Visually, Monday.com is the best project management system I've utilized as a Senior Event Manager. I also love the templates that are ready to utilize, and the widgets you can connect to boards to easily see things like % of completion on a project, charts/graphs, and more. This is the best tool I have for my team to stay on top of big milestones and smaller tasks (things that are easy to forget, but we can't). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm struggling to think of something to say here :) If i had to choose something, I would say time it takes to set up a new project, however, my team uses this for ALL tasks for tradeshows so we likely have more items than the average user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You can keep track of time spend on projects and check where your colleagues are on certain projects.
This helps in assigning projects and creating invoices for our clients. It is very easy to navigate and the automation is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It sometimes freezes when you are trying to archive projects and it is hard to keep certain elements such as timing spend on a project and updates on those assignments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the simple format of the software. It's intuitive and easy to use, even when working with complex data. The software has been essential for remote working across our team.
Use it daily and didn't even need training due to it's ease of use and integration into our internal processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It could include some automated options linked to dates. For example, if using for quartely pipelines, automativally creating a new group for the new quarter based on manual prompts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Monday platform helped our group grow in an orderly manner, monitoring the evolution of tasks and cashflow on a daily basis. With this, we were able to measure the time needed for important actions and how much this required of the team and, consequently, what the added value of this action was. We learned a lot organically and naturally - working daily on the platform and using the "hit and miss" metric. However, when we needed specific technical support for something more complicated in automation, we felt that, at a certain point, we knew as much as the support offered. Since then, we have studied the platform to recognize errors and find solutions internally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Monday is scalable in every respect. We started using it to organize a few projects and events. Very quickly, we began creating a database of our members, then started linking these databases to create comprehensive tools. We began using automations to alleviate administrative tasks. The dashboard feature is fantastic for monitoring all activities for management and administrators. Finally, once integrated with Integromat, the possibilities became endless and are now part of our daily operations and interactions. All this comes with a gentle learning curve that adapts to all users. I was very concerned that some people who are not inclined towards using digital tools would be resistant, but it was quite the opposite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only minor issues are that formula cells cannot be used in automations or integrations, and dates cannot be automatically translated into French in emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It allows our team to get every informations very easily, we've now less emails and a better communication.
We use it every day, it replaces our Excel's board.
Forms to get informations from external people is very useful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some automations are missing and even when you choose to personalise it, it's restricted you can't do everything you want like some other software are offering.
If you want to share a board with someone external who would be able to change it, you have to share all and not only a vu or some colums.
Some columns are not available for now on the form like "rate" etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can collaborate with other team members, cloud base we can access the platform anywhere as long there is internet, easy for anyone to use and learn. it is very scalable, we can make use of it for simple tasks, or make it as complex as we can to create creative solutions. to some degree, some of the more complex solutions require a lot of time for us to invest. we understand that it has the capability and potential for complex solutions, but it does require a more technical skills to produce.
the function of uploading photos / images into the table does not exist! very surprising monday.com does not have it. for certain scheduling needs, still could not replace excel for certain functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's straightforward. It isn't trying to be a database, AI, messenger hub, etc. We needed a platform where my project managers could populate boards with team members, projects, and tasks. We needed the dependencies to work and not need a degree to figure out. Monday.com just works and is easy to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You need to upgrade I believe 1 or 2 tiers up in order to have private boards. I understand the incentive there but other platforms have private boards for free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's pretty clean and somewhat easy to understand. Dark and light theme natively is nice. Having the ability to automate, do different workspaces, and see things at a glance is nice. But there are some MAJOR issues overall with it as a true CRM or Project Management tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
EVERYTHING seems to need an app or integration (3rd party) to make real use of Monday.com. Doing this causes a certain number of "actions" to occur. Sometimes such small things quickly eat up thousands of actions and then your account essentially gets frozen. Same thing with automations, barely doing something triggers so many little micro automations that you blow past the 25,000 on Pro doing minimal automating.
What really grinds my gears is that when you do get basically forced to upgrade to Enterprise, there is NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT PHONE NUMBER to be found. People in chat are slow to respond, and then bounce you around cause they can't give a straight answer. If you want someone to actually respond, good luck. I'm told 3-5 business days to be able to upgrade, but when locked out because of actions or automations triggering, you're toast. Not only will it take forever, they keep sending the same garbage emails saying someone will eventually reach out, whether you do CHAT or EMAIL or FORM. It's awful.
Their automations are also super limited. If you want something like an IF/THEN statement before running an automation, it's basically impossible. You can try to do it through a workflow, but then it doesn't even work properly because they only give you certain automation choices depending on which way you try to automate things. The number of apps you need to do BASIC things is mindblowing. If you want a "timeline" to work properly with start/end dates, you need an app. Then you have to pay for more apps separately. Everything seems super poorly thought out, which is a shame, because Salesforce is much cleaner and all built in, but just costlier. I guess you get what you pay for, but even on Enterprise, you're not saving much money vs competitors. Even costs more than some better options.
It's okay at some things like visuals, but they're not easy to build into widgets for some strange reason. There's nothing intuitive when trying to build processes out. I would personally NOT recommend this to anyone who wants to successfully run their business from a Sales and Project Management perspective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use Monday.com in our everyday work from project management to resources management as well.
It was easy to change and implement Monday in our processes. There are a lot of ways to use and customize Monday.
Producers can easily create a project from a template and there are ways to add information. Thru updates, info tab, master notes etc.
As a production studio, our updates in Monday is a source of truth for all collaborators (Producers, designers and video editors).
It's also easier to integrate the timeline of the projects with the resource timeline we have separately. We use Monday.com to put our leaves and see what projects we are scheduled on our own calendars in Monday.com.
I also use the mobile app which is really helpful when I'm outside and cant bring my laptop. I can easily track updates. And Monday can be easily connected to slack and email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
None so far. Monday's customizable environment was amazing. I guess when boards become too heavy/crowded, the site would lag sometimes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
