What do you like best about YouScan?

I am not the most experienced user of social monitoring tools but what I like about YouScan is:

- an easy-to-use interface

- good quality of search results for new posts and publications

YouScan allows you to customize your search queries for media monitoring to achieve the best possible results. The platform offers a variety of filters to sift through irrelevant mentions or narrow down your search. A significant advantage is the ability to monitor selected channels (for example, a specific list of pages rather than the entire social network if you're interested in particular influencers). The support you can get is phenomenal - super friendly staff, always ready to help, reacting very fast, keeping the pulse throughout usage to make sure everything is okay. YouScan has become an indispensable tool for our team. We use it daily to monitor online mentions of our client, industry news and competitors. The daily reports and real-time alerts keep us in the loop, and the features cover what we need in a social listening tool.

YouScan is packed with capabilities, so there’s definitely a bit of a learning curve; however, our customer success manager, Maria, has been amazing. She walked us through the platform step by step, helped us set up our account, and created a customized dashboard to meet our client's specific needs. She also provides tips and insights during weekly check-ins that have helped us get the most out of the software. We appreciate that YouScan prioritizes the user experience and user success. The main challenge we’ve encountered is the learning curve, especially when it comes to mastering the logical operators in the search query language. Ffiltering out irrelevant mentions can also be tricky for companies with more generic names, as the system sometimes pulls in unrelated results. What do you like best about YouScan?

- Everyone I've spoken to at YouScan has been exceptional. The people really do make YouScan great and stand out from our similar SaaS tools I've used.

- We really love the amount of data we have access to, we're proud to be able to offer data sources other platforms simply dont have to our clients.

- I think some of their tools are exceptional and marketing leading, the image analysis capabilities are particularly impressive.

- We've managed to quickly onboard hundreds of users very quickly and uptake has been super quick.

What do you dislike about YouScan?

- The onboarding process was quick, but we were surprised we had to pay in full and up front. It meant we had to delay onboarding plans.

- Overall I think YouScan has the data and capabilities, but in some place it's UI feels as though it's in its nascent stages. Having done social listening for nearly 7 years and used most major platforms, I can easily say there are features you'd expect them to have which they dont. But I will say in their defence theyre very open to feedback on what we'd like to see and we have been told some of the features we'd like are on their way.

- The 'back filling' of queries can be really slow, some queries can take up to a day.

- The use of quote marks in queries doesn't always work as it should - YouScan supports advice for this has been to build out NOT lists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is YouScan solving and how is that benefiting you?

We moved over to YouScan from Brandwatch. Brandwatch started to feel like they had given up on it and were focused on Falcon, theyre social platform. I have been using Brandwatch since 2018 and the amount of new features and tools they had developed were very low. YouScan feels like the opposite of that...! Everyone from the CEO, the VP of Sales, our account manager and everyone I've messaged in their support team is keen, eager to help and we've so far loved our experience of both the new technologies that YouScan offers. We love the platform; it helps us maintain our company’s digital reputation in a consistently positive way, allowing clients and individuals experiencing issues with our services to get near-instant assistance. Additionally, the competitor listening feature has strengthened our strategy, enabling us to remain one of the most important companies in the industry.
