**What do you like best about Rippling?**

Rippling makes global employment feel simple and reliable. I work remotely in Asia for a U.S.-based company, and Rippling helps ensure I’m paid accurately and on time. Having payroll, HR, and global employment management in one system makes the whole process more transparent and much easier to manage. It’s particularly helpful for international employees because it streamlines cross-border payroll and compliance, which gives both the company and employees peace of mind. Overall, the platform is intuitive, efficient, and dependable.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

I honestly can't think of anything I dislike about Rippling. I only log in a few times a year.

**What problems is Rippling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rippling helps cut through the complexity of managing global employees, payroll, and compliance across different countries. I work in Asia for a U.S.-based company, and Rippling ensures I’m paid accurately and on time while handling the cross-border employment logistics behind the scenes. The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate; everything from payroll information to documents and HR updates is in one place. From an employee perspective, the implementation felt seamless, and the system integrates multiple HR and payroll functions into a single platform. Overall, Rippling removes a lot of administrative friction and makes global employment much smoother for both employees and companies.

**What do you like best about Rippling?**

Riplling's self-service portal has totally change how our team operates, it wasn't just a place to check paystub, it is a command center where employees handled their own benefits management and life-event changes. Schedule management tools are a massive relief to manage vacations, sick leave, and even a complex overtime rules are tracked automatically. Implementation process is easy because of the guided migration, we've been assigned a dedicated specialist customer support that helped map our existing payroll data and state-specific compliance support rules directly into the employees payroll settings.

In addition, we transform from overly-manual spreadsheet operation into a fully integrated HR code system and IT system(slack integrated) just under three weeks and have been using the system for almost three years everyday without any major issue.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

What I dislike with Rippling's mobile apps is lacking of advanced administrative capabilities, currently, to resolve complex schedule management conflicts or compliance audits still require for a desktop version of the platform.

**What problems is Rippling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problem that Rippling is solving is the compliance management that we used to constantly worried about missing a new state-specific labor law or an ACA filing deadline, after the automated compliance support, the system proactively flag risks like overtime violations.

**What do you like best about Rippling?**

Basically what I said above. The interface is fast, modern, and I specially appreciate the simplicity of it (no affiliation with the design team but huge shoutout). Another bonus is that when I was looking for help on downloading my W2, that process was also smooth and immediately pointed me to where I can find it inside the interface. Very impressed, no complaints on my end and all the praise. Rippling rips.

As of now, nothing. Looks very well built and thought out.

Accessing my payroll info in an easy and fast way. Plus storing all my tax documents so its seamless for me to acess when tax season comes.

**What do you like best about Rippling?**

For the cost and suite of products, it is really built to help HR teams scale at a more reasonable and cost effective pace. We have been able to keep a much leaner HR team because we don't have to do a lot of the manual work (like COBRA, verifying i9s, filing taxes, etc.) that typically requires several extra people on staff to manage.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

I do think because they are building such a full suite of products, you're not going to build everything as well as some independent products. I think one of the biggest areas Rippling lacks right now is on the IT security and  IdP side.

**What problems is Rippling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The custom apps product has been really interesting because it allows people to build apps that are critical for their specific use cases, but might not be standard within the Rippling product. You're not going to build something that works perfectly for every person's specific process, so offering a product where you can build what you want is a great solution.

**What do you like best about Rippling?**

I use Rippling primarily for HR and contract management, including payroll and time off tracking, and accessing company-related documents. It makes handling day-to-day HR and contractor management tasks much easier in one place, reducing back-and-forth communication because everything is centralized. I most like how easy it makes payroll and time off management; payroll details and payment history are very clear, and dealing with tracking time off is simple and straightforward. Having payroll and time off in one place makes things much more convenient and transparent. I can easily check payment details, access documents, and track PTO without needing extra communication with HR. Also, the initial setup was quite straightforward, and the platform has been reliable without any major issues with the features I use regularly. I would rate my likelihood to recommend Rippling to a friend or colleague as a 10.

**What do you like best about Rippling?**

We are a small startup that started last year backed by Y Combinator, the same accelerator that incubated Rippling. We use Rippling as our standard HR system and payroll management, which allows us to delegate tax deduction, health insurance, 401K without having to set it up from scratch. As part of the Y Combinator deal, we also get 1 year of free Founder Mode subscription which helps us evaluate the product at no cost which is excellent. Our fundamental reason for picking Rippling over other startup-focused HR companies was the maturity of the platform and their top tier sales team, which can be pushy at times but generally were quite helpful. More over, their support team is excellent which has really quick turnaround time on Slack. We use Rippling every week for our payroll checks and its been really smooth. We also integrate it with our health insurance reimbursement through Salusion which has been great. The migration and implementation was also great and seamless thanks to their onboarding team.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

Sometimes it can feel a bit overwhelming and hard to navigate. The sales team is also somewhat pushy which is not fun. The platform has a lot of features and not all are relevant for a small startup.

