Paycom can accommodate nearly any business's structure, schedule, etc., as it is incredibly customizable. For almost any "issue," there is a solution. Relative to ADP, it is far less "clunky", and we find ourselves Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We were able to streamline all of our processes. We eliminated the multiple systems and now only have one system with minimal data entry. The applicant tracking has helped us out tremendously as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to manipulate the system to reflect our current processes can be challenging at times. We do have some unique set-ups, so, understandably, it's difficult, but the ability to make changes to the system after applicant tracking is limited, and you have little access to that team. We were sold on the system for its adaptability and ability to customize our functions and way of business. Still, being a Public employer, we have a fair amount of nuanced practices, and Paycom cannot always fit what we need for our business. Paycom has all of the right components and in theory should work incredibly well for mid-market size companies, however, we are unfortunately as complicated as huge conglomerates with enterprise-level needs on a mid-market budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It wasn't until after we began importing our data and training our staff and managers on how to use the Paycom system that we realized we were in a solution that was not well suited to address our complexities; ultimately leading to a failed implementation. I think a large part of the blame rests with us on how we articulated our needs in selecting the platform initially, so I cannot in good conscience give Paycom an overall poor rating. The only thing I would fault them for is promising things without fully understanding who we are and what we needed. Over promising and under delivering is extremely common in SaaS sales cycles across the board. I like how there are so many features, I mean, this program has the potential to provide employees with almost anything they could need pertaining to their personal employment at their company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
70% of these features were useless for me because they either did not work or were too confusing and/or cumbersome for HR and management to actually update and use.
Also, customer support persons rarely seem to be familiar themselves with Paycom's program and when they refer you to someone higher up, they often take upwards of 1 month or more to respond to queries or requests for support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how simple Paycom is to use! Both employees and managers have a one-stop shop for their HR and Payroll information. Paycom's reporting is efficient and makes it very easy to build custom reports. Paycom's customer service is super helpful and quick to respond as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One minor thing I would change would be the ability to edit pre-defined reports. I love their advanced report writer and how easy it is to build a good report, but there are times when Paycom has the perfect report,and I need to add a column or two. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
