Everything is manual in Paycom. From changing classification of an employee where they are benefits eligible, to recognizing employees' works-in state when they remote. They also do not have a process for Onboarding rehires. They refuse to integrate with other systems under the premise that the other systems are a competitor. This creates additional manual work for their client to import data in other systems. Their ATS is flawed. ACA filing is a nightmare. I could go on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

They definitely do not make it easy to set up benefits open enrollment. Small group (table rated) medical insurance rates AND contributions had to be keyed in manually for each age band , for each plan, for employees and again for dependents and again for children. This country is primarily made up of small businesses so it is crazy that they can't import table rates into their system using Vericred or a similar service.
Clunky employee enrollment experience - lots of errors received when employees try to submit their benefit elections.
When an administrator is viewing benefits "as an employee" anything that is saved by the administrator when in employee view isn't saved in the system - it is so much easier for both admins and employees if an administrator can save the desired elections and then all the employee has to do it log in to sign/submit benefit elections.
I realize that this is a payroll company and not a benefit admin company but they really need to step up their benefit enrollment game. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Paycom's customer support is unmatched. I tend to email more than call, but I have always received a timely (and accurate) response within 24 hours. Our rep has scheduled quick meetings if needed to demo a feature of Paycom to be sure we understand it. Payroll processing, the reporting capabilities and the PAF features of Paycom are the most heavilty utilized at our company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Paycom allows employees to check information including payroll rates, view pay stubs, check and update employee information, adjust deductions, etc., all thru a convenient app and website. I have used other programs that were difficult to use, but Paycom makes it user-friendly. I have used Paycom with my last 2 employers; and the application/access varied slightly with each company. I think Paycom could improve their menu to include more quick links instead of providing a dropdown tab then having to click again. Quick links that I access frequently are accrued PTO hours and approved time off rates. Paycom has created a way for companies to modify the software based on their companies needs.