**What problems is Rippling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rippling handles taxes, payroll management, and payslips in one place, making it very convenient. They also help you with the health insurance, reimbursements, benefit, 401k management and MDM.

**What do you like best about Rippling?**

Rippling is very user-friendly and easy to navigate, making it simple to clock in and out as well as view pay stubs. I like that Rippling's setup is not chaotic and has a minimalist feel, which adds to its convenience. It's impressive that Rippling never lags and updates seamlessly when I need to change or remove any info. The accessibility of my payslip has greatly improved with Rippling, as it's much easier to log in. I also appreciate that my pay stub is always on time with no delays. Additionally, setting up Rippling was quick and easy, as it only required my Google account to sign up and a little more information for my personal account.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

What I do not like so far sometimes is, when submitting timecard can take a little while to save.

I use Rippling because it's user-friendly for tracking time and accessing pay stubs. It solves my issue of not being able to easily view pay slips by making them accessible and easy to log in.

**What do you like best about Rippling?**

Rippling offers so many services altogether in one package - instead of having to log in to multiple services, we now have just one place to go. It is the most affordable comprehensive software suite I have seen so far. So far, customer support has been fantastic. Most of our staff were able to make the switch over from the prior services we used with ease. QBO users will have to download/upload or manually enter vendors into the Bill Pay app, as Rippling does not currently offer a direct import from QuickBooks, and we had to troubleshoot a couple of errors I made in the setup to get the syncs to work correctly, BUT - other than that, the syncing is super smooth and I love it.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

It was a little difficult to set up (we chose the DIY approach, so that probably affected our point of view). However, our implementation team was very responsive and helpful. Because it is so robust and we have so many apps at our fingertips, it can be difficult to remember where to go when we need to adjust a certain setting. I have been the main driver of the implementation and after 6 weeks of daily usage, I finally feel like I know most of my way around.

**What problems is Rippling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rippling has minimized the number of apps we have to use from an operational standpoint. We are more efficient this way; our vendors can enter their payment and tax information more easily than any other software we have used to date, and the whole bill approval-to-payment process is smoother and faster.

Heavy Client Burden for Setup: As the client, I was responsible for a significant amount of upfront data preparation, including formatting historical payroll data and proactively registering with state agencies (e.g., California EDD, Nebraska Department of Revenue) to obtain the necessary tax IDs and rates.

**What problems is Rippling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Complete Management of US Payroll and Taxes: I value Rippling because it manages payroll, taxes, and other related employment processes for US employees. As Lee Jordan Chang put it, Rippling is “doing everything for us,” which takes a lot of the stress out of the process and helps eliminate worries about future tax filing.

What I like most about Rippling is how it integrates everything into one system, making HR, finances, and tools accessible instantly. The onboarding experience is the biggest win for me. I can set up new employees in minutes, providing them with a laptop, Slack, and app access without having to chase different things. Implementation works pretty well overall, starting with the core HR and payroll modules and then connecting Slack and IT device management.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

I want Rippling to improve the customization and reporting flexibility. I need easier ad hoc report building without having to patch things together. The mobile experience could be better, particularly for time sheets, expenses, and device action. Some integrations need more work, and the design can be complex. Customer support is generally good, but during busy periods or critical incidents, response times can be slow.

Rippling automates onboarding and offboarding, reducing human errors and saving time by managing tasks like access revocation and device collection all in one go.

**What do you like best about Rippling?**

Rippling is very easy to use, both as an employee and as an administrator. Implementation was straightforward, and both employees and admins have been happy with the system. The reporting capabilities have been especially helpful; it’s simple to build custom reports or rely on Rippling's standard reports. We also really like the workflows, which help us automate routine tasks.

We were able to set up an integration between Rippling payroll and NetSuite in less than an hour, and it has been working well.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

Setting up some of the leave types was a bit tricky, mainly because there are so many options for accrual types and related settings. I appreciated the flexibility, but it ended up being more complicated than I expected to configure everything and get the accruals working properly. On the other hand, importing our existing leave balances during implementation was very easy, which was a big plus.

**What problems is Rippling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rippling has enabled us to run a truly global HRIS and payroll system. As a result, we can support cross-geo manager/employee relationships for things like leave reporting and related approvals.

