I like that we have one place to store all of our employee's information and data. We can pull reports and set up file feeds with carriers for benefits and any vendors who need access. We are also able to manage our 1099 and international employees in this software. These features make it easy to track pay, benefits, EEO information, and any other information that needs to be followed. We have enjoyed the ATS (applicant tracking software) as well. It has allowed up to maintain the pipeline for multiple roles posted with ease and keep track of applicants who are going through the hiring pipeline. Our managers have access to the ATS and are able to submit recommendations on who they would like to move forward. There is also an organization chart to see who is in which department and under what leader which makes it easy to monitor and move employees internally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The implementation process was long and not the easiest. It took a while for us to get everything in line and set up file feeds. The system can also be tricky in getting everything set up - sometimes, this causes issues when changing one item in the design; it can break another or mess up another process already in place. There are training courses but can sometimes be unclear. When getting into the system, we found many items had not been set up or had been set up incorrectly. We are a smaller company, so we were able to resolve these issues, but for more prominent companies - this would likely be a more significant issue. The ATS can also be tricky with applicants not getting through the pipeline because of minor fields missing in their applications. Paycom is user-friendly. It's easy to set up and get all the necessary paperwork completed when hiring. The checklists make it simple to see what you have completed and what paperwork you still need to finish. I love how easy it is to navigate the app and request time off. I can now approve my paychecks each week and get an even more detailed breakdown of what my deductions are each paycheck. I am also able to compare them to previous weeks to see any changes. I wish the PTO accruals were listed in both hours and days (i.e., you have 28 hours or 3.5 days). It would make it even easier to check and know exactly where you stand without doing the math yourself. There have been some delays with getting benefit information updated for employees.
