**What do you like best about Paycom?**

Paycom is a comprehensive solution with the ability to help employees and supervisors. The new AI widget has also made it easier to find support and understand the information you are looking at. Accessibility across multiple devices helps to make Paycom easy to access and use as both an employee and supervisor.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

The biggest issue I have found with Paycom is the Time Clock application. While trying to run a Time Clock kiosk on an iPad, it can be difficult to setup based on how Paycom requires a link to authenticate, then the active link changes. This makes it cumbersome when trying to use the kiosk in single app mode.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Paycom being a single solution that covers everything from the Candidate Search to the Employee leaving, Paycom helps solve many issues. One thing that has really helped us is that Paycom is an easy and quick way for students to manage their working hours. Allowing the students, and full time staff, the ability to clock in and out from mobile devices as well as a computer really makes sure that we have accurate time management.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

As an employee user. It tracks my clock in and out and lunch times perfectly. I love that my PTO is listed I can see when I used them and how much time I have left. The same for my sick time. I also love that my payroll documents are there and I can update things as needed.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

I wish I had access to adjust my times because sometimes I forget to clock in or out and I don't know if that is a feature or if my HR department has it restricted.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our old payroll process left a lot open to counting my time to see if I made my hours or how many days, I used or had left. this takes the guess work out.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

I use Paycom to clock in and out, request PTO, and view my paychecks and hours. I like that it's user friendly, and I am quickly able to access the time clock to clock in and out. I enjoy that it breaks down my checks and organizes them into categories, allowing me to see where all of my money is going. I also like that it adds percentages of increases or decreases to each category on my check.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

I don't love that you have to wait 1 minute between each punch in. I often accidentally click the wrong button (ex. Out Lunch instead of Out Day), and then I have to wait to fix it.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paycom makes it easy for me to clock in and out, request PTO, and view my paychecks and hours. It organizes my checks into categories and shows percentage changes, helping me manage my time and finances effectively.

I like Paycom's unified database and employee self-service model, which allows employees to update their own information. These updates reflect instantly across payroll, HR, and time tracking, which eliminates manual data re-entry and shortens payroll cycles by days. It gives my team peace of mind with automated tax compliance and accuracy guarantees. The unified database also ensures that once employees update their information, it is instantly accurate for payroll, HR, and benefits.

Paycom works well overall, but custom reporting is less intuitive than it could be, forcing extra Excel work. The mobile app lacks some admin features found in the desktop implementation. The tool took longer than expected to implement. Notification controls are limited, and integrating with niche scheduling tools required custom API work.

I'm really frustrated with Paycom because it creates more problems than it solves. The system is buggy and things break randomly, so I'm always dealing with unexpected issues when staff come to me with problems. For instance, changes in employee profiles aren't automatically updated as you'd expect, leading to tons of extra work like manual corrections and internal audits. There's no test environment either, and it feels like features that could be really helpful are added too late. Plus, their support isn't great. I feel like we're paying a lot just to be part of their user experience team. It also doesn't integrate with any other tools, which is another big downside. Setting it up was a nightmare, especially since Paycom doesn't offer any on-site support to help you understand the system. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Honestly, Paycom creates problems for me. It leads to random issues that I only discover when they occur, causing additional work like audits and communication with vendors. I spend a lot of time fixing issues and addressing staff concerns due to system inaccuracies.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

Paycom has made timeclock and payroll processing more straightforward for us, and given our employees easier access to related documentation.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

Nearly everything else about the system is patently awful. We are a lean team and are in this tool every day, and we still cannot get it to work for our needs, which Paycom has been unresponsive to when we express that concern, to the point we are likely reverting to the tools we used before the implementation. In fact, during sales and implementation, we were told things that the system could do that it absolutely cannot do, and feel like we were sold vaporware.

This tool is at least 20 years behind the competition in this space, and is not terribly concerned with closing that gap. The ATS in particular is antiquated and possesses absolutely none of the features of a modern ATS. The UI is unintuitive and often takes 10 steps to do what can be done in two - I know because the three other tools I've used in the last five years can do it in two (or fewer).

