When we started using Monday's Work Management it was small projects here and there. As we became more accustomed to the tools we began to expand to the point now every department has multiple boards that help with managing workflow through their departments. The automations help us daily figure where our shortfalls are and what deadlines are upcoming that still need worked on. In our quoting department we have intergraated our quoting in with our Outlook which has helped us keep track of which quotes are still needing to be worked on. The learning curve to become fluent can be daunting at times. The learning modules are helpful, but it sometimes is hard to find time during the day to fit them in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Using monday feels very familiar to excel with its use of tables. The categorization and customization available helps to create boards specific to each use case we have. From tracking workflows and customer leads, we are able to do it all through monday. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The mobile app is not the most helpful tool when needing to get information or look at a board. It feels clunky in comparison to using the web version, which can be frustratingn at times when I do not have immediate access to my computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In my role it's extremely important to continously update and note specfics about the members in our community database. We use Monday to nuture and organize the data we learn from each of our members. This helps us connect members with the right oppurtunities and connect with them on a more personal level. The seamless integration Monday provides makes this possible! We use if often, and implement it with each project! It's very easy to use and customer support is excellent! The only downside is truly bias! I wish the time tracking tool was in the lower tiered version! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Monday is very easy to use and can be adjusted to the needs of any company or person. In addition to having a wide range of tools, it is also visually appealing, which helps make it a very persuasive tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I don't like about Monday is that at the beginning it can be complicated to understand and despite having tutorials, it is not clear enough. In the part of creating a CRM, it is still a bit complex and a specialized CRM is still better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing my team really appreciates is how Monday.com allows us to breakdown bigger projects into smaller assignments, and subtasks. It’s nice to see each step laid out on a timeline—knowing what’s due and when helps us avoid last-minute stress. The calendar view for my workload is also super practical because it shows all my tasks for the week. This way, I know when things are piling up and can plan accordingly, or work with my team when I'm overloaded so we can meet deadline and manage client's expectations.
The automations are another solid feature. We’ve set up automations for recurring tasks, like weekly social posts, so they’re ready to go without us needing to create them everytime. It’s a small thing, but it saves time and keeps everything moving along. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Monday.com does have a few quirks. Sometimes tasks don’t show up in my workload unless I “favorite” the workspaces they were created in – which isn't very intuitive.
Also, it can be tough to keep up with all the new feature rollouts and figure out what will actually help us. It’s a little tricky to know if we’re getting the best out of the platform with all the updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Monday.com has been invaluable for keeping me organized with tasks and finances. It allows me to design custom workflows that perfectly suit my requirements, making daily management more efficient. The platform is user-friendly, requiring no technical skills. One of the standout features is the Advanced Reporting and the dynamic dashboard that updates automatically with any changes. Additionally, the 24/7 customer support and insightful live webinars have been essential in helping me maximize the tool’s benefits for my team’s needs! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The mobile experience falls a bit short, as the app doesn’t quite meet my expectations in terms of flexibility. I feel the task section could benefit from some improvements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've tried a lot of differnet productivity apps and even paid for lifetime memeberships for some but I keep coming back to monday.com becuase it is so well laid out, it's intuitive, and the learning curve is not nearly as steep as any other producitivy app I've tried. Also, the capabilities, integrations, and automations really make monday.com incredibly powerful. I could honestly go on for quite a long time about everything I love in Monday.com but that would make this review far too long. So I will simply say try it out for a few days and try to get through the learning curve (which really isn't hard) and see if it works for you. I use it for all of my businesses and it has been awesome! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest drawback for me is the price. It's very annoying that you can't sign up for just 1 seat because then I would say it's much mroe reasonably priced. I don't need the other 2 seats so it makes no sense why I should pay for it. I also wish it had a better spreadsheet integration/function. But I may not have learned enough about the platform to figure out the best way to do this. At the moment I use a Google Sheets integration and its a bit clunky but does work. There’s a lot to like with monday.com. We use it everyday as our core management system that keeps track of all of our work items.
One of the reasons that Monday.com works well for us is that our work items usually follow a pipeline process, where some items require other teams to collaborate. With Monday.com cross-board automation, this is a breeze. Simply changing the status on one board auto-magically creates and connects items on other boards. The friction in moving work items between teams has been eliminated.
There is no limit to what you can do with automation, especially with custom ones. It uses basic English to create if-this-then-that workflows that just work. Automations have eliminated a lot of copy-pasting and manual labor. Once set up, creating an item with all the necessary sub-items and tasks is just one click. This really is the best feature of Monday.com. The new automation view is much neater as well. Very easy to create and view automations.
Another underrated feature is the search everything feature. As the name suggests, it really does search everything. Sometimes, you can’t recall where an item is. With this feature, searching is a lot easier.
Integrations are also amazing! We use it mostly with Slack and Gmail to send notifications or to create items on the boards, respectively. They've recently added a feature that allows you to reply to mentions and items directly from the Slack app!
Previously, we reached out to customer support for an issue we were facing. They responded fairly quickly and set up a meeting with us. The representative was very professional and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Given the size of some of our boards, monday.com tends to slow down at times. We were also facing an issue with automation failing. While we were able to see at what step they failed, the error was not really helpful. Turns out that if a user is deactivated from the workspace and an automation tries to assign that user to a people column with an automation, the automation outright fails. This is to be expected, but the error message was generic, and we had to figure this out on our own. Although a very niche case, but it did cause some work items to get missed. Monday.com has been a game-changer for our team's project management. It's super easy to get started with and use, which is great for everyone on the team, no matter their tech skills. The different views it offers make managing projects at all levels seamless and tailored to what we need.
My favorite part is how it integrates with email—it's awesome being able to organize and keep all our email discussions neatly tied to the right project tasks. Plus, the automation features are a lifesaver for keeping everything running smoothly and on schedule.
Overall, Monday.com has really boosted our productivity with its user-friendly interface, customizable views, handy email integration, and powerful automation tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the main drawbacks is that the formulas and calculations within the platform aren't as intuitive or robust as I'd like. For more complex calculations or specific data manipulations, we sometimes find ourselves resorting to Google Sheets to get the job done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We were one of Monday.com's early adopters...back when it was called "dapulse." So glad they re-branded. ;) Our original draw to the platform was its insane simplicity and usability, which helped our team of Luddites (I say this in love) fully adapt to actually using the tool. Also, I have literally seen every suggestion we've ever submitted for platform enhancements find their way into Monday's product roadmap and consequently the platform, which is huge. They truly listen and deliver! It's a much more robust tool today than when we first became users, but the functionality doesn't hamper the simplicity of the interface. If I had one gripe, it would be that the platform is much more expensive than when we joined. It's still worth it, especially with all the enhancements they've made. And when compared to other project management platforms, it's still highly affordable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
