Paycom takes the guesswork out of calculating payroll. They free time in my schedule by allowing employees to clock in and out on their computers and make direct deposit changes. Employee self-service has put control into the hands of our employees. They can easily look up or change information, enroll in and take training courses, track their PTO and so much more. We've come a long way from the days when we had to make all the changes ourselves and it's given us time to take care of other important things for our employees. The checklist feature! You no longer have to use a checklist in word or excel to remind you of all of the different tasks that need to be done when on-boarding, off-boarding, have a life-changing event, etc. The Checklist feature makes everything so much cleaner. This one is a bit of a double-edged sword. Paycom is always making adjustments and improvements, which is fantastic when we learn of those that help us in our process but the notification of when these changes occur seems to be lacking and can sometimes through a wrench into our process. It is easy to keep track of hours, daily schedules, time off requests, and benefits all in one platform. It makes it easy for me to find valuable resources that my employer can upload. In addition, rather than sign and file paper copies of forms, we are able to select our benefits and sign documents online, with a digital record. The interface is a bit less intuitive than I'd like. Some of the menus aren't clear to direct me to the area I am looking for. There are consistent updates with the app and the mobile website. Nothing. I have used Paycom for a year. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH THIS PRODUCT. I manage all IT for a small manufacturing facility. In 25 years, I have never come across a SAS that I liked less. The admin user interface is almost nonsensical in the way that the information is organized. It takes so long to find anything and the reporting function is hard to use. You do not have access to even basic things like account billing information. You have to request a special report if you want to know how much you are spending each month since it varies due to numerous hidden fees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
HORRIFIC PRODUCT- terrible user interface, denigrating customer service, 0 transparency in pricing, and extremely buggy.
A couple of examples of problems we have experienced:
employees would show logged in on days they were not working
the time clock randomly was deauthorized so that no employees could clock in or out
Lastly, while most customer service agents were helpful and professional, occasionally, one would be derisive and say things like I don't see the problem on my screen, so the problem is not occurring. Although Paycom is a tech company, customer service is unable to screen share. Over the unhappy year, we used Paycom, conservatively we wasted 60 hours fighting unnecessarily with the product. Paycom has an extensive report center, giving you the power to set an overwhelming variety of parameters to capture specific information. The volume of data you can pull is quite impressive.
