What do you like best about Dayforce?

Dayforce is always improving. It's not a stagnant status quo. I love the WFM and Payroll Modules. Time flows seamlessly from WFM to Payroll, and we can pay all of our legal entities in one pay group. The paperless manager and employee self service is great. We use Dayforce Messaging to communicate with our employees. We utilize Web Services to build out integration with other systems. What do you dislike about Dayforce?

The system can sometimes run slow. There are always challenges with every system, but we can usually find a work around in Dayforce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?

Dayforce Touch Clocks are easy to use and populate Dayforce Timesheets. We have pay policies that run calculation rules, which really helps with state compliance issues. Employees view their payroll preview in real time on the Dayforce App. We have a 100% paperless payroll process with Dayforce. Also, the ability to pay a number of legal entities in one pay group has saved us a lot of work. The GL is highly configurable and allows us to deal with one off exceptions. Managers submit Dayforce forms to initiate employee changes, such a pay changes, promotions, demotions, transfers and terminations. We utilize Dayforce Performance, Compensation, and Benefits management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dayforce?

Dayforce consists of various HR modules like recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, payroll, timesheets and more. One HR system can be used for all HR operations reducing the need for additional softwares. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

A lot of modules are new and the company is upgrading it with newer features and seeking feedback from other people.

The system is very advanced, which is good, but there is a learning curve while using certain payroll or timesheet or WFM processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Dayforce:

Review training and videos offered by Ceridian. IT skills like SQL, XML will be helpful while hiring people to use Dayforce. Join the basecamp and xoxo user community to network with other users. It helps in learning best practices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?

Reducing paper. Reduced dependency on spreadsheets. Organization has better hygiene factors due to time clocks. It is easy to audit large amounts of data.

What do you like best about Dayforce?

It's easy to commit the pay. Changes can be made in real time. It can be configured to how your organization handles payroll. It's nice that there are several ways to audit the payroll. You can run reports or look at individual pay statements within the pay period. You can enter payroll information for future pay periods. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

Reports are not user friendly. Reporting needs a lot more improvement. It appears that in the updated version, your not able to look up an employee by social security number. When there are employees with the same name, being able to look them up by social security number is helpful to distinguish between who is whom. The system does seem to lock up which can be an inconvenience because you have to keep closing out the application and log back on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Dayforce:

During implementation, be very knowledgeable regarding how you want your system to be for your organization. Implementation is a very time consuming task. Be sure to have as much help as possible as it's like completing 2 full time jobs doing system implementation, as well as processing payroll and or other job related task. Commit the payroll team to be life long learners, as Dayforce does not stay complacent and is updated often. How the application looks today may be a little different a few months later. What do you like best about Dayforce?

Ceridian is a very powerful payroll processing tool. The tool is fully automated and has all the required information pre-fetches so that all the tax deductions and benefits are auto deducted from the pay and the scope of error is minimised to a very large extent. It helps a lot in processing payroll for a very large number of consultants. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

The tool is not easy to understand for first time users. One needs to be thoroughly made aware about the various aspects of Ceridian to be able to use it easily. Also, the pricing is bit too high and for a small company it becomes very difficult to manage their payroll using Ceridian as the cost of operating goes quite high. Recommendations to others considering Dayforce:

If you are a small business owner you should definitely look for your options as there are other cheaper alternatives present. However, if costing is not an issue for you than Ceridian is one of the best tool that will not only save you time but will also reduce the work hours by a very large factor. My Organisations runs payroll for thousands of consultants on a regular basis and in order to make sure that there are no errors in doing so a reliable tool is needed. Ceridian serves the purpose and helps in processing the payroll within a given time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dayforce?

We went from using 4 separate systems to ONE with Dayforce. Our implementation team was wonderful to work with as we navigated this transition in a very trying year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

While I understand why each module is set up separately, once we went live, it was hard to understand how each module affects the others. It would have been helpful to see "big picture" of how they all integrate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dayforce?

One place to serve all our HR Solutions, Performance Management, and Payroll. This helps us to focus on training, form fillings, and engagements. We can update personnel records, timesheets, and schedules that can be accessed by users. All over this is great to maintain/process our records. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have the highest regard to Ceridian’s upgrade process. New features and functionality are being rolled out regularly at least twice per year. Ceridian’s methodology involving system upgrades are executed effectively and has not impacted our operations in any way. What do you like best about Dayforce?
