Hootsuite makes scheduling social posts simple. Being a marketing team of one, it saves me loads of time being able to schedule months in advance. I recently began running ads though the platform as well, and I wish I would've dove into this feature earlier. Ad managers like Meta and LinkedIn are overly complicated in my opinion, and Hootsuite's ad tool simplifies it down making it quicker and easier to implement. I do wish Hootsuite would integrate with more social features like being able to post LinkedIn polls, document posts, and other items like that. It would also be convenient if we could add the music and location tagging in the post scheduler. The listening tool as well needs some work. I feel as though tons of un-relevent results come through when I am searching for my keywords. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I mostly use Hootsuite for scheduling, which i find very convenient. I know a few of my team members really like the streams, but I personally like being able to have the calendar view across all or osme accounts. I definitely use hootsuite daily and find it easy to use the main features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think it could be a little more user friendly in learning to take advantage of everything hootsuite has to offer. The hootsuite academy is also kind of boring and it would be nice if it were more interactive to learn instead of just reading. Additionally, I've been looking at lately.ai or other softwares for some of my other clients to see about how i can integrate AI scheduling and content creation into my calendars and would love to see more of that in hootsuite. It saves a lot of time. Instead of jumping between different apps, you can plan and organize everything in one place. It’s really helpful for keeping things consistent and staying on top of your posts.
The insights and tracking are also a big plus. It gives you a clear picture of how things are performing so you can adjust as needed. Having everything in one spot makes it easier to see what’s working and what’s not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One downside is the cost. The free version is okay for basic needs, but if you want better features, the price can add up quickly.
Another issue is usability on mobile. While the desktop version works well, the mobile experience could be smoother. It’s not always as intuitive as you’d expect, which can be frustrating if you need to manage things on the go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how Hootesuite makes it easy to schedule and post on all my channels from one place. I've also used it at times when I was managing more than one company's socials, and it was so helpful to not have to sign into a different account every time. It's very easy to use. I use it every day to monitor our incoming messages and comments. I also really like the analytics feature, which sends me a monthly report so I don't have to go to each individual platform to pull reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the things I don't like is that it's not always up-to-date on platform dimensions and requirements. It will say that a codec isn't accepted by a platform, but if I go to that platform directly, I can post the video with the same codec. It's not always up-to-speed. We have been using Hootsuite for nearly 10 years and we schedule all of our daily social media posts each week.
Over time, we have seen Hootsuite dedicated to improving its services each year. I love that I can schedule my social shares, answer questions, and make comments all in one platform.
Hootsuite is very easy to implement with a simple setup and UX that is intuitive and geared to small business owners with many tasks.
It was super easy to integrate our existing social media channels into Hoosuite's platform. With just a few clicks we were ready to create and schedule social shares.
We've only had to reach out to Hootsuite customer service twice in all these years and they were quick to help us find a solution and get the most out of their product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hootsuite is a great product at an affordable price point. However, I wish there were a way to integrate Pinterest and TikTok in a seamless manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
First, I appreciate that Hootsuite offers a discount for non-profits. My next favorite quality is that It is very user-friendly product to use. I am able to schedule across multiple social media apps. Hootsuite offers many educational opportunities- real ones- not just ones to sell their app that you do not really learn new things. I am also able to generate reports and compare social media numbers over time. I can see what is working and what isn't - what types of social media to lean into at any given time. It is easy to get support and speak to an employee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am not sure if this is something that Hootsuite can fix or if it is an Instagram issues but I cannot schedule alt text for Instagram. I want our content to be accessible and I would really appreciate being able to schedule alt text for Insta just like I can for Facebook, LinkedIn etc. I am also hoping the Hootsuite will add Bluesky to available apps. As the only person responsible for ALL communications at our agency (including social media), Hootsuite is like having a staff person by my side to make posting easier and elevated. The AI feature is used for a majority of my posts. And, I use Hootsuite to ensure I can schedule posts out in advance, saving me time for other projects. The year end activity reports are perfect for board meetings and allow me to manage metrics in one place versus each platform. The duplicate feature, even when I modify a small portion, is a HUGE timesaver also as I do reoccuring posts to promote events and programming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The inability on Twitter to ensure I have tagged the right agency is annoying. Before it would hyper link when I hit the right tag. LinkedIn and Facebook works and I use it all the time to tag our partners which expands our reach. But for Twitter, I have to look up the handle specifically to ensure it's the correct one. I like the simplicity and ease of use. It has great scheduling tools as well as reporting which is very helpful. It's very easy to integrate into your daily operations and you can export almost anything from the platform to easily report and share with team members. I have used Hootsuite for years for my company and have never had any issues. If you have questions, their customer service reps are eager to help and get you answers! Implementation is quick and seamless in my opinion. I use Hootsuite everyday for my job! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not being able to do add-ons with current plan. For example, my company wanted to add social listening to our professional plan, but in order to do so you have to upgrade to an enterprise plan which is extremely expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I love about Hootsuite is how easy it is to use—even if you're just starting out. The interface is super intuitive, and scheduling posts across different platforms is a breeze. Plus, the bulk scheduling feature saves so much time—you can plan everything weeks or even months ahead! One of the things I really appreciate about Hootsuite is how easy it is to set up and integrate with different social media platforms. It connects seamlessly, so you can manage everything in one place without any hassle. Even if you're new to it, getting started is super straightforward! I find myself using Hootsuite almost daily—it’s just become a go-to for me when it comes to managing social media, and it really makes the whole process feel way less stressful. One thing that can be frustrating with Hootsuite is that the pricing adds up quickly, especially if you need more advanced features or multiple team members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hootsuite is an easy-to-use and highly visual tool, which makes managing social media content straightforward. I particularly appreciate the scheduling optimisations that help increase post visibility by selecting the best times to publish. Another major advantage is the ability to manage multiple accounts across different platforms from a single interface, which is a real asset for my work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One major drawback is the integration of YouTube videos, especially the preview feature, which does not work properly. Given the growing importance of video content in social media strategies, this limitation is a significant inconvenience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
