What do you like best about Outreach?

What do you like best about Outreach?

From its simple setup on the admin side, to the ease of use for reps, and control it gives to standarization (all while leaving room for creativity and testing), is unmatched! What do you like best about Outreach?

It is very robust. Lot's of features available that meet our needs and then some. The user face is easy to navigate and is effective for SDR's and AE's to use. Call sound quality is usually pretty good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Outreach?

Even after saving a setting or update to a contact, you have to refresh the page to see the change or update. There are times where screens load slowly. It does require a decent about of administration work to keep everything humming along - but I suppose most tools like this do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?

Outreach helps us efficiently cold call and email. It keeps everyone in the sales organization on the same page across our different channels of out reach. We also use Outreach to manage SDR and AE activity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Outreach has always made it easy to set up and keep track of prospect messaging. It's benefitting me as I write content for our SDR team and create messaging and sequences for them. As a cons of the platform it's the degree of difficulty in understanding how it works and finidng out tips and tricks takes a lot of time. The Outreach University videos are quite lenghty but useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Outreach?

Sales loves it. Great interface for managing contacts. You can drop new prospects into unique sequences for automatic follow-up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Outreach?

The data structure has NO field types, and no unique API field names. Only field names/API names are Custom 1, Custom 2, etc.

All field types are TEXT. No date, boolean, picklist, number, currency, or any other field type. So when trying to connect to another system via API or tool like Tray.io, you need to know the number of the Custom Field name (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4...) because you cannot SEE a unique field name... again, only the "custom" field name.

Label is just what users see

Name is what developers have to deal with (for API connecters or middleware of any kind)

AND if connecting to another system, you have to do a complex routine for EVERY FIELD to convert data TO text fields on the way into Outreach, and back to the field types you need in the other app you're connecting. Absolute nightmare.

There is also a limited one-to-many relationship between accounts and prospects.

It all comes down to Outreach is NOT a CRM or enterprise-level app. Connect it to Salesforce, and you'll be okay. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?

Already stated, but it's great for managing new contacts/prospects for the sales team. If you're an admin, you will be frustrated. The main issue is that you cannot even do custom views on objects. Just move around modules...not fields like SF. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
