What I like most about Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence is the ease I have in measuring the reputation, messages, and content of my products or accounts.

What I like least about Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence is that it is not active on all social networks, for example. In my company, sometimes we need to measure reputation and messages on LinkedIn or TikTok, but it is not enabled to connect there.

I’ve found Brandwatch’s Consumer Intelligence platform incredibly useful for analysing online conversations and identifying key trends. The AI-driven analytics help cut through the noise, making it much easier to spot shifts in consumer behaviour, emerging market trends, and competitor activity. The dashboards are intuitive and make complex data more digestible, while the custom alerts ensure I can react quickly to any changes in sentiment. With access to deep historical data and a huge range of sources, it provides a really comprehensive view of consumer opinion, making it an essential tool for data-driven decision-making. Few competitors can beat Brandwatch when it comes to being an easy-to-use social listening tool. Its query builder is clean and simple, as are the Brandwatch Academy resources which teach junior colleagues how to use it. The Quick Search function rivals Google Trends in being a 'pick up and play' insight finder. The dashboard templates, equally, are great for both seasoned pros and novice users. Like any social listening tool, Brandwatch has its limitations. While Twitter/X is, of course, the most accessible social platform for such data scraping, it seldom feels like Brandwatch has tried to innovate out of its over-reliance on the platform; a demand only accentuated by the recent infestation of bot accounts on X. Likewise, a proper audience solution or improved AI sentiment function continue to feel a few years away. Finally, the speed at which Brandwatch gathers mentions is often unpredictable - a massive, ten-year query can load in minutes, while an apparently simple search can take an age.
None of this layers up to a poor user experience, for Brandwatch is certainly not that. But for a company that gets so much right, it is a disappointment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

2.It goes beyond simple positive or negative categorizations, offering nuanced insights into the emotional tone of consumer conversations.

1. Too much of online news and approx (3 to 5)% of them do not open or show errors.
2. The keyword backfilling fails even after multiple attempts.

The ability to have simple or complex search strings that pull data from global media titles (across different types, incl. social media) is so helpful for evaluating campaign impact in the communications world. I like the variety of options to display data, and glean fresh insights with new views. I also get a lot of use out of the iris AI powered insights to understand peaks or changes in data. It is not uncommon to experience small glitches, like things not saving, charts pulling in data from elsewhere, or issues moving elements around within a dashboard. customizable UI is its strongest asset. You are able to manipulate the dashboard in any way you need. I frequently use one page to visualize all my numbers, and then a different page to do comparisons. This flexibility makes it very easy for data population.

As with any social media tool, intergrating owned channels is a challenge. Sometimes its not very clear when a feed is connected vs. when it drops.
Customer service is slower than you woud like it to be for emergency situations, but still works well for normal day to day problems.
The lack of a unified engagement score is very fustrating.

The Brandwatch Consumer Insights is very useful for finding trends, opportunities, and insights and understanding the public audience for a brand or theme even better.
