They cover the basics of what you need for successful social media management. I liked the scheduling feature (when it worked) as posts were published as planned and you don't need to check on every single platform. The preview was also really helpful to see how the post will end up looking on those platforms.
Their analytics tool offers helpful insights and the inbox makes it easy to manage incoming messages and comments from various platforms.
Their CSM was really helpful and tried his best to help us at all time.
We used Hootsuite on a daily basis (we're not a customer anymore as of December 2024). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We found Hootsuite to not be really intuitive. We had to contact CSM multiple times to figure out easy ways of using the tool. All in all it's not really user friendly nor intuitive. it would be great to have posts visisble in the monthly calendar preview and not just the number of posts. It would also be amazing if you could just drag and drop postings within the calendar and color-code campaigns to make it easier for big teams to collaborate.
Their scheduling didn't always work and it can be annoying to tag other accounts since you need the precice name ot those from Twitter and IG (so we had to go to the platform and copy paste their names). As for people tagging on LinkedIn, this is not available. So again we had to go to the platform itself to do that. We got a social media tool so we don't have to check every platform on a daily basis, but especially for LinkedIn, this was not possible. I know that the platforms itself can also be very restrictive, so not all blame falls onto Hootsuite :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most about Hootsuite is its user-friendly interface, reliable customer support, seamless integration with other business apps and the convenience of being able to post and engage with followers all in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I dislike about Hootsuite is that it doesn’t allow me to schedule link in bio activity in advance. This creates a challenge as I have to manually update my separate link in bio page after the post has been published. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love Hootsuite as it allows to centralize management of corporate social media channels and build stronger and faster engagement with customers. Call Center agents see all comments under our posts and can respond immediately. Moreover, we are very happy with Employyes advicacy program, where our staff are able to posts on their social media channels content created and approved by the Bank. It boosts our followership, and at the same time positioning our employyes as experts on the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would love to see more AI integrations in content writting. When we create a post to be able to use AI to porpose content on the specific topic for us and media houses. Moreover, addition of AI to Employee advocacy program would be great, so we could personalize the experience even more and buold more trust in AI capabilities. I spend multiple hours a day on Hootsuite and it's a time saver for managing multiple brands across many platforms. The scheduling feature is especially helpful in letting me plan posts in the future. The analytics tool gives us solid insight into what's working and what's not so we can change our strategy. Our customer support representative has been fantastic - always responsive and proactive about helping us out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hootsuite has some great features, but there are a few areas where it could improve. The interface is not as intuitive as it could be. Things like color-coding posts and better tags with filtering would make organizing posts and campaigns a lot easier. The approval process could also use a refresh, to bulk approve the same post on multiple platforms instead of breaking them into separate posts. Additionally, adding sentiment tracking would make the social inbox even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hootsuite is a powerful tool designed to make social media management simple and efficient. With its user-friendly interface and a wide range of functionalities, it’s perfect for professionals looking to streamline their workflows. I use it daily to manage tasks like scheduling posts, analyzing performance, and overseeing multiple accounts, and it never disappoints. Regular updates keep the platform ahead of trends, while their excellent customer support ensures you’re never stuck if you need help. Hootsuite truly has everything you need for seamless social media management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Hootsuite is an incredibly useful tool for daily social media management, there’s always room for improvement. The look and feel of the analytics section could be more modern and user-friendly, making it easier to navigate and extract insights. The Amplify feature, though valuable, would benefit from improved user management functionalities to simplify administration. Additionally, the AI implementation, while promising, still has room to grow in delivering more seamless and intuitive automation. Enhancing these aspects would take Hootsuite’s efficiency and user experience to the next level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Hootsuite is how seamlessly it pulls and presents data. I can easily compare our social media performance month-over-month or even on a year-to-date basis, which gives us quick insights into our progress. The competitor analysis feature is also a huge plus. Scheduling posts is straightforward and efficient, and with TikTok now included, it’s even easier to plan and organize our content across all platforms in one place. Our rep is always checking in on us/informing us on knew features, which has been great. I also enjoy the webinars. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I find challenging with Hootsuite is accessing the information I need through social listening. Currently, I'm unable to pull data from Meta or TikTok, though I’m meeting with my rep to hopefully resolve it soon. I also wish there were options to schedule Facebook Stories and longer videos directly through Hootsuite. Right now, I still have to use Meta to schedule these, which disrupts the all-in-one convenience I look for in a social media tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hootsuite keeps me organized. I have far too many accounts that I use daily that i need help keeping organinzed. Hootsuites easy to link all my social media accounts and has a stream that I can track all that has posted. I can reach out to the team with any questions I have and they respond so fast even being in a different timezone. Hootsuite definitely has made my job so much easier. One thing that is a downfall is the ability to post Facebook Stories. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've been using Hootsuite for several years now, and I recommend it to anyone managing several social media accounts. It makes scheduling across platforms quick and easy while also providing ideas, celebration reminders, and more. The software lets you know when the most effective time of day to post will be to reach your intended audience. One newer feature that I've come to rely on is the Owly AI. This is especially helpful for monthly or yearly worldwide celebrations. After a few years, my creativity to create unique posts for each holiday has run dry, and Owly helps keep things fresh while still maintaining our brand voice. Another feature I use regularly is the hashtag generator. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like the constant pop-up messages that seem to invade my screen every time I'm trying to schedule something in Hootsuite or just log in. I like being in the know about upcoming webinars and new features, but I prefer to only get thought updates through the Hootsuite newsletter. I don't need or want to be bombarded with it when I open the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hootsuite makes social media management a breeze. I love the unified inbox for all of our company accounts, and the ability to post and schedule across multiple platforms all at once. Their analytics tool is easy to set up, and exporting reports is very helpful. I use hootsuite on a daily basis to ensure that our company's message is getting out to our customers and followers. I wish Hootsuite had full API access to every social media platform, but no one has that because the social media companies won't give it to them. Tagging people and collaborators would be a great feature to implement in the future. I also wish there was an integration for Threads and BlueSky. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Out of the big players for social media management tools, I chose Hootsuite because it had all the features I needed and was cheaper for a larger team. I am the institutional social media manager at a university, and many smaller accounts and managers exist across campus. I can add all the campus accounts and managers to the institutional Hootsuite account, which is much cheaper than everyone paying for their own tool. I also find it helpful to have access to the other campus accounts through Hootsuite, so I can pull holistic university reports and intervene during a crisis. I enjoy the custom permissions I can give each user, allowing me to have a layered team structure. We have the Insights add-on, and that makes social media listening so much easier. Student interns have been able to pick up the platform easily, and the training/certification that Hootsuite offers is a nice bonus. I appreciate that Hootsuite is constantly working to improve its platform by adding new features and integrations. I've used a few different tools during my time as a social media manager, and Hootsuite has been a great fit for our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When I export analytics reports, the column order shuffles. I wish it would stay consistent. Also, I wish the dashboard was more customizable. Since I have a bunch of campus accounts connected to our Hootsuite but only actively oversee the institutional university accounts, I would like to be able to select which accounts I want to be highlighted on the dashboard.