Rippling workflows have also helped us automate routine tasks, and they’re very simple to build. The integration with MS Teams is especially useful for sending reminders to managers and team members, which helps ensure approvals are completed in a timely manner.

Having a unified HRIS has improved our reporting capabilities across our workforce in multiple countries. We can report on complete employee data and segment it across many different dimensions, which makes it much easier to understand what’s happening across the organization.

Rippling answers all of my questions. It explains everything so clearly that I don’t even have to think about asking someone else where or how to do things. The support team is great, and the buttons are easy to find. It benefits me by letting me view my paystubs in a way that’s simple and clear. It also makes requesting time changes and submitting time-off requests fast and straightforward, which I really appreciate.

I love how Rippling merges HR, payroll, and spend management into one platform, drastically cutting down on the back-and-forth I used to experience with separate tools. The ability to approve a contractor invoice, check headcount for planning, and process an expense report all without switching tabs is fantastic. The real-time visibility into headcount and approvals without having to chase finance is a big plus. It's great that onboarding a new sales hire is now simplified, as I can initiate everything from one screen instead of juggling multiple tools and chasing IT separately. The automation features are impressive, particularly how recurring expense approvals and headcount reports essentially manage themselves, allowing me to focus more on pipeline work instead of administrative tasks. I also found the initial setup to be very easy.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

The flip side of having everything in one tool is that finding the right setting can feel like a treasure hunt. Some menus are buried in places I wouldn't have guessed, and when I'm trying to push something through quickly, that slows me down. The platform also gets a bit sluggish during busier parts of the day. None of this is a dealbreaker, but I'd love to see the navigation tightened up.

Rippling eliminates switching between HR, finance, and IT tools, saving hours weekly and providing real-time visibility into headcount and approvals—no more chasing finance. Automation helps with recurring tasks, allowing me to focus on pipeline work instead of admin.

**What do you like best about Rippling?**

I really appreciate Rippling for its simplicity and ease of use, especially since we hadn't used a payroll system before. The customer support is incredible, and Kartik in particular was incredibly helpful, walking us through the setup and being responsive even with the time difference. I find it very useful that Rippling offers detailed information about each employee, making it easy to change their rates even after payroll is approved. I also like that the software is adaptable to our needs. The combination of these aspects makes me very happy with the service.

Sometimes the menus don't seem as intuitive as they could be.

I use Rippling for payroll, and it simplifies complex tasks like back payrolls and tax-only payrolls. It's easy to use, with excellent customer support. I appreciate its detailed employee information and adaptability for rate changes.

It had potential to be a good platform but it didn't deliver.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

It did not perform as advertised. They claimed to be about supporting small businesses, but I have yet to see that in practice. Instead, they seem to hide behind contracts rather than do what I believe is the right thing.

**What problems is Rippling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am writing to formally express my profound dissatisfaction with your refusal to provide a pro-rated refund for services that were never successfully rendered.

Based on a demonstration that promised a "simple" onboarding process, I took a chance on your platform as a small business owner. Those promises proved false. Your CSV mapping tool failed repeatedly, forcing me to waste countless hours of my own time attempting to rectify your system's technical shortcomings. The platform is neither user-friendly nor intuitive, and it ultimately failed to deliver the core functionality promised during the sales cycle.

During my discussion with your advisor, I acted in good faith by offering to pay for the first three months of service—despite the fact that I was unable to use the product due to its own defects. My request was simple: Release me from the remainder of the contract and reimburse me for the unused, unrendered services.

Your decision to hide behind a one-year contract—delivered after a three-week silence—is a clear admission of your corporate priorities. A company that claims to support small and medium-sized businesses would recognize a service failure and rectify it. Instead, you have chosen to prioritize your bottom line over professional integrity and customer experience.

By forcing a small business to pay for a full year of a non-functional service, you have demonstrated that you are not a partner, but a predator of small business budgets.

Consider this my final notice that I will be sharing my experience across all relevant professional networks and review platforms. I strongly advise any business considering your services to look elsewhere for a provider that actually values its clients.

I appreciate Rippling for its ability to handle everything related to employee information, such as storing compensation data and managing employee-related documents. I particularly like the time tracking feature, which is tailored minute-for-minute for employees based in Germany. I find the time request process super convenient, allowing people to easily request sick days or time off with just a couple of clicks, and it's all swiftly approved by managers. Another feature I really like is the approval system, which simplifies getting a second approval or a review, making the process super easy. Additionally, I think the initial setup of Rippling was good due to the excellent support we received, making it easy to get started.

