This precision ensures that the mobile numbers and email addresses I acquire are correct and verified, making it easier to reach the right decision-makers for my business. The platform's ability to automate tasks related to LinkedIn and email all in one place truly transforms my operations, acting as a game-changer for my business processes. I keep running into a glitch when I use the parallel dialer at a speed setting of five. It causes problems when trying to dial five prospects at once, which disrupts the workflow and makes the experience less smooth. **What do you like best about Apollo.io?**

The combination of a massive verified contact database and built-in sequencing is what keeps me coming back. Instead of juggling three different tools for finding leads, verifying emails, and sending follow-ups, Apollo handles it all in one place  that alone saves a couple of hours every week.

The filters are where it really shines. I can narrow down prospects by industry, company size, job title, and even tech stack, so I'm not wasting time on contacts that were never a good fit. Building a targeted list that used to take half a day now takes maybe 20 minutes.

The email sequencing with automatic follow-ups means I'm not manually tracking who I chased and when. I set the cadence once and Apollo keeps it moving, which has noticeably improved my reply rates just through consistency.

One thing I didn't expect: the Chrome extension is genuinely useful. I can pull up a LinkedIn profile and get contact details and company info without leaving the page, it's small but it adds up.

If you do any kind of cold outreach at scale, it's hard to justify cobbling together separate tools when Apollo does the job end to end.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

The data accuracy is the biggest frustration. Email bounce rates are higher than I'd like. probably 10–15% of contacts have outdated information, which hurts deliverability if you're not scrubbing lists before sending. A more aggressive real-time verification pass before exporting would go a long way.

The interface can get cluttered once you're managing multiple sequences and lists simultaneously. Navigating between campaigns, contacts, and analytics feels like one click too many each time.

Credit limits are a genuine pain point. If you're doing heavy prospecting in a given week, you can burn through your monthly export credits faster than expected and then you're either pausing outreach or upgrading.

The reporting is decent but not deep enough. I can see open and reply rates, but drilling into which specific step in a sequence is causing drop-off takes more effort than it should. Better per-step analytics without needing to export data manually would make optimising sequences a lot easier.

Before Apollo, prospecting meant jumping between LinkedIn, Hunter.io, and a spreadsheet just to build one targeted list  then managing follow-ups manually, which meant leads regularly going cold simply because timing slipped.

We struggled with scattered tools and inconsistent follow-up, but now we can build a verified, filtered prospect list and launch a full sequence in under 30 minutes, which has resulted in more replies, fewer missed follow-ups, and roughly 60% less time spent on the prospecting process overall.

I like the mail sequence feature in Apollo.io because it’s easy to use. I just apply filters, pull the contacts, and push them into a sequence, and around 200 emails go into the sequence. I’ve gotten many leads from this.
Also the Ai intelligence made my mail personalised on next level. Love this

In the basic version, I can only select 25 contacts at a time, which makes it take longer to push my contacts into a sequence.

Problem: Sending personalized cold emails to 200 prospects every day, along with follow-up emails in a sequence, used to take far too much time. On top of that, when prospects were in different time zones, it became really difficult to send emails to each person at the right time. With Apollo io, there’s no hassle at all—it sends personalized emails based on their time zones, and that has benefited me.

The contact search is really goood. I can filter by industry, job title, company size and get a proper list in minutes. Before this I was wasting so much time just trying to find the right person to reach out to. Also the fact that you can set up email sequences directly inside Apollo without needing another tool is genuinely helpful. Everything is in one place and it just makes the whole outreach process a lot faster. Free plan is also decent enough to get started without paying anything upfront.

Honestly the data is not always accurate. Sometimes the email bounces or the phone number is wrong so you still have to verify before actually reaching out which is a bit annoying.

**What do you like best about Apollo.io?**

I like that it’s an easy, quick way to narrow down searches for decision-makers and get verified emails and phone numbers. I use it to find operations managers, IT managers, plant managers, and other decision-makers in manufacturing which my company targets for security installation like surveillance and access control. It’s much easier to reach out this way than trying to rely on company websites or even LinkedIn.

At first, I had a bit of trouble configuring the search parameters for the region I was focusing on, but once I learned how to set up the personas, it became a lot easier. I also like that I could start with the free version to get the hang of it before deciding whether I wanted to pay for the Pro or Organization version.

Recently, in my office, we used Apollo to confirm that a plant manager had changed his publicly listed email to a new one, which was very helpful. For my purposes, it’s most useful for seeing who is currently in a specific role at a company we’re targeting for sales.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

At first, there are a lot of options and additional add-ons to sort through. There are also quite a few notifications prompting you to upgrade right away, which I understand from a business perspective.

I also had to do a bit of research and go through some tutorials to learn how to set the personas and parameters to get good search results. On top of that, I needed to look into how the credits work so I could understand what I was using.  Basically, I had to learn a bit before I could use it properly.

The problem Apollo.io is solving for me has two parts: first, it helps me confirm the name of the person who holds the position I’m targeting at manufacturing companies. Second, it helps me confirm that I have the correct phone number and email address for that person.

