"The absolute best"
5/5
What do you like best about Paycom?

I love using Paycom because it makes managing work-related tasks simple and convenient. Having everything in one place allows me to quickly access my pay stubs, tax documents, benefits, and time-off requests without having to contact HR. The mobile app is easy to use, making it simple to clock in and out, check my schedule, and stay organized whether I'm at work or on the go.

Paycom also helps save time by streamlining everyday tasks and giving me more control over my personal employment information. I appreciate how user-friendly and efficient the system is, making it easier to focus on my job instead of paperwork. Overall, Paycom is a reliable tool that keeps me organized and connected to everything I need as an employee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paycom?

While Paycom has many strengths, there are a few drawbacks that some employees and managers experience:

Learning curve: New users may find the system overwhelming because it includes many features and menus.

Mobile app limitations: Although the app is convenient, some tasks are easier to complete on a desktop computer.

Navigation: Finding certain forms or reports can sometimes require several clicks.

Timekeeping issues: If an employee forgets to clock in or out, correcting time punches may require manager approval and can take extra time.

Notifications: Some users receive a large number of reminders or alerts, which can become overwhelming.

Performance: The platform may occasionally load slowly or experience delays during peak payroll periods.

Limited customization: Some workflows and reports may not be as flexible as organizations would like.

Manager workload: Because employees complete many HR tasks themselves, managers may spend additional time reviewing and approving requests.

Training needs: Organizations often need to provide training so employees can take full advantage of all of Paycom's features.

Overall, Paycom is a comprehensive human resources and payroll platform, but like any software, its effectiveness depends on an organization's setup, training, and how well its features match the company's needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One HR and Payroll Platform with an Intuitive, User-Friendly Mobile App"
4/5
What do you like best about Paycom?

What I like best about Paycom is having so many HR, payroll, and workforce management functions available in one place. The platform helps streamline processes by providing easy access to the information and tools employees and managers need without having to navigate multiple systems. I also appreciate the user-friendly mobile app, which makes it convenient to access payroll, timekeeping, and other important features from anywhere. The combination of centralized functionality and a simple, intuitive user experience makes Paycom a valuable tool for our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paycom?

What I dislike most about Paycom is the onboarding and initial setup experience. The implementation team did not fully align the system with our needs from the beginning, which has resulted in significant rework over the years to correct basic setup and configuration issues.

Another challenge was the lack of consistency in account management during the first few years. We experienced frequent changes in representatives, which made it difficult to build continuity and often slowed the resolution of system issues, support requests, and ongoing projects. While the platform itself is strong, a more stable support structure and a more thorough implementation process would have helped us realize its full value much sooner. "Comprehensive, Easy-to-Access HR Solution with Helpful AI Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Paycom?

Paycom is a comprehensive solution with the ability to help employees and supervisors. The new AI widget has also made it easier to find support and understand the information you are looking at. Accessibility across multiple devices helps to make Paycom easy to access and use as both an employee and supervisor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paycom?

The biggest issue I have found with Paycom is the Time Clock application. While trying to run a Time Clock kiosk on an iPad, it can be difficult to setup based on how Paycom requires a link to authenticate, then the active link changes. This makes it cumbersome when trying to use the kiosk in single app mode. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Katie Lenhart of Paycom

We’re glad Paycom’s single‑database platform, accessibility across devices and AI tool IWant™ are helping both employees and supervisors quickly find information and manage daily tasks, Jeremy! Kiosk authentication requirements can vary by setup and device configuration, and sharing details like this helps inform continued improvements as we support accurate, flexible time management across different environments. We encourage you to share additional information with your employer's HR team or by emailing us at feedback@paycomonline.com.

"One Login, Multiple Solutions: Efficient Yet Navigational Challenges"
4/5
What do you like best about Paycom?

I appreciate the continuing improvements Paycom makes in the system, as it's always trying to make it better and more efficient. The most valuable aspect to me is that it's really a one-stop shop for almost everything we do in human resources. I find the fact that it integrates all these functions into one system incredibly helpful, with all systems talking to each other and operating under one login. I'm also really pleased with the ATS because of its tracking; I can log in and visually see everything that's going on in one snapshot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paycom?

I think it's kind of the trail of crumbs. So if I'm in somebody's time card, for example, looking at it, and I wanna look at somebody else's time card, I need to go back kind of to the beginning and search for another person and then go to their time card from their profile. There just isn't an easy way to kind of go from one thing to the other. So sometimes you gotta go it feels like a long way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lacks Basic Features, Clunky System"
1.5/5
What do you like best about Paycom?

There has been a shift in the past month or so for the direction of paycom, the UI, the performance, and in some ways, their support. Lately, I have been please to have additional experts assigned to our account to help us with larger projects and listen to our concerns with the software. I find the new hire queue to be functional and the setup of positions, new hire templates, and some communication templates to be easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paycom?

