I like the flexiblity of being able to schedule social media posts in advance, knowing I can always go back and edit/tweak content if needed. I also like the calendar view which makes it easy for me to see my social media strategy holistically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not being able to make edits in closer time-windows. This includes cancelling a post. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hootsuite's analytics and reporting tools are invaluable for tracking social media performance. The platform provides detailed insights on engagement, audience growth, and post-performance, allowing me to create comprehensive weekly and monthly reports for management. Customizable reports help highlight key trends, measure campaign success, and make data-driven decisions to improve strategy. The ability to track competitor performance and industry benchmarks also adds value to strategic planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hootsuite is a great tool, but there are areas for improvement. The interface can sometimes feel cluttered, making navigation a bit overwhelming. Not really a downside, but I hope they can add a whole other feature where we can connect a site to see insights regarding it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love using the AI assistant and I love how easy it is to post across multiple platforms. Hootsuite is constantly improving and over the last three years we've used this software it's moved from great to downright AWESOME. We are posting via Hootsuite most weekdays and the analytics are helpful for marketing amateurs like myself to improve our posting engagement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that Hootsuite ties into Canva, but I wish the integration also allowed me to access my archive of existing content as sometimes I'm reusing existing content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hootsuite is a powerful all-in-one social media management tool that allows users to schedule posts, track analytics, and engage with audiences across multiple platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. One of its biggest strengths is its user-friendly scheduling and automation, which saves time by allowing bulk post uploads and auto-scheduling at optimal times. The analytics and reporting features provide valuable insights into engagement and content performance, while team collaboration tools make it easy for businesses and agencies to coordinate their social media strategy. Additionally, Hootsuite integrates with various third-party apps like Canva and Google Drive, enhancing workflow efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The pricing can be steep, especially for small businesses or solo users, and the free plan is quite limited in terms of features and scheduling capacity. The interface, while feature-rich, can feel overwhelming for beginners, requiring some time to learn. Occasionally, the platform experiences slow loading times and glitches, particularly when managing multiple accounts. Another downside is that Instagram and TikTok scheduling sometimes require manual confirmation, reducing full automation capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hootsuite offers many of the tools and functionalities that I need to manage social media for a post-secondary institution. I think what I love most though, is how engaged my customer success team has always been. If the platform isn't working how I need to it to work, they listen to my feedback, give me opportunities to provide my feedback directly to product team, they advocate for what I need to be added to the platform. Over the years I've watched Hootsutie grow and change and I can see many of my comments reflected in those changes. Having a tool that works for, and is easy for my team to use, is great, having a tool that works for me and evolves with me, thanks to the receptive team is a pretty cool thing. I'm an avid Content Library use and while the content Library is great, I can now see opportuities for an evolution to make it more user friendly.
I would like to see some more robust team management fuctionality that helps us ensure we don't miss a response window if an assigned team member doesn't action the content in time.
I'd be happy as a clam if Instagram's API would allow alt text from Hootsuite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My company, Addition Recovery Care, just signed a 2-year contract with Hootsuite beginning December 1st. We are so excited to start using the platform to streamline what we do. We currently use Brandwatch and have had difficulties with its usability and inaccurate analytics. During our sales pitch meetings with Alexa Rotman-Kalgal, she walked us through the platform, and we were shocked at how simple it was to post on all platforms at once. We quickly realized what a time-saver Hootsuite would be for us. We were also excited to see the analytics reports that were so easy to read and customize to send to our bosses. Due to our budget, we could not afford the Talkwalker Listening feature, which was very intriguing, but I don't anticipate having any issues with any of Hootsuite's features! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really like the calendar view to plan and create posts. It's easy to upload image and video and post to our two platforms, X and Linkedin. It's a great tool to use for our small team of two to collaborate and publish posts in tandem. It also helps us see the variety and frequency of our posting. I also like the suggested times to post. I look forward to using the analytics tools as we continue to use the tool and track our performance across platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am not always able to tag companies and individuals in Linkedin posts that I'm connected to, and often times the links that I put in posts are not shortened even when I use owly, so the character count is still limited while I'm writing posts in Hootsuite. I've been using Hootsuite daily to manage our social media posts across LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Amplify, and it has truly streamlined our entire process. Hootsuite’s platform is highly intuitive, allowing me to quickly schedule and manage posts across multiple platforms with ease. The tool is also incredibly reliable—I know our posts will go out as planned, every time.
One of the biggest benefits has been the analytics. They are easy to pull, insightful, and exportable, which makes reporting to our team fast and straightforward. Additionally, our Hootsuite account representative has been fantastic—responsive, supportive, and genuinely invested in our success. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The LinkedIn functionality could use some upgrades, particularly around setting custom thumbnails for videos. However, I recognize this limitation is likely due to LinkedIn’s API restrictions rather than Hootsuite itself.
Overall, Hootsuite has been a game-changer for us, allowing us to effectively manage and optimize our social media presence. Highly recommend! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We love that our whole team has access to view our Hootsuite calendar and to add posts, and that customizable user permissions prevent posts from going live without final approval from a manager. The free AI tool is super helpful when we're not feeling very creative. Analytics are great and you can automate reports containing only the metrics you're interested in to be sent to your inbox. Our account manager is also very helpful and proactive! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have our account set up where two of us need to approve any posts submitted by other users. If we don't approve a post in time, it just expires with no notification. It would be helpful to have an email reminder sent if a post is not approved (or denied) within 30 minutes of when it's set to post. We wish that there was a "Revert to Original" option in the photo editor, and that we could add more than 10 photos in a post/carousel. The photo preview for Instagram is a little difficult. Hootsuite is a very user-friendly platform that I've been using for nearly a decade. It has changed quite a bit over the years but has remained consistent at doing the best it can with what API access social platforms provide. The ability to schedule content, plan content out, and view analytics and build reports in a centralized location is immensely valuable and useful for social media teams. Whether social media is 10% of your job or 100% of your job, Hootsuite is a great tool to help you save time and not lose your mind while managing your brand's social presence. As with any third-party product, Hootsuite is at the mercy of Meta, "X" or other platforms willing to share their API. Sometimes things break, and that can get annoying. But the Hootsuite team is helpful and responsive when those situations happen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
