I love the way that work management can be used for a number of features inc project management, Assist management, Employee resource management. I was introuduce to the product as part of my companys migration from one business to another. At the time I didnt like Monday.com due to lack of understanding and training in a very stressfull situation. Last year my boss tasked me with becoming the Monday.com expert for our business. This was the start of my transformation to a Monday.com lover. I am so happy with the ease of use in setting up a number of different boards across muiltiple departments. I am now in the process of rolling out Monday.com Work Management out across the rest of the business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes I find the notification to be to many causing the wider network to turn off to them and almost automatically delete them. Myself inclueded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At Ampere, our mission is to bring STEAM education to rural, remote, and Indigenous communities across Canada. With limited resources but ambitious goals, we needed a project management tool that could help us work as efficiently as a for-profit business while staying focused on our mission to make a meaningful impact.
Monday's Project Management tool has become the backbone of how we run our operations, from program delivery to donor management to tracking our social impact. Specifically for our team that has grown rapidily post-pandemic, it’s been a game-changer in aligning our team, streamlining processes, and ensuring we have the shared view of work from any location, which was a pain point when everyone all of a sudden worked remotely. Now we have that shared view and common processes, that make it easy to know the status of everything in play!
One of the biggest boosts for us has been the WorkForms feature. With multiple teams working across different areas—programs, fundraising, operations, —tracking requests did not exist, responsibilities were unclear on task assignments. So now we all use WorkForms for all new incoming work requests or projects, and everything is automated, tracked, and connected, so there’s no more missed requests.

Custom Support has been good, despite the limitations of the plan available for Non Profits.
Implementation and intergation has been a relatively low lift, with a semi formal change management approach and ongoing intenal coaching on process development and sharing of tips & tricks on the platform.
We are up to 70% adoption in just over 1 year, across all departments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The learning curve for customization and setting up workflows takes time, but it's worth it. You’ll need to invest some effort upfront to learn and test a few automations before you can be confident that you are not missing updates/changes/dates/or tasks.
Some of the most powerful tools (like detailed user permisions and deeper analytics) are locked behind higher-priced plans which not for profits can get but they pay full price (no discount), so being creative and flexible has led to the best results in board designs.
If your team frequently works in remote areas with spotty connectivity, you might need to use offline mode, and most updates will get posted when back online. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
s a Fractional HR manager and business owner, I've been using Monday.com for over five years, and it has been a game-changer in how I manage my business and support my clients. How I Use Monday.com
Recruiting & Onboarding
Monday.com simplifies recruiting by allowing me to create detailed workflows for each stage of the hiring process. From tracking candidates’ progress to automating follow-ups, I can manage it all in one place. Onboarding new hires is just as seamless with customized templates that keep everything organized and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

My clients use Monday.com for onboarding, project management, offboarding, and even new hire communication. I customize boards to match their needs, making it easy for them to stay on top of their business operations.

Monday.com is also my go-to for keeping an eye on my business's financial health. I track revenue streams and client billing, ensuring that I always know where I stand. The visual dashboards make it easy to see everything at a glance.
Storing Brand Assets
I love using Monday.com to store my brand assets. Logos, templates, and marketing materials are all neatly organized and easily accessible, saving me time and ensuring consistency.

