It's user friendly and yet it has all the components you need to successfully manage your employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No dislikes at this time. I will certainly up date my review if that changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Paycom's software is easy to use and has a straightforward feature set. The employee app is also something that is easy to use. The HRIS system has helped us to become paperless in our onboarding/offboarding processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their customer service is segmented so that you cannot resolve technical tax issues directly with someone who knows how to handle it. The customer service structure has caused multiple costly adjustments from prior quarter and prior year tax returns. If you deal with complicated employee taxes such as visas or exemptions, they do not have the requisite knowledge to help you with these. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Paycom has really been a game-changer for Stadia Church Planting -- housing all of our HR services on one platform, putting the onus on the employee to ensure their data is correct, and efficiently managing hiring cycles frees up our HR team to complete more projects to help toward Stadia's mission of every child having a church.
Nichole Minst and Carl Calicutt have been instrumental in transitioning us to Paycom's services, and I wouldn't have wanted to work through this transition with anyone else. We highly recommend Paycom and are so glad we made the switch! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I dislike so far is that some fields have requirements that aren't listed, so when I fill out data on a page and click submit, it will reject all of the data and delete everything. I'll have to fill out the entire page again, instead of just the field Paycom didn't accept. I'd be happy to comply with any field requirements if they were posted. Keeps all my important information in one spot
Both of my jobs are accessible on the same system. Easy enough to go in and adjust timecard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The time clock is very confusing and I always get it wrong so have to go back in and adjust my in and out times. Frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Paycom is simple to use. Once you get the hand of the system, it just makes sense. Everything is simple and easy to use.
I like how efficient the system is. Employee Self Service, Self-Onboarding, Batch Approvals - There are so many areas where Paycom has ensured efficiency for those who use it and, therefore, time saved and headaches spared. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While extremely helpful, I wish the Employee Self Service View was more functional. It is a feature that lets you access what an employee is seeing. But it functions more like a demo so if you click on something, it may or may not work. This is limiting because I can't guide an employee exactly what to do if I can only see so much. I have personally worked with Paycom over 4 years now and absolutely love the system! Recently, I started at the Akron Art Museum and when there was interest in changing payroll vendors, I knew Paycom would be the perfect fit. Due to its user friendly nature and the superb customer service, the museum is the 3rd company I have implemented Paycom. The implementation process is very smooth, they have it down to a science. On the customer service, I would say 95% of the time you get 1st call resolution. And you don't have to wait for hours on hold, the phone is answered right away. The feedback we have received from our employees is very good, everyone is giving Paycom two thumbs up! Thank you to the Cleveland team, especially Matt and Liz, for all you have done for us! I have been asked this question on reference calls and it is hard for me to answer! A few minor things I would change would be 1) to be able to edit pre-defined reports to add a column or two. The reporting is very easy to write your own, but sometimes there is a perfect report already in there, you just need one more piece of info. 2) More hire date/term date fields. When we used Paycom at the call center I worked for, we needed more fields as people came and went very often - several times a year. With only 2 term date fields, our ACA reporting would not be correct. If your company does not have a lot of turnover, then this would not impact you at all. 3) When downloading a report in excel there are not totals, they need manually added. Would be nice for the report to have totals like the pdf version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Paycom helps organize the HR function. It is not just payroll, but integrates time and attendance along with time-off policies, reporting, the org chart, etc. You can integrate learning management as well to ensure compliance with mandatory training sessions. The implementation team was extremely responsive and assisted with training employees, even though they could not be on-site due to COVID. Other providers have been difficult from a service perspective, but Paycom has been very helpful and timely in that area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Paycom is priced at a premium compared to other products and there seems to be issues with flexibility in terms of being able to remove services once you sign up for them. For example, due to price-bundling methodologies/policies, you may not be able to remove a certain service you are currently using and get your package repriced at a lower cost. Paycom should, in my opinion, look into loosening up this policy so people can try certain aspects of the system without the risk of having to bear that cost for the lifetime of the relationship. The way that we have automated so many of our processes. We have increased our processes and efficiencies greatly. Paycom has also given us greater insights into our operations and employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The learning curve can be slow but once you get it you get it. There also so many people at Paycom that there are time that we don't know who to contact with a specific question. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Paycom has a very smooth user interface and it is quick to learn. Most actions were one-click and the page refreshes automatically to check work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There was not much to dislike regarding Paycom. The only con that comes to mind is my own memory when logging in between client and employee accounts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
