The API is well documented, easy to develop on, and easy to use. Roles and Security are simple to understand and implement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The reporting tools are complex and difficult to learn Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ceridian Dayforce is our Human Resources backbone. We have implemented it at each of our business units, and it connects us as one team instead of nine separate departments. We use it for the core functions: HR, Payroll, WFM, Benefits, Time & Attendance. We also use it for labor tracking, GL, reporting, recruiting, learning, performance, compensation, and engagement surveys. We are also in the process of rolling out use of Ceridian's succession planning and position management modules.
I like that it is an easy-to-use, one-source solution for several different areas. It reduces the need for "bolt-on" systems, and functions like a Swiss Army knife. Custom Service has become stronger and more proactive in recent years. And it is reliable ... we rarely have instances of the system being down (other than during scheduled maintenance windows).
Pros:
-Payroll
-Consistency-Stability-Reliability
-HR System of Record
-Customer Service
-Variability (more than one way to accomplish something)
-Reduced reliance on paper
-Indirect cost savings through increased productivity and efficiency in HR and Payroll
-Saved workspace by uploading files to Document Management, which allowed us to get rid of filing cabinets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
-Attendance Management (module needs updating)
-Mobile Experience (has come a long way, still has some gaps)
-Recruiting/ATS (has come a long way, still has some gaps)
-Tax Service (is not nearly as strong as their core customer service) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ceridian Dayforce is an incredibly powerful HRIS that can compete with, and in many cases outperform, competing platforms. There are integrations available for many commonly used applications and partners (e.g. retirement plan vendors, insurance carriers, background screening partners), and the integrations work very well once configured properly. Access to the employee portal is fairly straightforward and user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Dayforce is not an out-of-the-box solution. The implementation process is long, hard, and sometimes very frustrating. Almost everything is a custom configuration. To successfully complete an implementation, you need both personnel and financial resources; this is expensive, time consuming and difficult. Customer support is available, but the team seems to be spread thin and wait times are sometimes weeks long. For employees to get the full value out of Dayforce, they really need to log in every day. the way you can connect this ATS to external job boards to post your jobs is amazing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
the current status and the comment should appear in a better way Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ceridian Dayforce is the best HR & Payroll platforms I have used. The large support community from both Ceridian Dayforce and more importantly the support you receive from fellow customers is very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Constant updates to the platform so much that it is very difficult to keep on top of everything, especially if you have other job duties outside of HR & Payroll. We used to have a dedicated CSR and have one on one personal web meetings so we can address issues we had that were not getting attention by Support and our CSR would keep us updated on changes that would effect us directly. As Ceridian Dayforce has grown this individual support has been discontinued in favor or a monthly webinar where Ceridian tells everyone as a whole what is going on with the platform, and there is very little feedback the customers can give in return. I find these much less useful than the previous Monthly Support Calls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
