The Samsara platform has many tools that are helpful in all aspects of transportation, from ELD's to fuel management, to routing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the downsides of Samsara is the deadzones in our area of work, and some of the trouble shooting takes time and ill have it figured out before support gets back to me Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It allows me to monitor the location and saftey of our vehicles at any time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be nice if everything was all inclusive vs paying for addtional add ons. But I can see why they do that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
All assets are tracked on a single platform account
Map views are very useful with the daily movement shown Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some powerless units have a hard time getting a ping when away from a gateway station.
Bluetooth would be a great increase in readability of locations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you're in charge of a fleet of vehicles or managing operations that depend on transportation, you know how challenging it can be to keep track of everything. That's where the Samsara app comes in. It's like a one-stop shop for fleet management, offering a mix of real-time GPS tracking, driver monitoring, vehicle health checks, and more—all accessible through a super intuitive mobile app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
All is really good.
Adore using that tracking app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Samsara is a great tool to keep track of our fleet's locations and helps us monitor and improve driving safety. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Once you get locked into a contract, it is impossible to get anyone to work with you. I am being charged monthly for an extra license when our account has two licenses that were paid and unused. I am on my 3rd account manager in 9 months and have not been able to get anywhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The clarity and support, defenitly helped ease the nervousness of this switching services that are needed 24/7. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What Samsara coould not offer, we were able to find a work around and still gather reports/information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Starts with ease in install. We installed in a major fleet in less that a week. Against all recommendations we had to use the "big bang" approach. Went down with past provider, brought the company up in a couple hours on the Samsara platform and all went well. Support is amazing compaired to others, had daily meeting prior to the install. Post install we still have quarterly meeting to discuss operations. Great product, great company and more importantly....great people that actually care about you and your business! Somethimes the information from the truck is too granular. In todays world if you have no intention of improving your safety ratings, Samsara isn't for you. Will provide you that granular safety information for the truck and driver that has to be addressed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The most helpful aspect of samsara would be the quality and interface of the safety inbox/dash cams. Since implementing samsara dashcams into our fleet we have been able to identify and protect our assets at a level never before thought. with notifications by text of harsh brakes, harsh turns, lane departure and many more help identify mistakes in real time and be proactive. in combination with the safety score cards for divers, you are able to identify which drivers are safe for other road users and which need more training. There aren’t many downsides I see present during our use of samsara. The only issue I see is sometimes there could be a notifier on when video is going to expire. because video dates differ from unit to unit. for one unit it can be upwards of 2 weeks, for some others only 7 days. so sometimes footage that is needed can be missed. with a notifier of when video will expire or changing settings this could be resolved.
