Why change something that works???

**What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to visually track each truck easier.  This helps us with time sensitive issues and communication.