The implementation was also concerning. I asked why we weren't running a parallel payroll with our old system before implementation and was told "that's not how we do it". Fortunately, we ran an off-cycle payroll before our main one to find the *dozens* of problems that would have surfaced in the main payroll. And when we flagged these, there was a total lack of urgency on Paycom's part. They wanted us to run the payroll and fix the problems after, but then we would not have been certain they were fixed before running our main payroll.

Support is responsive, but does not take the time to understand the core question before answering reflexively. And when they respond, you get the company line, not the solution to your problem.

Implementing Paycom has caused far more problems than it has solved, because it has - thus far - *solved* none, and created many.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

What I like best about PayCom is that it keeps everything in one place and is very easy to use. I use it for. Time keeping. Employee information training. Employee documents and so much more. The layout is simple and organized. It does not take long to find what I need. Requesting time off and viewing my pay stubs without needing extra help. It is a very convenient thing to have.

Maybe at times its slow loading, perhaps this is during busy times.

Paycom solves the problem of having employee information, payroll, time off schedules, and documents spread across different systems. Having everything in one place saves time, reduces mistakes, and makes it easy for me to quickly find information.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

I use Paycom for checking my schedule and payroll, and it's really useful for communicating with management and coworkers. It gives everyone a heads up about what's happening, so we're not left wondering about the next move. I find it very easy to use and understand, making communication with everyone smooth. I like how simple it is; you really only need to explain it once, and within a few taps, you know what to do. I also appreciate the ability to make company announcements, like for birthdays, which allows for widespread communication with anyone.

The looks aspect of it could be a little better, but everything else worked fine. Very little help needed once I knew why tabs actually located

I love that I can see the breakdown of my check for my hours and my mileage and that they give me plenty of time to approve it. I also love that I can see my year to date on here and other documents on here. It has been useful doing my taxes. I really love that this is all in one place and so simple to use. I hope my company keeps Paycom for payroll!

I kinda already answered this question on the last page. By it giving me my paycheck info early,it helps me budget early and it also helps me with my taxes. Paycom solves several core challenges that many organizations face with HR and payroll management.
The biggest problem it addresses is fragmentation — most companies rely on multiple disconnected systems to handle payroll, time tracking, benefits, onboarding, and compliance. This leads to duplicate data entry, errors, and inefficiencies. Paycom eliminates that by consolidating everything into a single database, meaning data entered in one area automatically flows through the entire system without manual re-entry.
Payroll accuracy is another major pain point Paycom tackles. Through its Beti tool, payroll is automatically built each pay period and employees are guided to review and correct any errors before submission — putting accountability in the right hands and dramatically reducing costly mistakes like voids and reversals.
Compliance complexity is also a significant burden Paycom helps lift. Managing tax filings, ACA requirements, COBRA, EEOC reporting, and labor law adherence across multiple jurisdictions is time-consuming and risky. Paycom automates much of this, reducing the chance of costly compliance errors.
For HR teams specifically, the benefit is time savings and focus. Rather than being bogged down by administrative tasks, HR professionals can rely on employee self-service tools that allow staff to manage their own data, benefits enrollment, and time-off requests — freeing HR to focus on strategy and people.

I really like how Paycom lets me log in as an employee and as a supervisor through separate accounts. I also like that I can find all of my company’s resources in Paycom whenever I have a question. If there’s something I need answered that I can’t find there, it lets me use the directory to locate the right HR person.

The most disappointing part of Paycom for me is the lack of education and familiarity I personally have with the program itself. There are so many features and tools available to utilize, but I feel like the company I work for only chooses to use certain aspects of Paycom, which makes it harder for me to fully understand and take advantage of everything it offers.

Paycom helps me whenever I need to check what my time-off balances are. As a supervisor, it also helps me see who has overtime and who doesn’t, which makes it easier to schedule the shifts I need.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

As an employee user, it's easy to access everything I need and update everything. My handbook's accessible, and I can easily access tax info, training info, and any modules they need to me to use, including the approve a check.