I love the breadth of the database; having access to over 275 million contacts with verified emails and direct dials in one place is the backbone of my lead generation strategy. I find the credit-based pricing system confusing and sometimes frustrating, as it can be difficult to predict exactly how many credits I will burn through during a high-volume sprint. The inconsistency in phone number accuracy is also frustrating a lot of times, especially for international markets; I often find that I am spending high-value credits on mobile numbers that turn out to be invalid.

I had a great experience using Apple when I first had to get leads fro LinkedIn to build a B2B pipeline. It was so easy to use and gave quality results for email ID and phone number. Reaching out to CXO, Founding Teams, investors became so easy. I have been frequently using  Apollo for 8-9 months now.

I didn't see any downsides as of now. I have always received really good results.

I use Apollo every day to find and manage new customers across EMEA and the US markets. The interface and overall performance are great because the platform is very easy to navigate and stays fast even when I am handling large lists of leads. I really value the AI and intelligence features, especially the intent signals that helped me identify the right time to reach out to enterprise accounts like Zalando and JD Sports. The integrations are also a huge plus as the tool connects perfectly with Salesforce, keeping all my data synced in one place automatically. The onboarding process was simple to follow, and the support resources made it easy for me to start building a pipeline quickly. Overall, the ROI has been excellent because I reduced my manual research time by 60%, which allowed me to build a $2M+ qualified pipeline and close significant revenue.

One thing I dislike is that when I import data from Sales Navigator, Apollo sometimes changes a person’s job title or company name. That makes the data less accurate, and I end up having to correct it manually. 

Also, the LinkedIn extension doesn’t allow bulk uploads of a large number of leads at once. You can only save 25 people at a time, which feels slow when I’m trying to build a bigger list. 

Another frustrating issue is that when I add multiple people from the same company, the tool asks me to choose the domain every single time. It would be much better if it automatically remembered the domain for that company.

The biggest problem Apollo.io solved for me was a fragmented sales process that relied on too many different tools. A feature I really love is being able to save prospect lists from Sales Navigator directly into Apollo, which has made my prospecting much faster. As a result, I’ve saved about 60% of my manual research time, since the data is already integrated and easy to organize and manage. What I love most about Apollo is that, out of all the tools I use daily for lead generation, it consistently provides the most accurate and up-to-date contact information.

While I find Apollo to be a valuable tool, I've noticed that sometimes Sales Navigator's search engine pulls up a few more contacts than Apollo does. Although this isn't a frequent occurrence, it's something to keep in mind. Additionally, when extracting information from contact profiles on devices with less powerful processors, the process can be a bit slow, especially when opening multiple sub-tabs.

Since I first started using Apollo.io many enhancements have been added to the application. The overall system is now very powerful and improves the day-to-day efficiency of my work. The contacts database is now even easier to access and search to find a whole host of contact details. There are many features which I do not currently use, however, knowing that they are there and ready to use gives me confidence that I will stay with this product for the foreseeable future.

I would be great if there was an additional user subscription level which allowed a very basic access at a much reduced cost. This is because I only get involved in freelance work now (as I'm retired) and do not need to use much of the available functionality.

When you create a list on Apollo.io, sometimes there's a glitch and you're not able to see that list again. It should get automatically saved when the user has applied all the criteria and filters they want, but it doesn't work that way for now. I use Apollo.io for building lead lists, scraping leads, and reaching out to them via emails. Apollo's database has millions of leads, making it really easy to find what we need and gives us thousands of leads that we can use for email and phone number campaigns. I find Apollo.io valuable because it saves us a lot of time; we don't have to spend time building lead lists ourselves. It's really just a click to select and export the leads, and the cost is really cheap compared to hiring a human vendor, which would cost us thousands of dollars. The switch from ZoomInfo to Apollo.io was mainly due to cost efficiency, as ZoomInfo was considerably more expensive. The initial setup of Apollo.io is very easy and very straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

I think the focus of Apollo.io is on building a bigger product with email orchestration and other tools. I would really love if Apollo could only focus on improving the lead database.

The ability to schedule data enrichment to happen automatically is nice. If you are good at prompt writing the ai features are nice too, although in my experience, connecting Apollo to Claude gives you the best results.

As they have added more capabilities some of the options have become more finicky. For example, whether looking for people or companies, you now need to pay attention to what category is highlighted, Total, Net New, or Saved. Some actions will not work with all three options. It's annoying when you are going as fast as you can.

**What problems is Apollo.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I took over a new territory for our company. We have almost no information on the companies and people in the marketplace. I use Apollo.io to find target companies, and executives to target for sales outreach. It's been invaluable in finding the names and contact information for my target audience and is allowing me to reach people faster and easier than simialr tools with which I have experience.

