**What do you like best about Justworks?**

You can easily onboard employees and contractors alike. Their customer service is very friendly and they try their best to address your concerns.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

Renewal rates were super high. This also meant that no other PEO would work with us so we essentially left with little options for large group plans. Fortunately we found comparable plans on the open market for less than the new rates and ended up dropping the use of benefits through Justworks, otherwise our very small non-profit would have been bankrupted. Software is often slow to load. It would be nice if the Quickbooks connection in someway reflected the memos that were input; we work primarily with contractors (who do work across departments) so it's not necessarily easy to classify each transaction automatically.

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have over 1,000 contractors and it works well to pay and manage them all.

What I like best about Justworks is how user-friendly it is, even for a company based outside the U.S. The exceptional support team really makes a difference, providing outstanding assistance whenever needed.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

I don't dislike anything, it just takes a while for us to learn the ins and outs of a US provider.

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Justworks is solving the challenge of managing HR and compliance. As an EU-based company, we appreciate how they make everything clear and understandable, eliminating the need for a separate HR advisor. This simplicity and transparency allow us to focus more on our core business rather than getting bogged down in complex HR matters. Additionally, their reliable support ensures we’re always up-to-date with regulatory changes, giving us peace of mind. With Justworks, we feel confident that our HR processes are streamlined and fully compliant, enabling our team to operate smoothly across borders.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

Justworks is a streamlined, user-friendly platform that makes managing payroll, benefits, and compliance surprisingly accessible for small teams. I appreciate how intuitive the interface is — everything from onboarding to accessing paystubs or benefits documents is straightforward, and their customer support is consistently responsive and helpful. The benefits offerings are strong for a platform at this scale, and the centralized dashboard helps keep key HR functions organized in one place, which has been a real time-saver.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

There are some limitations. Reporting options can feel a bit rigid — especially if you’re trying to extract customized or more nuanced employee data. Occasionally, system updates roll out without much notice, which can disrupt routine workflows. While the platform is great for standardized needs, it doesn’t always offer the flexibility or granularity that growing teams may eventually require. Overall, it’s a solid tool, but with room to grow as its user base becomes more complex.

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Justworks is solving the problem of having to manage multiple complex HR systems separately — like payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and employee onboarding — by bringing them all into one centralized, easy-to-use platform. This has been a major benefit in terms of saving time, reducing administrative errors, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, especially when working across multiple states. It also simplifies access to high-quality benefits that would otherwise be difficult or expensive for a smaller team to secure on their own. Overall, it’s taken a lot of the guesswork and manual tracking out of HR tasks, which has allowed me to focus more on the people side of things rather than the paperwork.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

I love the HUMANS at Justworks! 9 times out of 10 when you reach out via email or phone, someone goes above and beyond to respond to your inquiry / question / concern. The resource support pages are updated and the newsletters they put out are always timely and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

I'm sure with any newer tech, there are plenty of bugs. Unfortunately it seems that Justworks has prioritized partnerships and integrations over making improvements to their own system capabilities. For a smaller organization Justworks is not sophisticated enough to replace a robust HRIS leaving our small staff (and small budget) looking for multiple solutions.

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an HR team of one, Justworks increases my capacity by acting as our insurance broker and payroll provider all in one. The compliance expertise they provide also saves me a lot of time researching new legislation.

platform is super user-friendly—everything from running payroll to setting up benefits is straightforward. Employees seem to like it too, which is always a plus.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

the reporting features feel a bit basic, and businesses that need more in-depth insights might find them lacking. Adding more flexibility here would be a game-changer.

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’ve found it super convenient for handling all my payroll and tax documents. Recovering my W-2 at tax time was a breeze—I just logged in, and it was right there, ready to download. No back-and-forth with HR, no waiting on emails. The same goes for pay stubs and benefits info—it’s all in one place, which makes life so much easier. I also like that if I ever have a question, their support team is quick to help. Honestly, it takes a lot of stress out of the admin side of work!

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

Justworks team members support each other, so we always get a quick response and resolve questions or issues. They are knowledgeable and friendly. The system is very user-friendly for managing our employees and year-end requirements. We process four payroll cycles and handle our 1099 vendors and contractors, including international, with ease. They take care of the 1099s, so we do not have to worry about them.

