What do you like best about SolarWinds Observability?

It's easy to use with the free subscription. It's easy to integrate with Ubiquiti Unifi UDM and many features for the price. I use it daily to get an idea of the health of my network including firewall rules, router and switch issues and more. To implement, I just had to put the url into my UDM. After I figured out how I want to use the log, I save processing and data by putting filter logs directly in papertrail in order to prevent it counting useless data to my data cap. Prices for adding additional log processing is low and on demand which makes it easy to only pay for what you get. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SolarWinds Observability?

It wasn't easy to figure out how to do the log filters with severity. At first, it is easy to put in strings to exclude from the filters, but I still haven't figured out how to filter out severity when the severity text is not actually in the string. It is a number.

I would love to see a feature to help find anomalies and security issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SolarWinds Observability?

What I like is the ability to automate tasks and responses to alerts, allowing for the configuration of custom actions to resolve issues without the need for human intervention. The flexibility to integrate with other SolarWinds and third-party tools is a standout feature, providing the capability to expand monitoring capabilities. Additionally, it offers a wide range of reporting and analytical capabilities, enabling the evaluation of performance over time, identifying trends, and making informed decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SolarWinds Observability?

Some of the updates or maintenance of this tool can be complex, especially in environments with multiple instances or customizations. In very large and complex implementations, you may encounter challenges in terms of scalability and performance. Managing multiple instances can be a bit intricate Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SolarWinds Observability?

The best thing I like is VM Sprawl. With VM sprawl notifications and suggestions, we can rapidly reclaim virtual resources. To clear up storage capacity, VMAN can automatically discover orphaned VMDKs, stale, and zombie VMs and we can review and delete them. You can further cut costs by right-sizing your virtual machines with the help of VMAN. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SolarWinds Observability?

Setting up SolarWinds VMAN is a tough task.Their support is not to mark. Also we were not able to integrate our VROPs with it due to compatibility issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