The app is smooth, and from an administrative side, I'm able to refer my team members to anywhere they need to access, or direct them where they need to go. Would definitely recommend.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

It's HR access based, so they limit what you can change sometimes, but I understand this reasoning. That's the only downside. My manager whom I work under, doesn't like the 'approve a check' feature, because I think she was worried about people being weird about their hours for our other retail stores, but I think she likes it now due to clarity and feedback.

I haven't seen any problems yes, but they do fix small glitches that apparently others have.

I like the convenience of Paycom's mobile app. It’s incredibly user-friendly and allows me to access all my employment information on the go. Whether I need to check my latest pay stub, view my W-2, request a day off, or clock in/out, I can do it all quickly and easily from my phone. I love having everything at my fingertips, and it saves me so much time and hassle. I also appreciate that Paycom is a truly single application for the entire employee lifecycle. This feature is invaluable because we don't have to deal with multiple logins or integrations for recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and time and attendance. This integration has drastically improved data accuracy, saved us dozens of administrative hours each week, and provided our team a consolidated view of employee information. Integrating Paycom with our Applicant Tracking System has revolutionized our hiring process by speeding up time-to-hire and making the transition from candidate to employee seamless. The initial setup was so easy that even a new comer could do it.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

One area where I think Paycom could improve is its reporting tools. While the system is robust, generating custom reports can feel clunky and slow. The interface for building reports isn't as user-friendly as I'd like, and sometimes it's difficult to extract the exact data I need. It would be valuable to see more intuitive reporting features and faster processing times for complex data analysis.

Paycom offers a wide range of features, depending on which products you need to use. At our company, we transitioned to this system for scheduling, applicant tracking, and also for invoicing and payroll.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

Paycom is a cookie-cutter platform, and it can be difficult to tailor for certain companies that need more advanced settings and reporting. This can be challenging and may require a workaround, which takes extra time out of someone’s daily workday just to generate a report that should only take seconds. The metrics can also be skewed at times, and it can take a while for your account rep to respond or fully resolve the issue. I use this system daily, and the integration is still not up to standard. I wouldn't say it's easy to use, since you have to navigate multiple screens to find what you need. Also, the implementation was very quick, so they can start billing. Overall, i wouldnt suggest this system

Our company was looking for a consolidated system to support onboarding, training, applicant tracking, scheduling, time cards, and billing and invoicing. We transitioned to this system, but it’s still a nightmare to use.

Paycom solves the problem of having to rely on multiple systems or HR personnel for everyday work-related tasks. By bringing payroll, time tracking, benefits, and personal information into one platform, it makes everything much more organized and accessible. This saves me time and reduces the need to go back and forth with HR for simple requests like accessing pay stubs or updating personal details.

It also helps improve accuracy and transparency, since I can review my own information, time entries, and pay details directly. Overall, it makes managing my work information more efficient, convenient, and less stressful.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

I like that it encompasses so much! I can run background checks, list jobs, have employee management, do payroll, etc, etc. In past jobs I have had almost a dozen different sites I needed to log into depending on what task I was completing.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

I would recommend letting users have two tabs open at the same time. I sometimes have one tab open with payroll, one with employee management and one with recruiting all at the same time. I often get logged out or booted out of place when this happens. It would be really helpful to be able to have several sessions open at once.

Paycom made onboarding at this job extremely easy. I am being able to be cross trained efficiently. When learning a new skill, I only have to learn a new section of Paycom, not an entire new system.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

As a user, I like having visibility to everything from my PTO to my check stubs, etc.  As an administrative user, this program has saved me countless hours because everything is in one system and we are no longer moving data around everywhere.  The other thing that I call out every time a colleague asks me about Paycom is the support.  Our support team is top notch!  They make sure we know how to optimize the platform and anytime we have an issue, they are just a phone call away.  They are super friendly and super helpful!