Paycom's functionality is lacking in most areas compared to other systems. Checks and balances are not usable in real life scenarios, there are so many clicks, the system is disorganized, reporting is lacking, and I also wonder if our dedicated rep is looking out for us in all the ways that they could be, especially when they are provided with feedback. Overall, the system lacks clarity and organization and is missing items that I feel like should be a core feature in an HRIS.

They recently rolled out a new feature that my team was excited for and it was riddled with bugs. The QA before rolling it out live is troubling, especially when you feel like you are getting charged to test their product.

I also hate that I have to lean on one rep for help. I would love to have access to community forums or better admin resource guides, and perhaps have a bigger team of people to help so that we can hear other perspectives. I feel like all changes have to go through our rep, where I would like to opportunity to dig in from time to time.

I dont like the new look either. It looks like it was just made with AI and cheapens the site to me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect way to organize the backstage functions of a job!"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Paycom?

Paycom has a structured way of handling the essential functions of an employees time card, documents, benefits, and continued learning and training that is necessary for the operations of most companies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paycom?

Some things were difficult to find. Like needing to approve our time cards and it wasn't exactly an obvious tab or link to click on to complete the task. I also had a hard time with the constant reminders. Although I do find it important and dedicated to those that need helpful reminders, I found it to be a bit overkill, because not only would my phone get a push notification, I would receive an email as well. "Effective Employee Management with Room for Visual Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about Paycom?

I like how Paycom allows me to change or edit my hours, which is really helpful when I forget to clock in or out, or when the machines at work malfunction. It's also convenient when I'm changing locations and can't manually clock in or out. Plus, I appreciate being able to see how much I'll get paid before the paycheck comes in because it helps me plan my finances sooner and decide if I need to work more hours or make other adjustments. Also, the initial setup was pretty simple for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paycom?

I think it just is not visually appealing, and it was annoying that I always had to sign back in on the app rather than it saving my log in. I just think the website looks dated, colors/fonts/design could be more minimal and modernized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Katie Lenhart of Paycom

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, Esther! We’re glad to hear Paycom has helped simplify time tracking and given you better visibility into your pay. We encourage you to share any additional feedback with your HR team directly.

"Accurate Time Tracking with Clear PTO and Payroll Visibility"
5/5
What do you like best about Paycom?

As an employee user. It tracks my clock in and out and lunch times perfectly. I love that my PTO is listed I can see when I used them and how much time I have left. The same for my sick time. I also love that my payroll documents are there and I can update things as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paycom?

I wish I had access to adjust my times because sometimes I forget to clock in or out and I don't know if that is a feature or if my HR department has it restricted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Katie Lenhart of Paycom

Christine, we’re glad Paycom provides clear visibility into time tracking, PTO balances and payroll documents, helping eliminate guesswork around hours and time off. Timecard edit permissions are set by each organization, and we recommend reaching out to your organization's HR and payroll team for additional information. Thank you for your 5-star review!

"Efficient Payroll Solutions, Needs UI Enhancements"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Paycom?

I really appreciate the full service payroll provided by Paycom, as it's probably the top feature for us. We use it for HR and payroll, and it effectively takes away many manual tasks. I like that we have a great client rep who is very helpful. The payroll suite and applicant tracking are valuable tools because they streamline our processes. Despite some initial hiccups during the setup, I now consider myself a master user and can confidently show others how to use the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paycom?

I wish for several site improvements, like an easier position management tool. Right now, it's very hard to explain to others in my department how it works and it just seems clunky. I wish there was an easy way to vacate a seat or remove someone from the org chart. A better way to provide site feedback or suggestions would be helpful too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexis Correa of Paycom

Thanks for the thoughtful review, Bethany! We’re glad Payroll, Applicant Tracking and your dedicated specialist have helped streamline your HR processes and reduce manual work. It’s great to see you become such a confident user; that’s exactly the experience we aim to deliver.

"Consistent, swift improvements"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Paycom?

Far more user friendly than other systems I've used. Feedback from users seems to be taken seriously and system improvements are frequent and beneficial. Client support is responsive and friendly. The new landing page looks great and is easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paycom?

Email alerts don't usually have links to take me directly to the thing that needs attention. Sometimes the alerts are regarding something I'm unfamiliar with, and it would be helpful for there to be more information about where I'm supposed to find the issue that needs to be resolved. Sometimes the language isn't specific enough: a pop up will say an action is blocked because the status is incorrect, but the field labeled "status" is definitely correct, and it takes a bunch of trial and error to figure out what "status" caused the problem. I would love it if the label of the fields was exactly the same word or language used in every area where that information is used. There's variation from employee forms to reporting and it makes it harder to learn the system. It would be nice if employee birthdate was in the "demographics" form.
