Technically, we have nothing to criticize. However, what really bothers and disappoints us is the change in licensing and the new subscription model for the plugins.
We were assured during the migration that all the features of the Evolve subscription version would be available in the Professional version. Suddenly Shopware completely changes the licensing and charges a multiple of the previous costs. They no longer want to know anything about the previous assurance of costs.
Now it is also the case that plugins can only be rented as a subscription model and can no longer be purchased, which also means a higher financial burden. All in all, this is extremely disappointing, especially if you don't keep your word. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Die Benutzeroberfläche ist intuitiv und benutzerfreundlich. Selbst als Anfänger fand ich mich schnell zurecht. Alles ist klar strukturiert, sodass ich immer schnell die gewünschten Funktionen finde. Das macht das Arbeiten einfach angenehm.
Der Kundensupport ist ein weiterer Pluspunkt. Ich hatte ein paar Fragen zu spezifischen Funktionen, und die Antworten kamen prompt und waren sehr hilfreich.
Wir verwenden Shopware im Arbeitsalltag, es bietet uns alles, was wir für unsere Online-Präsenz benötigen, und wir entdecken ständig neue Funktionen, die unsere Arbeit erleichtern. Stichwort: B2B-Components oder Dynamic Access ;-)
Die Vielzahl an Funktionen beeindruckt uns immer wieder. Von der Erstellung von Produktseiten/Landingpages bis hin zu verschiedenen Marketing-Tools ist alles dabei. Und was es nicht gibt, gibt es entweder als App im Store oder kann mit ein wenig Entwicklungsaufwand erreicht werden.
Gerade die Integration von Drittanbieterdiensten funktioniert sehr gut. Die verfügbaren Plugins erweitern die Funktionalität unserer Shops erheblich und lassen sich ohne großen Aufwand einbinden. Durch zahlreiche Foreneinträge findet man außerdem gute Hilfe bei Problemen.
Insgesamt sind wir mit Shopware wirklich zufrieden und können es jedem empfehlen, der einen leistungsstarken und benutzerfreundlichen Online-Shop oder eine Firmenwebsite aufbauen möchte. Excellent shop system with high flexibility
We have been using Shopware for our online shop Müller Small Living for many years and are extremely satisfied with the current version Shopware 6.
As a manufacturer of high-quality furniture "Made in Germany", it is essential for us to have a powerful and flexible shop system. Shopware 6 offers us exactly that: intuitive operation, modern technology and extensive customisation options. We were particularly impressed by the simple integration of our furniture configurator (pCon), which our customers can use to design customised products.
Another highlight is the modular structure, which enables us to continuously develop our shop and adapt it to new requirements. We also appreciate the strong community and the reliable support, which is always on hand to help us with questions or new challenges.
We can recommend Shopware 6 without reservation - a powerful, future-proof and flexible system for companies that want to run their e-commerce professionally.

I have been a Shopware user since 2015 and have come to appreciate the good to very good quality support (e.g., Moritz) over the years. There has always been not only an active community but also many agencies with a very broad range of topics. So, there are plugins for most needs. Version 5 was not designed to last forever in terms of architecture: many of the plugins at that time "dug" deep into the system and left their traces. Therefore, a fresh start was doubly sensible: with Shopware 6. The rule-based configuration opened up a wide range of applications, making the use of many plugins obsolete. Of course, one has to familiarize oneself with the new configuration possibilities - but that's like with any new system. However, many options were intuitive and therefore not rocket science. We did not implement the connection to marketplaces directly from SW6, but instead, we interposed Plenty here. Our external IT staff was also impressed by the technical implementation in SW6 and gave me the feedback: for any demanding shop solution, he will suggest SW6. The contact through the Shopware Community Day is ideal for getting direct contact with the SW team, but also for engaging in conversations with SW partners and listening to interesting lectures. With the global orientation, I found it unfortunate that most documents/videos/representations are increasingly in English. Yes, I have no technical problem with it, but I simply find it more relaxing in my native language.
Due to the switch from purchase options for plugins to rental, the costs for plugins have virtually exploded. I have experienced this myself with some examples and then decided against some plugins. Fair costs, yes, but some agencies really take advantage - in some cases more than doubling the costs when viewed annually.
