Product itself is a very user friendly software. Laserfiche Answers is always good for finding help online. For continual training - there are ebooks, on demand webinars and certification courses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not many complaints here - maybe the different set ups for the Desktop and then the Web Client. Training on both can sometimes be confusing with buttons in different places. OCR with Excel we had some issues with but got a work around. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Laserfiche is a great tool for automation and retention. The limits of what you can do with it is really the limit of someone's imagination. Very customizable and even people who are not highly technical can find success working with Laserfiche. Customer support is usually really good as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A bit expensive. Sometimes the ala-cart module options can be confusing. It's nice to not have to pay for things you aren't going to use, but if you have most of the modules like we do, it can be a little tricky to navigate all of the systems to see how they are working together. Sometimes the repository searches are slow. The company is really pushing cloud for all of it's users, but cloud does not offer all of the feature and integration options as an on prem setup does. Upon first glance most believe Laserfiche is simply a repository for records (especially with municipal government), but my favorite part is the automation that can be so simply/easily implemented. I believe with Workflow and Forms I can certainly improve any process, and for the most part can fully-automate it. I am not full-time IT, and yet I have been able to become proficient in the behind the scenes work to improve the work life for fellow staff, the electeds, and even the public. I really dislike their different licensing formats with Rio, Avante, etc. These random words are thrown around as if we all understand and yet that is the hardest information to find. Because of the different licensing options with in these formats, I will find staff frustrated that they cannot be full users rather than participants for simple things. That said, if we were able to have one or two full-time Laserfiche programmers in the city, we would be able to set up plenty of forms and workflows to eliminate the need for staff to directly interact with Laserfiche Client. Laserfiche takes the guesswork out of managing your documents. It shines a light on the benefit of a centralized document management system versus a network drive or other cloud-based storage. I also like the automation aspect, that is available in Workflow, that automates file storage and records management in the repository, and the automation found in Forms that automates the processing of forms, and their movement from person to person in an organization. Nothing, I love this product. It has been a lifesaver for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My favorite Laserfiche product has to be Workflow. It us so much more robust and flexible than workflow products that ship with our other applications, specifically PowerSchool BusinessPlus Erp. Creating a workflow in LaserficheWorkflow is easy with its drag and drop features. It provides such a wide variety of tasks that is our go to product to provide integration with other systems to add functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Each year there are upgrades to the software which provide beneficial enhancements. Not like other software vendors who simply repackage their 'fixes' as new upgrades. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to customize workflows and forms to meet our district's unique needs. Laserfiche’s automation features save us countless hours, and its integration capabilities allow us to seamlessly connect with other systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Initial setup and customization can be complex, and some features require technical expertise. However, the community support and resources make it easier to overcome these hurdles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
More than just a repository, Laserfiche has provided business automation tools through forms, workflows and various document capture options. They are always expanding their features and usability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the upgrades will disrupt workflows. It can also be a lot for new users to learn, but Laserfiche provides a lot of free training videos and documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Laserfiche is an extremely robust solution, allowing us to create solutions for every business process challenge we've tackled to date. The company is extremely responsive, with an active online community. If you have any doubt, Google "Laserfiche Answers" to see the quantity and quality of information available. If you don't have any coding knowledge, you can still create simple forms/processes. But if you do, this product allows you to get super fancy with your designs. We regularaly use Laserfiche Forms, Laserfiche Workflow, and Laserfiche Repository. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I can think that Laserfiche could improve on is the ability to link separate business processes together (to run together or otherwise link). The ability to launch one business process from within another would be a game changer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a few things that I like about Laserfiche. One would be the common sense logic that it uses for all of Laserfiche's suite of products. I inherited my company's Laserfiche environment from the previous system administrator and it was very easy to get up to speed with running Laserfiche. You can do anything and everything from an automation standpoint that you need to do. The other thing is Laserfiche's extensive list of support and resources for people such as myself, who never had that much experience with the software and can reach out for assistance at any given time. Not only that, but all of the resources are top quality and reputable. I am very big on customer service and Laserfiche marks very high in that regard. Our organization uses Laserfiche daily and it has become very integral in all of our day-to-day tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some things in Laserfiche are stand alone and it would be nice to have a central hub for everything. Just how the Laserfiche repository holds all the data there, it would be nice to have an admin console that controls all aspects of the Laserfiche environment in one place. The only other thing would be with the elearning platform that there should be a standard Laserfiche course that is offered to all of its customers. I think this would help in giving everyone the same ground level experience and similar point of reference with Laserfiche users. As well, this would help promote the Laserfiche learning tracks to become certified Gold, Platinum or whatever. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's user intuitive, makes things more efficient and they consistently strive to make things better for the consumers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the product offerings are only with monetary purchase. Not the best for government on a limited budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No mattery what issue/task/problem my departments come to me with, I can immediately find a way for Laserfiche to solve it. Laserfiche has near limitless "solvability" built into it. Ranging from simple forms that collect simple data, to advanced forms that execute workflows that store data in tables and then creates a customized PDF based on a template and word merge fields.
Outside of public-facing interactivity, it also has the ability to automate redundant tasks inside the repository.
This software has saved The City of Arlington hundreds of hours of manual processing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Unfortunately as much as I want to love the modern designer, it simply does not have the functionality as the classic designer. CSS and JS cannot transition 1 to1, and so I am continually forced to work in the classic designer - which is not a bad thing as that is what I was "brought up" on. I hope LF 12 allows classic CSS and JS code to transition seamlessly to the modern designer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