I dislike that this won't let me say none.

All of the administrative tasks are handled easily within their platform, and the staff assists immediately and intelligibly when necessary.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

I find that the layout of both the Web and mobile App versions are intuitive and allow the user to quickly navigate between different sections as necessary. One of the greatest features is the customer support function – if ever any of our employees has a question about benefits or any other aspect, the Justworks team is available and super helpful.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

I find that if we don't elect to use a module, it still prompts users from time to time – I wish it would just hide that section from user view.

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a global company with presences in the U.S., France, and Philippines. We also manage contractors throughout numerous other countries, including India and Argentina, and the system is super intuitive to help keep everyone aligned on the same processes and payment program.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

It is incredibly easy to use. When I have had issues, their customer service always responds promptly and resolves the issue. It also integrates with our accounting software, Sage Intacct, which has saved a lot of posting and reconciling time on our end.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

I didn't like the 401k provider they worked with (Slavic), but they just dropped them and moved to a different provider (Empower)!

We are a small office with no physical HR staff, so Justworks is serving as our back office HR and ensuring we stay compliant with laws and regulations.

As an employee, Justworks is a great platform, very easy to navigate and easy to find important information quickly, like W-2 information or paystubs.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

I'm not sure if this is relevant but I do not like that the Clock-in app (Open Shifts) is a separate platform.  I wish it was all in one site and easy to move from one to another without having to go to a different website, at least that's how I use it right now.  I also am not fond of having to get a code from my phone every now and then, but that's how security is these days, so I tolerate it.

I like how I can quickly access my benefits when needed.  I also like how everything is in one place and easy to find.

I like the feature to be able to see my companies time off as well as the links to my benefits in one place. The platform is easy to use and customer support has been helpful when I have reached out.

Having to log into the app to be able to see my companies day off. It is not super clear also about who to contact if I have questions about my bonus taxes

What I like most is how easy theor site is to use. Very straightworad. In adition, if I have any problem, I can call my represenataive, Joe, and he  immediately responds and takes care of any issue I have.

I mean this sincerely, but we rarely have any issues with Justworks.

They are helping me implement the HSA and FSA features to my team. In addition, they always help me look for ways to reduce my benefit costs to my employees.

Our CSM we got put with is okay with assisting.  One thing I specifically asked for is quick turnaround and efficiency on support.  I feel like he could do better.

I appreciate that everything is really transparent and easy to handle. As an admin, I can monitor and review all the details and update the necessary details as needed with a streamlined flow.

We are a small business at the moment and probably don't use all Justworks features, so it might feel "bigger" than us right now.

I had never heard of Justworks prior to my current company, but I love it! It's very intuitive and easy to navigate. Whether reviewing my paycheck, submitting/approving PTO, enrolling in benefits, or even submitting a customer service ticket (for benefit changes due to a QLE), it is always so easy!

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

Trivial, but it seems like I almost always have to do 2FA even though I select 'trust this device for 30 days'.

Justworks is very easy to use and keeps all our employees documents and information conveniently located in one place. The customer support is pretty great, they answer all my questions and are able to help solve problems I am unsure about.

I am disappointed by the training options. I feel like there should be more. The whole training section is weird and confusing and could be better developed.

There was a data control issue last year. Tax & benefit teams are not as strong as payroll teams.

Simplicity. Way easier to navigate than ADP, which does a horrible job of getting you the most common information, such as paystubs. Easy also to find documents. Does not crash like ADP because it is more text-based, whereas ADP using applets that often crash.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

Doesn't show employee benefits and is not easy to find. There is no ability to get an alert when a certain number of hours worked is reached.

Ability to enter hourly wages, documents required for employment.

Justworks offers a user-friendly portal that allows easy access to and review of current and past pay stubs. A system that is simple, clear, and reliable. I appreciate the features such as the Company Calendar, Time Off, and Benefits.

Their software is great. Obviously the core competency, and they have the best platform we've tried.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

Horrible customer service, horrible benefits administration.

