What do you dislike about Apollo.io?

While I find Apollo to be a valuable tool, I've noticed that sometimes Sales Navigator's search engine pulls up a few more contacts than Apollo does. Although this isn't a frequent occurrence, it's something to keep in mind. Additionally, when extracting information from contact profiles on devices with less powerful processors, the process can be a bit slow, especially when opening multiple sub-tabs. What do you like best about Apollo.io?

Honestly, what I like most about Apollo is how practical it is in my day-to-day as an AE.

It saves me a ton of time. In one place, I can find the right prospects, quickly understand who I’m talking to, and actually take action without friction.

But the biggest thing is consistency and in sales, that’s everything. Before, I had good intentions with follow-ups, but it was a bit random. Now, I have clean sequences, a real cadence, and I know no prospect falls through the cracks.

It also shifts your mindset. You go from “trying things out” to actually managing a pipeline. You know what you’re doing, why you’re doing it, and you can clearly see the impact on your meetings and deals.

What do you dislike about Apollo.io?

The data quality can be a bit hit or miss. It’s good overall, but you still need to double-check emails or job titles sometimes especially on smaller companies or very recent roles. So it’s not fully “set it and forget it.”

Previous Response: My recent interaction with Apollo left me disheartened. As a paying customer, I discovered that the pricing plan I had subscribed to was now offering more perks at a slightly higher cost. When I approached their support team to upgrade my plan, they declined, citing a rigid policy that tied pricing to the specific terms at the time of subscription. This inflexibility, especially for loyal customers, felt unfair and inconvenient. I believe Apollo should reconsider its pricing policies to provide a more equitable and customer-friendly experience. What do you like best about Apollo.io?

Apollo’s new AI features actually make day-to-day outbound much easier. Researching prospects, writing personalized emails, and building outreach sequences now takes a fraction of the time compared to doing it manually.

What I like most is that everything happens in one place — the AI helps you understand accounts and create relevant outreach without jumping between tools. It feels less like automation and more like having a sales assistant.

What do you dislike about Apollo.io?

One area where Apollo could improve is the number of paywalls across the platform — many useful features feel locked behind upgrades, which can interrupt workflow and experimentation, especially for smaller teams.

I also experienced friction with the email connection setup. The process wasn’t as smooth as expected, and I ultimately had to export leads and use another tool for outreach. Improving email integration reliability and simplifying setup would make the platform much more seamless end-to-end.

What do you like best about Apollo.io?

Since I first started using Apollo.io many enhancements have been added to the application. The overall system is now very powerful and improves the day-to-day efficiency of my work. The contacts database is now even easier to access and search to find a whole host of contact details. There are many features which I do not currently use, however, knowing that they are there and ready to use gives me confidence that I will stay with this product for the foreseeable future. I would be great if there was an additional user subscription level which allowed a very basic access at a much reduced cost. What I dislike about Apollo.io is the duplication of companies and contacts across different filters, which can make list-building inefficient. Additionally, data accuracy has been a challenge.