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

The billing.  A lot of the prices we get quoted are based on number of checks or number of payrolls and while that makes sense for some services and modules, we simply cannot justify it for other services and modules.  It would be nice to have other options for some of that stuff and we would utilize more of your services.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our data is much more valid because it is not being moved all of the place.  If you change one thing, it updates everything else.  We also love the self-onboarding.  It has freed up that first day to spend time with the employee on more important things than paperwork.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

I’ve used a lot of different HR portals at past jobs, and most of them felt like they were designed in the 90s. Switching to Paycom has been a total game-changer for me as an employee. It’s the first time I actually feel like I’m in control of my own info instead of having to email HR for every little thing.

Everything is Just… Easy (Great UI!)

The Paycom mobile app is super slick. I can clock in, request PTO, and check my benefits in about thirty seconds. The UI is incredibly intuitive—everything is exactly where you’d expect it to be. I didn't even need a manual to figure it out; it’s as easy to use as any social media app on my phone.

I Love the 'What-If' Scenarios

My favorite feature by far is being able to run pay scenarios. Before I decide to put more into my 401(k) or change my tax withholdings, I can actually see exactly how it will affect my take-home pay. It takes the guesswork out of my finances because I can 'preview' my check before the changes are even live. It’s like having a crystal ball for my bank account!

Direct Access to My Own Data

The self-service reporting is also a huge plus. If I need a copy of a past W-2 or want to see a summary of my hours for the month, I can just pull it myself in the app. I don't have to wait three days for a response from the front office. Between that and the Beti® payroll setup, I get to review and approve my own check before it’s even sent, so I know it’s right every single Friday.

Honestly, if you're an employee and your company uses Paycom, consider yourself lucky. It just makes life easier.

The app has all of the information you could possibly need about your paychecks and anything to do with them, and more! And the best part is that its all organized. You're not gunna have a bunch of crap you dont wanna see piled up in one category like they didnt know where else to put it

Easy to navigate the site so I can find the information I need quickly.  As an older employee, some of us aren't as tech savvy as the younger people and it sucks to have to ask how to do something that should be easy.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

It's not necessarily Paycom but several of us can't punch in until we are all the way into the building and have reached our desk or workspace-and even then sometimes it's an issue.  I think that has more to do with internet or possibly the coverage area of the building site?  You can be in the building and try to punch in and it'll say something about not recognizing this device even tho it's the same phones we use every time.

It's nice to see the amount of my check a few days early and to see where deposits are going each time.  Example:  I have my basic deposit and also send money to a different account for savings in another bank.

What I Iike best about Paycom is how streamlined the entire process of payroll is. From the timecard clock-in and outs to payroll processing and benefits management, it is a complete package in one. I also appreciate the excellent customer service.

The one downside I can think of is that finding the right report is sometimes difficult. Usually we have to create new ones because we are unsure of the ones that are available. When creating new reports we also don't really know all of the sections to pick from and what areas they are pulling from in Paycom. It would be helpful to have a training on the reporting capabilities.

I feel that it has solved human error on the timesheets, benefits, deductions and in the payroll processing. We used to do all this by hand. A lot of our old processes are now automated which frees up our working time to do other things.

I’ve been using Paycom for payroll and overall it’s been a solid experience. One feature that really stands out is Beti (Better Employee Transaction Interface). It puts payroll in the hands of employees, allowing them to review and approve their own paychecks before payroll is finalized. That added layer of transparency helps reduce errors and gives me more confidence that everything is accurate each pay period.

The app itself is fairly user friendly, with easy access to pay stubs, tax documents, and time-off requests. I also like that everything is centralized, so I don’t have to switch between multiple systems.

That said, there are occasional glitches and the interface can feel a bit clunky at times, especially when navigating between different sections. Some processes could be more streamlined.

Overall, Paycom does a great job simplifying payroll management, and Beti is a standout feature that really improves accuracy and accountability.

Your timecard is YOURS to manage & fix. No relying on your boss to make that time edit. You make the edits, you track your timecard accuracy, you submit your hours. I've also been a manager who had to make all those time edits. So, Bosses no more being worried that you screwed up an edit and shorted someone hours they worked. It's an employee's job to submit their hours correctly, why not let them! All time edits must be approved if submitted by the employee, but it's as simple as Approved edit or not approved.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

I can't say there is really anything I don't like as a user, it's a simple system to use with a lot of complex functions/features I have never seen before and find quite useful. If you do make a mistake on your timecard like forgetting to clock back in from lunch, it will give quite a few notifications and can be annoying. I'm not sure that that's a "bad" thing though.