Justworks doubled our benefits costs after the first year (literally DOUBLED). We were under the impression that the point of Justworks was for a small company to share benefits with others, but I know other people who use Justworks for their company and their benefits didn't double in cost. 

We asked to cancel our account and they slow played it long enough to claim it was too late to cancel and we'd have to pay them another month. 

Once we finally got them to agree to accept our cancelation of benefits, they told us they'd still have to charge us but they'd refund us a month later (we're talking about thousands and thousands of dollars at this point).

We were looking for payroll, benefits and EOR.

I like that it is easy to use. I love getting email reminders. Amazing support at answering questions or getting on a call. It was easy to change and implement from a payroll vendor to a PEO system. I use it daily. It has so many features. Overall, it's very easy to use, intergrate and apply it to our company.

Since the start everything is good; no complaints.

We reviewed the top PEOs and Justworks stood out from the start. Almost a year in, we're thrilled. Great onboarding. Great ongoing support. Response times are solid. Zero issues.

We've had no issues. Anything we have raised as a question was fully and easily addressed.

The insurance options are great, and provide us national coverage at a fraction of the cost we paid before. The expense management and PTO/Sick time solution is so easy and included in the cost.

I switched to Justworks from another leading PEO in January this year.  I love their per employee pricing because it will save me about $20,000 per year in payroll fees.  I have a small company and also get my health insurance through them.  They were able to work with my current 401K provider and submitting payroll is super easy.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

Healthcare is expensive.  That is all. The rest is easy

The convenience of being able to out to our dedicated Justworks representative.  We usually get a quick and detailed response as well as able to follow up with questions.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

One minor thing would be that our employer paid 401k payments do not show up on paystubs or payroll journals.  We do have our 401k plan outside of Justworks and thankfully able to at least print a report.

Justworks allows businesses to outsource complex and time-consuming administrative tasks so they can focus on growth and productivity. Justworks offers seamless payroll processing, automated tax filings, and direct deposit features. Justworks provides businesses access to a wide range of employee benefits—such as health insurance, 401(k) plans, and commuter perks—by pooling clients together to negotiate competitive rates. Justworks provides HR tools, onboarding support, and expert guidance on employment laws and regulations.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

Issuing of Certificate of Insurance thru the Justworks portal takes a long time vs. having a dedicated insurance broker.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

Nearly all of my interactions with the Justworks staff have been 5-star worthy. They are quick to respond, professional, detail-oriented, and stay engaged until a question or an issue is resolved. The product and service are competitively priced for a small business to provide standard PEO services in an effective way. The user interface is reasonably intuitive for both administrators and employees, and help is a quick chat away.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

Options for insurance providers and plans are limited. Getting answers and resolution for out-of-the-ordinary issues can take a lot of time and coordination among multiple parties, particularly when the issue is with a benefit vendor contracted through Justworks. When hiring employees from a new state, there is no automatic check that pre-selected insurance plans are valid for the new state and correcting an invalid selection (through no fault of the employee) was unnecessarily challenging.

We needed a means of handling payroll and benefits for US-based staff. Justworks has been a good fit for our size and circumstances.

I appreciate how easy Justworks is to access, whether from my PC or the mobile app. I frequently use it to quickly look up benefits, and the convenience makes managing everything simple and efficient.  As an end user it is easy to use, it was easy to set up and as mentioned is easy to navigate.  I have not had to reach out to customer support so that is a good thing as well.

I find it hard to remember where to go when I have to update my direct deposit disbursements.  It is not in an intuitive spot.  Other than that I find everything else easy to navigate.

Justworks simplifies benefits administration, employee records management, time tracking, and payroll, making it easier to handle all HR-related tasks in one place. This saves time, reduces administrative burden, and ensures accuracy, which benefits both employees and administrators.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

JustWorks is clean-cut, and easy-to-navigate. It's a perfect HR software for small-to-medium businesses. It centralizes all professional and personal information for the user with fantastic  (but, not over-the-top) UI designs.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

There's not a whole lot to dislike about JustWorks, but if I were to be a little nitpicky I do not like the PTO reques workflow. I think there could be enhancements regarding time avaialble and time used. For instance, when I have time off requests pending, it doesn't calculate that into my time off available so I think I have more time than available. When that's the case, I have to math myself. Again, not a huge crutch, but something that could be easily solutioned for.