Honestly, there’s not much to dislike about Monday.com—it’s an incredible tool! But if I had to pick one thing, it would be the process of setting up connections between boards. While the functionality is powerful and allows for great automation and cross-board collaboration, I’ve found it to be a bit tricky and time-consuming at times.
That said, once the connections are in place, they work seamlessly, and the platform is still one of the most user-friendly tools I’ve ever worked with. It’s a small trade-off for the immense value Monday.com brings to my business! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
monday.com has completely changed the way we work, in the best way. We first started using monday.com 3 years ago for task management. Granted, we didn't really have a similar tool in place at the time (not sure how). Now, we do pretty much all of our task management / internal review processes / campaign management in monday.com. Boards are incredibly easy to set up, edit, and customize. Pretty much everything in monday.com is very user-friendly and intuitive. Everyone on our team loves it. Over the years, I've also come to appreciate how a lot of documents, conversations, etc. now live in monday.com even after team members leave, rather than being forever hidden in their email inboxes. There honestly isn't really anything that I dislike about monday.com. It has been such a positive and helpful addition to our workflows. I haven't really ever had any issues with it in the 3 years we've used it. I've had a few small issues/questions, and the chat support is super helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Monday.com is extremely intuitive and covers a great deal of project management needs. While it might be slightly difficult to navigate at first, once you get a system up and running for yourself, it is easy to use and replicate. Automation and integrations with Monday are seamless, and their customer support is there to assist if you are struggling with making a particular system, view, etc work for you. It can be difficult to get it off the ground. You get decision fatigue because there are SO many different things you can use with their system. Once you get past that, you will be in great shape! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Monday has been an incredibly helpful tool for collaborating across departments. The user interface is streamlined and easy to use, with an incredible degree of flexibility based on the individual needs of each stakeholder. Customizing each board based on what it is tracking has been easy and effective. Even visually, the platform feels sleek, approachable, and modern. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Because there are so many possible functionalities, there is a bit of a steep learning curve initially. Setup takes some time for any sizeable organization, and training takes quite some time as well. Because new capabilities are often being added, continuing education should just be expected. monday.com excels in its flexibility and ease of use, allowing teams to customize workflows for nearly any project type. The visual interface, with color-coded status updates and drag-and-drop functionality, makes tracking progress intuitive and efficient. Its integration with tools like Slack, Google Drive, and Zoom streamlines communication and document sharing, reducing time wasted on switching between platforms. Automations, such as task reminders and status updates, save our team hours of manual follow-ups and ensure nothing slips through the cracks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While monday.com is highly functional, the learning curve for advanced features like automations or creating custom dashboards can be steep for new users. Additionally, as projects grow more complex, boards can become cluttered, making navigation less seamless. The pricing structure can also be a challenge for smaller teams, as some features require upgrading to higher-tier plans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Simple and easy to use - I'm updating our boards daily. I was able to jump in without training and create tables, dashboards and submission forms, and their online help and training make it easy to find the tools you need. Great for multiple applications - we mainly use for tracking sales prospects and managing marketing requests. Multiple field/column types allow for us to customize to our needs. Widgets make creating a dashboard super easy. In comparison to other systems I've used, monday.com is much more aesthetically pleasing with colorful fields and overall layout. Some of the fields (status) have a limit on the number of labels you can add. We ran into an issue when trying to create a client field because we have more than 40 clients and that was the limit. So we ended up creating two columns with A-L and M-Z, which works but is not ideal. Could also use some sorting options for editing labels - they are easy to move around, but if you could sort alphabetically, that would be great.
The sorting feature could use some tweaking as well as it will apply to the entire table, not just within the groups. If I sort by one column in the top group, it will apply to all the groups.
I would also like a field that allows you to select a date from the calendar OR enter text. We have some fields (presentation date) that were set up as a date field, but we may have a range for a particular prospect (week of April 1st) rather than a set date. I've had to transition several date fields to text, which isn't nearly as convenient as selecting from the calendar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The fluiditiy of the platform is nice, being able to update project status and boucning it between team members helps us be more efficient. It's helpful to keep track of deadlines and to keep projects moving for clients that can sometimes take weeks or months to respond. We went from using an excel spreadsheet to Monday.com and it was a a massive upgrade, while also being easy to implement. Customer support is responsive in the few instances where we had a performance issue. We use the platform daily to manage all of our projects. We have not integrated Monday.com with any other services but from what I understand, it would be easy to integration with our email service provider to make tracking even more seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They require a higher tier of service to include time tracking. We don't need anything else in that tier of service besides time tracking so I wish they would offer that in the lower tier that we're currently using. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how not only you can customize boards but they have a wide variety of templates to help you get going. Any project can be tackled in Monday. Plus you can connect with Zapier and Slack and add even more automation. They have fun visuals and goal tracking (check out the llama farm for a smile). It's vital to our team's projects to collaborate and track progress with Monday. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't been able to fully utilize it as a task list for me. I've tried and it just hasn't fit. I'd love to be able to more easily pull assigned tasks from any board I've been assigned a task for so I can see it all together. I am on a lot of boards from several departments and I just need a better way to visualize it all together and find who assigned me what and update my progress faster. I spend a lot of time digging through notifications and boards to find stuff. It might just be me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
