What do you like best about Dayforce?

Most helpful about Dayforce was that I could review my worked hours and check if everything was correct. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

I disliked that I once got logged out and couldn't reset the password myself. I had to email the Manager to do this for me, which of course took some time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?

As I could see the entire schedule for one week and the co-workers I would work with, it was easy to swop a shift. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dayforce?

The recruiting module has helped optimize my time processing applicants as well as being able to run reports for our metrics! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

We are unable to limit the applications that a manager can view. We don’t want them to be able to see a “new” status applicant but we are unable to limit that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dayforce?

Everything is all in one place. Ceridian is also very forward thinking and coming up with new ideas to make our lives easier. They are also open to suggestions from their customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

Depending on what you are trying to accomplish you may need to use two internet browsers. Most work can be performed in chrome, but sometimes you may need to use internet explorer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?

FLSA compliance. Payroll is committed much earlier compared to our previous payroll processing company we used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dayforce?

I like the features, the system is a bit overwhelming because it offers so much. This system does offer a lot of reporting, workforce management, scheduling, performance reviews, recruiting, on boarding. We have been on the system since July of 2018, so we are still learning the system, but look forward to reaping the rewards of a streamlined process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

The support and the training are not very good. It would be nice to get faster responses from support of critical issues. The training is long and daunting to sit through. The reporting is very overwhelming and the training is not very helpful when trying to create custom reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Dayforce:

The system is robust. It's a good system. It will take time to understand all the functions. I believe once the learning curve is over the system can make "Work Life Better" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are still figuring out the system. I do like the ability to see an associates paycheck stub prior to posting the payroll. Some of the features we have are not completely setup yet. What do you like best about Dayforce?

Ceridian is easy for the end users. It is very intuitive and we have increased ourusage of self-service. I also like the sandbox that replicates our production environment. This makes testing and trouble-shooting easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

I think that Ceridian can do a little work on their reporting tool for report writers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Dayforce:

I think overall Dayforce is a good solution. I think they are on the right track with having one employee record. They are in a good place, but they are still developing. If you are patient and want to grow with them, this is a great solution. They are constantly asking for feedback on how they can develop the solution more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?

By implementing Ceridian Dayforce, we were able to elminate OT for our payroll processors and we were able to become more effecient. For example, we were able to reduce our new employee orientation from 1.5 days to 1 day. Most of this is due to the onboarding process that we implemented. We are in the process of implementing the compensation module and we have already determined that adding the module will help us to become more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dayforce?

Our previous HRIS had very little to no useful information that as HR professional we needed to report on job titles, job history, EEO statuses and more. Within the HR module of Dayforce, we are able to pull complete and full reports for our benefit vendors with just a few clicks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

With this new system, we have had to adjust our internal processes because there are more steps to enter a new employee into Dayforce. But in the end, it's for the best because we now have access to more information about our employees than we ever had before within our system. Previously, we would be manually entering data after pulling reports or merging one report with another to get all the information we required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Dayforce:

Invest a lot of time in your implentation and testing so that when you Go Live, everything runs smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?

Previously, we were manually complete onboarding paperwork and then entering into our HRIS. With Dayforce, we can send a link to our new hire and they can complete all onboarding electronically. The benefits have been great because we no longer have to enter all the employee's information, we are just reviewing and approving that the information looks to be correct in the system. What do you like best about Dayforce?

I like the fact that Dayforce integrates all of our HR needs into one place so that I can grab any piece of information I need about an employee at one time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

It feels like Ceridian is still working out the kinks in this software. There have been several occasions where I have spent hours trying to figure out why something isn't working properly, have given up and contacted support, they haven't been able to figure out why it's not working - and then a few weeks later I find out that the error is not something I did on my end, but that it's a bug in the system that will be fixed in a future update. That can feel very frustrating! But all in all, I believe Dayforce is benefiting our company and for the most part does what we need it to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Dayforce:

Ask a lot of questions to your implementation team. If you can, demo the product before going through implementation - this will help you have a better idea of how the information they are requesting from you will be presented and how it will work for you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have 13 different locations and a central office, so since we implemented Dayforce we have been able to streamline a lot of information sharing and ensure that all of our locations are following the same procedures that the central office has set forth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dayforce?

Our implementation team was committed to delivering on our timeline and we get prompt responses from support now that we are in production.

The Dayforce platform is very intuitive for users. Employees love how easy it is to access their information. Very little training was required for most users. They also love how easy it is to request time off and see their time off balances. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

There is limited customization available. You can sometimes find yourself boxed in by what information you can write expressions from. For example, most things are based on location and not pay group.

Wish security roles could be defined by pay group instead of location.

Labor metrics can be a challenge to review in the time sheet view. Supervisors have to dig into each employees detail to see the labor metric information. They can also be a challenge to report one. There isn't a standard report that shows man hours by labor metric. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?

We gone from paper timesheets in some plants to electronic time and attendance tracking. This has streamlined our ability schedule employees and manage employees time off to ensure we have enough coverage each day.

We've also built many interfaces with benefit vendors to import and export data so that we can reduce manual keying.

The cloud based platform allows us to get real time updates and preview the payroll prior to committing.

The effective date capability allows us to enter future and pass dated transactions when received instead of holding on to them until the appropriate pay period or when processing payroll. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dayforce?

Dayforce allows for instant HR updates, calculations of our pay runs on demand to see the liability at any time, the ability to build our platforms to meet our company organizational needs, and knowing that there is a support person on the other end of the line with the expertise and ability to help through almost any issue. I utilize Dayforce everyday, all day and it works very well for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

The report writing program capabilities is a bit lacking and somewhat cumbersome but we have been advised that with our next release the on demand, custom report writing features will be greatly improved. Just an update....the report writing feature has been greatly improved. We are anxious to roll out V56 to our staff here. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Dayforce:

This is a user friendly program with many facets that would complement any HR/Payroll program. The growth of the International arena is amazing and Ceridian's ability to meet our global needs has been easy and professional from implementation to go live. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have a multi-tiered Entitlement benefit program based on Pay Class and Position and the system properly monitors the annual accrual limits in addition to the roll over limits beautifully, especially when an employee moves from one classification either up or down in the tiers. What do you like best about Dayforce?

I like the system better than our previous one (adp), and it has a better user interface Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

It is very cumbersome and performing simple actions like requesting time off takes forever. Our benefits never worked. Implementation was a nightmare. Support was non existent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
