What do you like best about Dayforce?

Dayforce is handy because it offers a quick way for me to check my work schedule anywhere at any time. The mobile version is clear and easy to use, and instantly updates with clock punches. Syncing to your calendar on your phone is easy, and the scheduled day changes color when adjusted, which is helpful in alerting you if your manager changes your schedule on you last minute without notifying you. It is quick and easy to check when the next payday is, as well as the amount on the check and the breakdown of deductions, hours, and bonus pool payouts. What do you dislike about Dayforce?

The mobile app is limited with adjusting punch times, and could benefit from a quicker setup to switch between manager and associate views. It would also be helpful to see actual worked hours on the mobile app, as well as more of the desktop functions that Dayforce offers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?

Dayforce helps our associates keep track of how close we are to overtime, which is good because we get in trouble for going over. What do you like best about Dayforce?

I like the best that my payroll can be done in ONE screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

Dayforce would be much better if they can have the feature of keep track student age when they turn to 18 years of age as well upgrade their rate automatically from student rate to regular minimum rate on their 18th birthday!

Another weakness is the on-boarding should have developed to the point where allow the user to update their company form and sign directly on the form electronically without needing to print out and sign on a hard copy.

Also, It would be great if can allow to send out a mass email to communicate with all team members based on department or company or multi-company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Dayforce is a very user-friendly! Payroll can be done in One screen, which is a pleasant to do payroll . Also, since I used Dayforce, all my payroll notes have been become fewer as I could have it done in Dayforce as well. Time consuming well and fewer things to remember for me! What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about Dayforce?

Dayforce has continued to evolve from just an overly simplistic time tracking application into a very sophisticated robust HCM application in a short time. The continued focus on delivering more product enhancements is very refreshing based on experiences we have had with other vendors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

The growing pains from the rapid movement to enhance the application has cause a less than desirable experience with support. This is also due to high turnover in the support department resulting in getting a support person assigned to cases that have less experience on the application than a user submitting an issue. What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?

In the past 3 years we have taken on many different projects in order to take advantage of features of the system we were not using. Changes that we have embarked on range from changing the Org Structure to creating audit reports to assists us with consistency in using the application. The original time savings benefits that were projected have not come to fruition as once completed they uncovered additional issues that need to be addressed in some manner. What do you like best about Dayforce?

What do you like best about Dayforce?

We greatly appreciate that Ceridian allows for a collaborative environment. We genuinely feel that our concerns are listened to and that Ceridian tried to allow us to express concerns and ideas for change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

Sometimes support is not thorough on answers or will be quick to push a ticket to close out. The largest issue I have with support is if you reopen a ticket or have an additional question on the same ticket a new ticket might be opened to track the case further. I understand from a support side this helps with showing they really worked on x amount of tickets but it's confusing from the customer side. Maybe having parent/child tickets connected would work. What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are having some issues with security. We currently have 37 separate FEIN's in one instance. It can be hard when the same security doesn't follow into all modules. EX: If someone has a high level HR role for their legal entity and location access to that entity- no matter what we give them in the system it would make sense they could only see what they have location access to. But in reality there are areas where they can see everyone.

We have however, realized there are quite a few benefits. One huge benefit to us is system configurability. We can usually make a work around for something that doesn't work as we would like it to. We love that it's a one stop system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dayforce?

The best feature of Dayforce is the 'TRUE' one employee record for the life-cycle of an employee, from recruit to on-boarding to time/attendance to benefits to payroll to retirement/off-boarding. Many HCM systems claim to have this capability but in reality require interfaces and add-ons. Dayforce is truly one record/database; constantly evolving! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

The biggest area of difficulty in Dayforce is currently the carrier feeds; from the inability for a client to access files that are sent to the carrier directly to having to work (and pay) Professional Services for any and all modifications, no matter how small. Request a 'Dayforce' account manager/implementation manager be assigned to you at the beginning of implementation and not just a 3rd party Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?

Employees having the ability to access information on the go through mobile. This is a great time saver for us in the area of timekeeping and retrieving earnings and year-end statements. Also, the onboarding process has made our HR/Payroll recordkeeping completely paperless (outside of the I-9 and that's semi paperless)! What do you like best about Dayforce?

Our employee count has grown substantially over the past few years and we have managed to keep the payroll team small by implementing Dayforce. With Dayforce we were able to make the switch from paper timesheets to having our employees entering data into the timesheets on the software - which are reviewed in real time by managers. We have a complicated way of paying our field staff who make visits in patient homes and the implementation team worked with us to come up with a solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

We get kicked out a lot - it freezes and we have to log back in. There is a refresh and recalc process that takes a few minutes to complete and on payroll day we have to do that process often to get the data to flow to reports for review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?

With a thorough implementation process and the right amount of training, this software has been beneficial to our organization to improving our processes and switching to paper free. Timesheets are now paper free as well as communications to the HR and Payroll departments for employee changes such as rate changes, address changes, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dayforce?

The one employee record aspect makes Dayforce a market leader in HCM platforms. The core products of payroll, HR and benefits work very well. Some of the newer modules, like performance and compensation, are still very basic and need some refinement and better functionality Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have been working in HR and payroll for 15 years and have used numerous different vendors/software over the years. None of them are 100% perfect. But Ceridian comes the closest. It is the most configurable and provides the best ad-hoc reporting tools out there. We have been able to automate many processes that used to be manual systems. This has freed up our HR staff to be more hands-on with employee onboarding, engagement, and development instead of stuck behind their desk completing transactional tasks.