I like the breadth of the contact database, as it allows us to find verified emails and direct dials for very specific personas, such as job title, company size, and tech stack. The sequences feature is solid, with multi-step email, call, and LinkedIn task workflows that are easy to set up, and the analytics provide clear visibility into what's performing well. I find the Chrome extension makes prospecting on LinkedIn effortless. The API is well-documented, and integrating it with our internal tools was straightforward. Overall, these features save money and reduce admin overhead by replacing multiple separate tools and streamline our sales process by allowing SDRs to spend less time researching and more time talking to prospects.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

Data quality is hit-or-miss. Most contacts are accurate but every batch has bounces, outdated titles, or wrong direct dials, so SDRs still have to validate. The dialer quality is okay but not at the level of dedicated tools like Aircall or Outreach. The UI can feel cluttered for new users, takes a couple of weeks to feel comfortable. Pricing for the higher tiers is steep when you scale users. And email deliverability with native sequences sometimes drops if you push volume, would be great if Apollo gave more visibility and tooling around inbox reputation.

I initially started using Apollo.io as a replacement for platforms like ZoomInfo and LeadIQ, and I really like it. It's very easy to use and has a good UX. The database is pretty huge, with great leads that are usable and relevant. I also appreciate that my past leads are auto-saved, and the contact pages are nice. It has a lot of really good use cases, with my favorite being the prospecting tool. The initial setup was pretty simple, especially since I started with the free version, and that ease of use convinced me to buy the subscription.

I believe the general problem with Apollo.io and similar prospecting platforms is the relevance of the information. Sometimes, people leave companies and phone numbers or emails go silent, and those are not updated. Also often the leads are wrong. The numbers are wrong, and you can use credits but they don't lead you anywhere. But there really isnt a fix to this problem.

The best part is that I can reach out to 50 different leads across 50 different organisations, with 50 different intent-based outreach messages.

It’s basically a sales universe: I can build lists and set up different outreach sequences. It also works as a repository, and I really like the waterfall enrichment for finding contact information. On top of that, it feels like a digital room where you can see the conversations teams are having across the organisation.

It integrates seamlessly with Sales Navigator (LinkedIn), Salesforce, and Slack, and it gives real-time notifications in Slack and via email based on any engagement.

Support is great too.

Without Apollo.io, overall performance and business output would have been significantly lower

Apollo's AI Assistant still needs a lot of work. Overall, it feels premature compared to what others are already doing in this space.

The power-dialler also isn’t great. Specifically, it doesn’t consistently add the right information after every call, which makes follow-up and record-keeping harder than it should be.

Navigation and the UI could also be improved. Some parts feel less intuitive than expected, and the overall flow could be smoother.

I've been using Apollo.io to search for leads, contacts, updated emails, and contact details of employees, which has helped me a lot. I love using the Apollo extension on LinkedIn and Google; it's amazing because it helps me get the relevant email IDs and contact details and put them in sequences. The extension also helps update records on HubSpot and enrich data from Apollo. I can see the new companies people have joined on LinkedIn and identify key decision-makers with enriched data in real-time. The initial setup was super easy, just a one-click sign-up and extension download. Apollo.io is probably the best software for list building and everything we do, and it's definitely much better than any other tool we've used. I'm highly recommending it as it makes finding relevant contacts, enriching data, and keeping everything up to date much easier.

Yeah. Sometimes it hangs a bit. So if I'm using Apollo AI on the website, on LinkedIn, on Google, and putting them on sequence, the speed is not up to the task. And, yeah, on the verification, it asks a lot of time. Every day, I have to verify myself that I'm not a robot, which is crazy. There are a lot of credits that get wasted if I need to get an updated contact number. So that can be a bit budget-friendly, that would be amazing.

With Apollo.io, the waterfall feature helps me find the correct information for the POC. Its extension also makes it faster and easier to get the right details directly on the POC’s page. The bulk import of Accounts is another big help, because it lets me pull the POC details from those Accounts without having to search through each one individually, which saves a lot of time. One of the most helpful features for me is that the data I export and import is saved neatly in a tab with the date, so it’s easy to access information I exported, even from a month ago. It also helps us understand whether a number is the POC’s personal number or their professional number.

**What do you like best about Apollo.io?**

For smaller-scale businesses that can't afford to have the best-in-class ecosystem (e.g. Hubspot, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, etc...), Apollo has all the fundamentals:  enrichment, outbound prospecting, rudimentary deal and pipeline management.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

The platform seems like it was built by teenagers that have never used enterprise software or who have never done volume prospecting.  It does a lot, but it does a lot in a half-baked almost-there way.  They've clearly prioritized volume of features over refining things to a high quality level.  I use Apollo because of this - it does a lot of stuff OK, and there aren't too many other vendors that have the same breadth.  But every day there are things that drive me crazy.   It's a junkyard of almost-finished products.

I have mixed reviews on support - when the live reps engage, I've had good experiences - one exchange actually turned into a minor feature request that they implemented in less than a week - that was pretty awesome.  But I hate the AI support agent - it's not trained very well on the Apollo capabilities. I'm assuming that the teenagers haven't really built good documentation as a foundation.

The fundamental Apollo feature is getting prospect data and putting them into sequences.