Rippling is really country-specific, and this makes tailoring for each country possible, but it gets complicated since there's no glossary explaining what each field means in different locations. There are 500 plus fields in the user profiles, and when I try to edit and rearrange them, fields with the same name pop up across countries with no way to know which field belongs to which country. It's basically a guessing game.   Additionally, there are too many separate features and products. We are expecting one thing based on previous experience with multiple other HRIS but then realised Rippling offers each part as a separate feature so the costs increased a lot.

I like that Rippling has slashed the number of apps we juggle on the operations side and that we don't have to bounce between five different platforms anymore, as everything now lives under one roof, from payroll to bill pay to app management. It's the most affordable all-in-one suite I've come across, and the customer support has been top-notch since day one. Vendors enter their payment and tax details more painlessly than on any platform we've tried, which spares me hours of back-and-forth emails and chasing W-9s. The whole bill approval to payment workflow is smoother and faster than ever. Payroll basically runs itself once it's set up, freeing me from the eleventh-hour scramble every pay cycle. App management is a real hero, allowing me to provision or revoke software access for new hires in one go. The Bill Pay sync with QuickBooks Online, though needing a bit of manual work initially, runs like clockwork once set up correctly, and I genuinely love it. Most of our staff made the leap from our previous tools without breaking a sweat.

The initial setup was a tougher hill to climb than I expected. We went the DIY route, which probably colored my experience, but the implementation team was always quick to respond when I hit a wall. A guided setup wizard with clearer checkpoints would go a long way, since we hit a few snags around tax jurisdiction settings and benefits mapping that weren't obvious until something broke.

With Rippling, we centralized these processes into a single platform and automated many repetitive tasks. Now, when a new employee joins, payroll setup, app provisioning, device assignments, and onboarding workflows happen automatically, which has reduced onboarding time significantly and improved overall efficiency.

Rippling was easy to set up, reminds us of all the important activities, takes care of all the tax filings required, and have been very responsive to our inquiries when we had any (there have not been many!).  The system is very responsive with no issues with performance.  The pricing is just right for our small company.

The only thing I have enjoyed about Rippling is the HR Ticketing app I was able to customize. Of course, we only get one with our plan, and it's probably going to cost a ridiculous amount of money for more.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

Support is the single biggest failure. There is no direct phone line. You either email or use a chatbot, and you can ask both the same question and get two different wrong answers — I've tested it. Escalation to someone who actually understands the product takes way too long, and by the time you reach them, you are beyond frustrated. I genuinely feel for the support reps. The product is sprawling, constantly expanding, and they are clearly not given the training or tools to do their jobs. That isn't a rep problem. That's a leadership decision to under-resource the team that touches every customer.

The answers you do get cannot be trusted, and the problem starts in the sales cycle. Our sales rep told us Rippling could handle a state-level tax registration for us. We signed based partly on that promise. It wasn't until we were already deep in implementation that we found out it wasn't true — at which point the leverage was theirs, not ours. When I then fought for months to get real support on the issue, what I eventually received were documents containing incorrect information that, had I used them, would have caused us to double-pay withholding taxes. I was separately told that a standard federal tax form couldn't be shared with me because it contained "other companies' information" — a statement that is factually impossible if you've ever looked at the form for even five seconds. This isn't a one-off. This is a company that sells capabilities it does not have, then leaves you to clean up the consequences with a support team that gets compliance questions wrong with full confidence. 

Their own internal teams contradict each other. Rippling's help articles recommend one approach for testing the product; their support team will tell you that approach isn't allowed and push you toward an additional five-figure product instead. Two minutes after a support rep told me there was no workaround, my account manager told me the exact opposite. I should not have to triangulate between three sources inside the same vendor to find out what is true. That is not a functioning support organization — that is a company where nobody talks to each other and the customer pays for it.

The errors are not theoretical. They cost real money and create real risk. A 401(k) contribution issue was "resolved" by support copy-pasting generic instructions without ever opening the account. Those instructions led to incorrect fixes being applied to an employee's pay. When the things being mishandled are compensation and retirement contributions — the two functions employees notice immediately, and regulators notice eventually — you do not have a minor support quality issue. You have a liability.

Why I haven't left: our tech team invested significant work integrating Rippling as our identity provider, and unwinding that is non-trivial. That is the only reason. I lean on our AM and TAM constantly, both of whom I know are overworked because they are doing the job the rest of the company isn't. 