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm an enduser of JustWorks. I get to view my company's directory and organizational structure, calendar, training, and documents. On my personal side, I can see and configure my pay as well as time off requests.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

UPDATE - My favorite thing now, years after writing this first review, is the customer service we get with the JW team.  For example, I mentioned that a recent change they had made to one of the buttons in the payment center created a challenge for me, and they changed it back to what it had been before a few days later.  It's incredible to me that they listened, recognized that the change they made was asthetic only, and limited functionality...and then fixed it.  We also have gotten so much support from JW with navigating a recent employee termination among so many other things over the years.  We love Justworks!  
This platform saves me and my team SO MUCH time!  It used to take my team about a half-hour to log their time weekly, and it took me over two hours to get our payroll done bi-weekly.  Now I can see errors, if there are any, very clearly and get them fixed right away. Running the reports is instant and I can get all the payroll completed in about 20 minutes. I love that there is an app for my team members to track their hours too.  Everything is so much more convenient. I can't imagine going back to our old methods.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

UPDATE - Both of these are in JW Time Tracking specifically, not in the JW PEO.  In the list of locations, I'd like to be able to search for a location by name, or at least have a quicker scroll option at the bottom to skip to page 7, for example.  What is there now, is just a "next" option to skip to the next page, and then the next page again, and again, and again, etc.  
Also, it would be nice to be able to add notes to a shift while I'm creating it vs. having to create it and then go find it to open the window again and log the notes.

**Recommendations to others considering Justworks:**

Play around with it and customize it to your needs.  I love how WE use it, but I know it's different from most others.  It's got fantastic versatility.

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UPDATE - Support is the best part of this for me.  If one of my employees has a question, I know I can direct them to JW and be confident they will get the information they need, and that JW will give them great customer support.  This saves me a lot time, which is still so important to me as stated in my original review here...Time is the biggest factor for me, but also accuracy in reporting time.  I love that we can also look up a location and see all shifts and who worked them, etc.  Easy!

Justworks makes it easy to request time off, and I love how it tracks time too! When your company offers unlimited PTO, it's easy to think you're taking advantage of the policy, but justworks helps me keep myself honest about how much time I'm actually taking.

I like being able to log in and see a wide variety of options available.  As someone in technology, I like being able to find stuff without any real issues.  The options are clear and relatively easy to follow.

Nothing comes to mind just yet.  I logged in fine after confirming an initial password issue which was my own fault as it was too short.

I haven't seen any problems as I only needed to login with my own account to track payments being made to me.  My hope is that other consulting that I do can be funnelled here and make my overall life easier at Tax time.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

We have been using JustWorks for over 4 years now and use it every day. They constantly update their product to include new features, integrations, and corollary offerings (for example, expense reimbursement, time off management, and accounting system integrations). Another standout component is their excellent customer service. Whether on the phone or via email, their customer support is always willing to go above and beyond to help resolve issues or to answer questions. Their user interface is also very easy and constantly evolving. They integrate with a lots of backend software, like QBO and Xero.  We have been very happy with JustWorks and recommend it to all!

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

As JustWorks expands its offerings and increases our dependencies on it, we would love to see them expand into time management (for time tracking billable hours or even for cost accounting) and provide an insurance or business policy marketplace.

JustWorks allows us to easily manage our payroll, benefits, and contractor payments. They also help us address HR functions such as terminations.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

I like the price and we are very happy with the benefit pricing and selection.  The benefits team is responsive and compared to Trinet our benefits pricing is outstanding.  We have now been through one renewal and the price did not sky rocket in year two as we were warned it would.  Zero complaints on that front.  The simple pricing is also a huge plus.  No guessing, no gimmicks.  The price is what they say it will be.  I also really like the way they send notices about upcoming payments.  In case you need to ensure you move funds around, you are never caught off guard.  The integration with Quickbooks works as well, I do wish we could get things more granular from an invoicing integration perspective, but it certainly works.  Reporting is getting better and more flexible which is a nice improvement.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

