VWO is very simple software to use. I've been using it for about 3 years and it's suited my needs perfectly. If you're just beginning in Optimisation the basic package is fine and can get you testing, but then as you progress in your optimisation journey there are lots and lots of packages you can upgrade to and add on.
Aside from the actual software, the support from VWO is very good. Their Support team is excellent and very responsive to my requests. If I'm struggling with building a test I can send off a request to the team and usually they'll have fixed and built it within a day or so. This is such a good aspect of VWO that I cannot praise highly enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are 2 things I dont like about the current set up:
- AB tests and Split URL tests are in 2 different sections, so you have to remember which tests are in which section and navigate between them. I'm not sure why they cant be in the same section and then filters used to separate out the tests.
- When you're creating a variant and have made changes to it you cant make a copy of it as it is within the test - you have to create a new Clone of the whole test. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
VWO has given our website team many insights into what works best to drive the most conversions. We've been able to leverage the AB testing data to make meaningful updates to our website and customer flows. The VWO interface is an easy drag and drop overlay making for quick updates when prepping a test. In addition to the easy interface,
our CSM Bipin has been a great point person for all our teams questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When running into glitches with the interface it can sometimes take a week or more for a response. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

After working with Google Optimize for a couple of years, it's sunset date turned out to be a blessing in disguise, since we're now working with VWO for a couple of years.
VWO's visual editor is very easy to use, but the true power lies within the code editor. If you're efficient in HTML/CSS/JS, the options to build new experiments are almost limitless.
Another great thing about VWO is their customer support. Even with our timezone difference, they have always been quick to respond and they've helped out on numerous occasions with both implementation issues, as also reviewing our code when building new experiments.
VWO has helped us greatly with our CRO roadmap and to improve the conversion rate of our website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside of VWO for me is the pricing. They're not the cheapest tool out there and some cool functionality is only available in the most expensive plans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a first-time user of experimentation platforms, Bipin has helped us get up to speed - quickly responding to our questions, pulling in support where needed, and providing a thorough response with our inquiries- often offering a live demo. The interface was a learning curve, but Bipin helped get us acquainted with the product. We've enjoyed the number of features that are available and the consistent new updates that we've been able to test out (like co-pilot). Implementation has been mostly easy. Integrations with Marketo or GTM have been more difficult than we anticipated. Although some of this is due to our custom configurations, it would have been helpful to know these watch-outs when we started the integration process. Certain metrics have been specific to VWO rather than consistent with industry accepted definitions (such as bounce rate), which is slightly difficult to navigate, but Bipin has helped to clarify along the way. The fact that either developers (technical audience) as well as marketeers (non-technical most of the time) can use the tool to setup powerful experiments is a true game changer. As I'm a big advocate of testing and learning, VWO enables companies to get into the game in a quick and intuitive way without much hassle. Especially setting up A/B tests and split URL campaigns are some of the most powerful features. Recenctly we've implemented form analytics as well to see in detail where in (larger) forms users tend to drop off. These insights are a god given present for every product team and will enable better decision taking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The cost of VWO can get pretty steep when combining multiple modules or when implemented on higher traffic websites Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The tools are really intuitive and feel endless. I am in awe of the amount of customization that can be used in configuring a test. Moreover, I truly have enjoyed the amount of support from our VWO correspondent, Rashika. This has helped myself and the team feel confident as we began building our first few tests. There is not much to dislike regarding the service. Nonetheless, if I was too nitpick, I would enjoy having access to some features locked behind the pricier plan. Although, we certainly have many great tools/features available to us in our current plan. Also, I would enjoy more capabilities to run A/B test for email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I greatly appreciate the ease of use that the tool provides. When we transitioned from Google Optimize to VWO, our main concern was the learning curve. However, we received comprehensive support from the team, including training that significantly enhanced our understanding of the tool. The platform is robust and meets our current testing demands. Beyond features like statistically guided winner selection, detailed reporting, and GA4 integration, the standout aspect for me is the exceptional support from the team. This support has enabled us to discover new ways to leverage the tool's potential and its integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Initially, we faced some challenges with the language barrier. However, the company promptly addressed this by including professionals who speak our native language to support us. Beyond this, there is nothing significant that I can mention as a drawback of the tool. Perhaps there are some features we do not utilize due to our internal processes, such as the backlog and calendar functionalities. We prefer to use our own tracking tools for these purposes. Monali has been a great part of the VWO testing- in our weekly calls, she has been a huge help in fixing bugs, coordinating communication between Nestle and VWO, and being flexible. While the platform is easy enough once you get to learn, the tests still have some inconsistencies and bugs that are frustrating; however, it is comfortable and helpful that Monali is always ready to help despite a sizeable time difference. Additionally, the initial support sessions with Hetal were helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it takes a while to load or throws errors, which is frustrating as I will get incorrect error messages about the SmartCode or other tests. I wish there were more VWO-native metrics tracking, instead of having to integrate it with other platforms or installing new code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

VWO has taken our growth experiments to the next level. The Split URL feature has enabled us to quickly test new user flows, and we’ve also been using it as an alternative to feature toggle products. In addition, their customer support has been exceptional, providing timely and effective assistance whenever needed, making the entire experience even smoother. While VWO is a powerful tool, I would like the ability to add more filters to my segmentations and run multiple tests simultaneously. Unfortunately, these features are only available in higher-tier plans, which makes the pricing structure a bit limiting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