If you are in HR and considering Rippling, hear me clearly: this platform is not reliable, and the people selling it to you know that. Their support team will give you wrong answers with total confidence. Their internal teams contradict each other in the same email thread. Their "solutions" to compliance issues have, in my direct experience, created new compliance issues that I then had to clean up myself — while paying them to do that work. You will spend more time auditing Rippling than doing your actual job. You will lean on your account manager like a lifeline because no other part of this company can be trusted to get a basic answer right. I cannot recommend Rippling to anyone, in any industry, at any size. Save yourself the money. Save yourself the hours. Save yourself the regret of explaining to your CFO why the platform you championed cost the company more than it ever saved.

Over time, it displays many errors. I’ve found several problems that seem to come from poor device management at times, and support can take a while to acknowledge the issue and actually resolve it. integrations arent as clear as one would want, the ia support is helfull but take to long to contact the real support sometimes. ux is bad until you understand how rippling structure works

My main problems are managing devices and account settings, and being able to see the device specs and other details. The main benefit is that I don’t need to keep track of all the passwords and settings myself. I really like Rippling's ease of use and intuitive interface. It has a lot of dropdowns, and although some standardization is needed on the front end, everything flows very easily and makes logical sense. I'm also a fan of how Rippling gives me the entire toolset under one management platform. Not only can I manage and deploy devices, but I also have an integrated antivirus endpoint protection program and remote control, which eliminates the need for a separate remote control product. I don't need any additional software to manage the endpoint inventory, as everything is available in one console.

If I was thinking about improving the product, I think that during the training, they could talk more about efficient ways to onboard the users. For some organizations, maybe the onboarding via email doesn't work, maybe it's more of a personal touch.

I love how user-friendly Rippling is. It clearly guides you to the right place, whether you’re looking for pay stubs, submitting a PTO request, or checking your PTO balance. Under the Money tab, you can also see when you’ll receive your next paycheck, which really helps me plan my budget around each cut-off. Requesting manager approval is hassle-free too—you just fill out the “Time off policy*,” select the dates, and add the reason. Overall, it’s really easy to navigate.

There’s really nothing to dislike about Rippling. It’s a complete, all-in-one package.

My experience with Rippling especially with the unified apps provision security groups in Rippling very valuable for my scaling team. It's incredibly helpful that when a customer support agent is promoted to a senior manager track, their platform permissions across our entire software stack update automatically. This feature grants them admin access to our ticketing system and removes them from basic queue chats with just one click, making it easy to manage permissions and ensure secure access. Additionally, configuring our automated corporate Wi-Fi and VPN access profile was fast and efficient. By linking our office network hardware directly to the system's identity management tools, we could set up secure certificates for our entire staff based on their employment status, eliminating the need to ever share our master office password again.

A laptop is being returned by remote employees using the platform prepaid shipping label. The tracking information frequently freezes or fails to update, leaving us completely in the dark about whether a piece of expensive company hardware is lost in transit or sitting in a processing center. I love the interaction with the team members within Rippling. They're eager to help, and if they don't have the answer, they can steer me to the right one. Sometimes it's a collaborative effort because there are a lot of nuanced questions out there. I also like that we have the ability to pull in all of our employees and communicate with them, with all the necessary documentation in such an organized way. Employees can get access to many things, including our EAP, and see their original offer, employment agreement, and pay stubs all in one location. It's awesome. I love a lot about Rippling. The accounting integrations are very good, and using it with tools like QuickBooks, Microsoft 365, and Calendly works great for us. The seamless setup was guided all the way, and Zach from the implementation team did a great job for us. Having everything in one spot in Rippling, from 401k to benefits and pay stubs, is so exciting to have everything accessible in one place.

This feature is invaluable as it helps us prevent missing hardware and lets us always know the status of our equipment, whether still active, broken, or already returned to the supplier. During audits, everything is readily available. Additionally, the setup process for Rippling was quite easy due to many integration options. For example, connecting with Adobe required just a single click to connect the API, which is convenient since Adobe is our primary PDF reader and editor. Lastly, I found the process of connecting our company health saving account (HSA) to be very smooth, with the system automatically linking our banking provider to employee deduction lines, allowing staff to update their pretax contribution limit directly from their personal portals without causing payroll calculation issues.

It gives me what I need on the homepage, so I just click, and I'm done. It's very secure, and I find it really great. Rippling keeps us organized as an organization with HR tasks, and I don't even need to talk to an HR person—I just use Rippling. I like that Rippling has a checklist on the homepage telling me what I need to do and complete, so I don't have to dig for it, and it clears once I'm done. The left-hand navigation also makes it easy to submit time off and get my W-2s or CNA history. It's just not a hard system to navigate. Having these features simplifies my experience logging into the system and accessing the information I need quickly without spending a ton of time.