It's MY timecard. I always worry about my boss forgetting to edit or screwing up my paycheck. I don't have that worry anymore, if my paycheck is wrong, I have no one to blame but myself for not doing my timecard correctly. The redundancy of punching in and out- it is tedious to "add punch pair." I should be able to "Add punch pair" and enter my time in, time for lunch and time out in ONE step. As it is.. you click on "add punch pair" and you have to enter time in and out and THEN "add punch pair" and do it again with the drop down menu for lunch. If I am back dating my time card this is incredibly TEDIOUS and wasteful as I have to keep clicking on the date I am going  back to for time in, time out, and lunch! Everyone complains about it but nothing has changed.

The AI helper is great because I can ask it anything, and it automatically takes me to where I need to be, which really helps with my questions. When I'm clocking in, the mobile app shows it as the first thing, which makes getting into work very easy. I also appreciate the integrated pay change feature, which shows me the differences in where my pay is and how it's different, including taxes or deductions. The app offers me to use Paycom as a manager on my phone, so if I am not by my computer, I can still reach out to employees and make sure questions are answered. Additionally, the experience with Paycom has been great because we have a designated team for implementation and then get transferred to a full-time team. The Paycom employees are stellar, and we always receive help in a timely manner to complete tasks.

Title: One of the Most Overengineered and Costly Payroll Platforms We’ve Used

Paycom turned what should be a straightforward payroll process into a time-consuming, expensive, and frustrating experience. The platform is unnecessarily complex, unintuitive, and clearly built around Paycom’s internal structure rather than customer efficiency.

Instead of saving time or reducing cost, Paycom significantly increased both. Routine payroll tasks required excessive steps, constant oversight, and avoidable administrative effort. What was positioned as a modern, all-in-one solution functioned more like a system that demands full-time attention just to keep payroll running correctly.

Pricing was quoted based on a weekly payroll assumption, yet the agreement itself does not clearly restrict payroll frequency. Despite this, any attempt to reduce cost or simplify operations exposed how rigid and inefficient the system truly is. The effort required to make basic operational adjustments was disproportionate and unreasonable.

The contrast became obvious immediately after switching to another payroll provider with comparable features. Payroll that previously took unnecessary time, effort, and explanation became simple, fast, and intuitive — highlighting just how overcomplicated Paycom is by design.

Paycom may be tolerable for very large organizations with dedicated payroll teams and high tolerance for complexity. For companies seeking clarity, efficiency, and cost control, this platform delivered the opposite and proved to be a costly mistake.

The only thing I dislike about Paycom is that I cannot delete a previous years state tax set up -- I moved from one state to another and I still see the previous state in my tax section.

The switch from isolved to Paycom was due to its strong compliance automation and easier reporting during audits. Plus, the initial setup was very easy.

The website is pretty easily navigable. It has many useful functions for tracking my time, pay and goals. The site makes it easy to request changes to time cards, personal information, and PTO, while also making it simple to see available PTO and giving a calculator for future expected PTO.

Some functions could be implemented better or be made easier to understand. The goals system is a great example. The function is useful but the math around the percentage each goal accounts for never seems to add up properly.

Paycom is easy to navigate for Admins and Employees.  I love that they are constantly updating the system features and give detailed tutorials.  Payroll is easy to run and timekeeping is simple.  Employees love that they have access to all of their information and freedom to change without having to fill out a bunch of forms to turn in.

To be honest there really isn't anything I dislike about Paycom.  I would make one slight change with the Push Reporting feature.  I wish there was a way to automatically send a link directly to the report and not have to log into the Client Inbox to review it.  That's it.  But if I know Paycom....that will probably be available soon!

Paycom is making it easier to communicate to all of our employees and our Drivers.  Because they are always on the road and not in the office much.  I can send New Tickers and announcements through Paycom and they can receive the notifications immediately.
