Samsara has wonderful fleet tracking abilities. I always know exactly where my buses are at any moment. The live tracking link also is so handy to share with customers when they are waiting for a bus rescue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, there isn't really anything I dislike Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Samsara is incredibly user-friendly and intuitive, which makes it easy to navigate and utilize its features efficiently. The real-time GPS tracking is extremely accurate and helps in monitoring the fleet effectively. The dashboard is customizable, allowing for a tailored view of the most critical metrics. Additionally, the customer support is prompt and knowledgeable, providing excellent assistance whenever needed. One downside of Samsara is that it can be quite expensive for smaller businesses, which might find it challenging to justify the cost. The initial setup and training can be somewhat time-consuming, requiring dedicated resources to ensure proper implementation. What I like best about Samsara is how reliable it is. I am a Fleet Supervisor for a small(ish) NJ based company but we operate up and down the East Coast. I have over 100 vehicles that I have to keep an eye on and maintain and from the cameras, to the alerts, reminder emails, the DVIRs - everything is at your fingertips. Best of all, it is user friendly. All our techs must have the driver app so every morning they do their vehicle inspections and submit photos before their day begins. When I need customer support, I can call Josh up and he always answers and walks me through it all and makes sure I understand everything. The one or two times I left him messages, he got back to me asap. We use these cameras every day and when accidents happen, the video and audio is so crisp and clean, we have gotten out of a few "he said, he said" accidents because the camera showed it wasn't our fault. I were able to introduce the DVIRs to our out of state employees through a step by step sheet and a quick video I made. The ease of getting all the techs to do this was amazing. There are so many features that you will use everyday or at least once a week when generating reports for your company - it's just very easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The one down side is trying to route the day. Maybe this was designed for regular deliveries and such but that doesn't work in our industry. We are a water meter company and our techs are all over depending if it's AM appts or PM appts. Currently the routing seems more of a straight forward line of travel and not the way we would use it. I am still messing with it but it seems like I won't be able to use that fuction just yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing about Samsara is the ease of use and ease of Integration. It took maybe 15 minutes to set up in our fleet. Everything we need is then right on the website from logs, to camera's to map and route features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The least helpful is customer service. Nothing bad about them they just take a day or 2 to review the complaints and try to resolve the issue, which in some instances is to long. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that i can see in real time where a car is located or moving towards, i like the tracking and mapping it provides. I really enjoy that it gives Vehicle diagnostics. I use this on a daily basis, and it provides a great ease to use. I have not needed to contact support or have any tech issues since using. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The calendar to pick certain days, it seems to be a little glichy, but once i try a few times it comes together. That would be my only flaw i see Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The visibility the product brings to enable the user to see what they may not have seen in the past. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Reporting function could be better out of the box although the API's allow the user to dump the data into a preferred analytical tool Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Samsara being a nation wide databse is helpful the most, being able to monitor sites from thousand of miles away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Samsara is great for tracking drivers and tractor data, including routes, in and out times, and even dash cam footage. The AI powered dashcams are great for keeping an eye on drivers allowing us to coach them on bad behaviours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish the trailer tracking was default. We don't use it, but if it was more accessible we would, currently we cheat and look at the drivers logs for tracking trailers, which is a work around for something that could easily be enabled anyway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Overall, the system makes it very easy to track our trailers, and the website is simple to navigate. It provides a clear and user-friendly interface for monitoring trailer locations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm not sure if the issue lies with the GPS unit or the site, but it seems that at times the sensor fails to detect when the trailer is moved, which results in no movement history being recorded. Another issue I've encountered is that the units are easily unplugged, which affects their functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
