Samsara is super easy to use. We have used other similar options and the UI is clunky, it doesn't always work, and you often can't find what you need. Samsara is so good that even in an stressful situation non tech savvy people can pull the video. It always works. It never has an error. It is so reliable. They have great service. They innovate for their users. It is rare to find a well run company that actually makes changes based on user feedback. It is always getting better and they are not charging more for that. You need to download sensitive videos beause they will not immediatley store for a period long enough to cover you for a potential future lawsuit. I understand though as data storage is way expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We put the units in two of our fleet vehicles and it's great to have in order to defend our guys against fraudulent claims of dangerous driving. The over speed alerts are nice to have as well to give feedback back to our drivers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only downside i have is the audio retrivial. They only allow audio in 1 minute incriments. Do you need to pull an hour long trip for legal reasons? Have fun manually selecting, waiting and downloading 60+ clips. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We’ve been using the Samsara Fleet platform for a couple of months now, and the experience has been really good. The platform is intuitive, making it easy for our team to navigate and access the information we need, specially in my position where I need to pull put weekly information for truck reports and productivity reports.

I personally like the ability to customize various aspects of our fleet management, such as driver profiles and identifying individual drivers. The statistical insights for each driver are comprehensive, allowing us to track performance effectively. The comparative charts provide a clear visual representation, which helps us evaluate our operations more efficiently.

Additionally, the AI camera technology it's one of the best components for the company I work ofr. It detects driving infractions, and situations like no seat belt, or harsh breaks, sending real-time notifications if a driver is not complying with safety standards, which make it easy to address any issues immediately calling the driver.

I do not see this as a downside, but rather as something that could be improved. It would be beneficial if, during the trip searches, you could select multiple trips at a time to view them on the map, rather than having to look at them one by one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Samsara helps us manage our fleet of trucks with ease. Their pin point gps locaters, easy to use camera system, and vehicle logging data make this system well worth it. It has saved us in accidents to prove we weren't at fault. System gives us diagnostic information to make getting the trucks fixed in a timely manner is also a life saver. The ability to see what trouble codes the vehicle is throwing prior to it arriving at a repair facility is extremely helpful. The only downside is the initial price of the equipment, for a large fleet it works great in the long run. Would not be as ideal for a small fleet of 10 or less units Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Access to in depth HOS Compliance reporting.

Reporting lack of standard identifiers such as no employee id within the HOS Violations Report but having this in many other driver related reports creating need to seek API options.

I like the alerts sent. They are pretty accurate. And being able to see the camera views is helpful. They were very easy to install and setup. And the customer service has been amazing! The only complaint I have is that when the invoice is sent, it's withdrawn the same day. It would be nice to have an extra day or two to process the invoice that's sent before the funds come out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Samsara, allows me to track current location but also previous locations of equipment and power units. It also allows me to keep track of which drivers are using the equipment, and monitor the health of each piece. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only downside that we have is during our snow operations, our equipment have the equipment gateway, we would like to see a cost effective solution for adding cameras in equipment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Installation was easy across the fleet. Samsara is paramount in the delivery of precious cargo. I like knowing exactly where every unit of our fleet is in our network. Also, realtime engine issues and any refridgeration anomalies are both tremendous features. Integration was great with our other fleet management software. Custommer support is always quick and on point. Since we started using this platform, there has been zero downtime. It is used 24 hours a day 7 days a week for our business. The only issue I found was setting up the different truck classes and drivers. Setting up a driver or unit that needs to be governed by DOT and hours of service or not. This also requires different DVIR setups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
