So far Samsara has been working well for me, but it would be helpful if the image/document uploading could be improved so that maybe an AI can auto crop and enhance the documents. This will make it better to read and understand by the customers. I've also encountered some image loading problems in the past, but have not seen those again recently. We recently implemented Samsara as an integration with our existing Trucking Management Software, and the experience has been highly positive. Setting up Samsara was straightforward, with minimal complications, allowing us to quickly get up and running without extensive technical support. Working in Dispatch, the thing I find most helpful about Samsara is all the features it provides. I am the Scheduling Coordinator of an EMS company in the bay area. I love that I can type the ambulance's name and calculate etas in real time for our providers. It is also great that Samsara tells us the ins and outs of our ambulances, such as: if the emt's seatbelt is on or off, if fuel or tire pressure is low, if someone is going lights and sirens when they shouldn't; everything we need to know is right in Samsara. Customer Service is terrible. Frustrating dealing with tech who ask the same answers provided in original ticket. Response time far exceeds normal support systems. You are locked into the device as it is, no modifications even to simple items, like reasons for changing duty status, if it's not listed, you can't add custom reasons. They have to figure out where their main business it. Personal conveyance is limited to the Canadian restriction, not open like the US. Great for Canada, not good if your business is in the USA.

The fuel purchase import system is a joke. Sometimes it does not select the actual location of the fueling, but the corporate office to the fuel supplier. It gets confused sometimes about what country the stop is located. I have a stop in New Jersey, that te system returns as the UK. Last I checked there are no roads between USA and Britain. Also. the geo coding limits the area to 500 yards of the address. Remote fuel islands are sometimes out of range, when brought to their attention, they blame it on a third-party vendor the use for mapping. I did not pick their third-party vendor, If I remember right, I’m paying them to provide solutions, not excuses.

It works, but expect no help and any suggestions is met with we can do that. I gave up a long time ago, giving suggestions, and live with the system as is. And forget talking to your account rep after the contract is executed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's frustrating when you are logging in and you don't see your HOS "OFF DUTY" hours before logging in. This can cause drivers to log in too early, since you are required to go "ON DUTY" before you can even see your HOS availability.

It's also frustrating when you are logging in to test something you have to go through the entire PRE AND POST TRIP process before being able to log out and also log out of a truck. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