The solution itself leaves so much to be desired.  I find myself constantly saying it just barely works.  It is basically a filing cabinet.  I do not feel like Justworks has guardrails to keep me on teh straight and narrow.  If you are an HR guru, you can use Justworks and it will do what you need.  I am not an HR expert. I would prefer it if my PEO had some guardrails up.  For instance, terminating an employee in a state that requires immediate payment to the employee.  Justworks tells you this, but the system doesn't actually do it.  Instead, you have to delete the payment the system makes and then pay out of your direct bank.  Annoying and both Trinet and Rippling do it for you.  This is a solved problem.  We have many other "little" things that just aren't easy.  For example, when we selected the system, we were told Justworks can sync with outlook in terms of calendars.  This was an important feature for us as we wanted an easy way to track vacations and eliminate the need for people to book OOO of their calendars for vacation.  Sadly, after many many many support calls and assurances it was an us issue, not a Justworks issue, we had a call with Justworks and Microsoft only to have Justworks finally admit this is a known issue that is not yet solved.  Terminating an employee is super simple.  There is also a cancel button to cancel a termination, also super simple.  However, we found out the hard way, if you cancel a termination the employee is removed from benefits unless you call Justworks directly.  Mind you, there is nothing that says this, no warning at all.  So cancelling a termination doesn't really cancel it completely.  There is no system to track your support tickets.  There is also no report showing all your support tickets.  I've asked for one and I've been told they don't have this capability.

Justworks handles our payroll.  It also integrates nicely with the org chart tool so we were able to eliminate that step from someones job.

I’ve been using Justworks for the past three years as an employee at a company partnered with them, and my experience has been consistently positive. The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate, and getting set up was a breeze. The Justworks support team has always been responsive and helpful whenever I’ve needed assistance.

Submitting PTO requests, filing timecards, and accessing company benefits are all straightforward tasks. Whether you interact with Justworks daily or just occasionally, I highly recommend it as a reliable payroll and benefits solution—both for employees and organizations. The mobile app and desktop site are user-friendly and well-designed.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

My only gripe with Justworks is that their benefits sometimes feel incomplete and lacking. It would be great to see better healthcare and wellness benefits, such as low/no-cost gym memberships from national chains.

Justworks makes it easy to submit PTO requests to my team lead, file my timecard with HR, and access health/wellness benefits.

The only downside I've noticed so far is that the simplicity of the platform can come at the cost of flexibility, it's a bit limited when it comes to customization options.

Justworks is a great company, and everyone is always super helpful. The laws and regulations in the US are quite tough, but you can always rely on them. In addition, they respond quickly. Even if they are unable to help directly, they will provide you with the right resources.

The platform itself is also really easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

As the laws and regulations in the US are quite tough, it would help me if Justworks were proactive in handling the necessary tasks, as certain things can easily be forgotten (especially if you're not from the US).

Additionally, it would be beneficial if integrations were possible with our HRIS. Currently, we have two separate systems where we need to process all changes.

Justworks ensures that we remain compliant. In addition, we can set up our benefits package and payroll through them.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

Justworks is extremely easy to use and it has everything you might need to run the operations of a small to medium-sized business. Expenses, payroll, time off, HR, and taxes are all included. There is even more functionality, but we only use the basics, as that is all we need. Setting up the platform for our company was very simple and fast, and whenever we have questions, their customer support team is always kind and quick to respond. As head of operations, I check Justworks every day and have never had a problem.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

Justworks has slightly convoluted ways of pulling expense data. When withdrawals are made to make payments, it's a little inconvenient to have to pull individual invoices through the platform and exporting them, rather than seeing data and manipulating it right in the platform.

Justworks consolidates and streamlines our HR and payroll processes. Otherwise, we'd have to track time off manually, process taxes forms and payroll separately, and worry about other compliance forms.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

I just switched to Justworks back in June of 2024. Justworks allows management to focus on what they do best and not have to earn a new degree in HR. The HR suport team is there for you if you have any questions. The PEO dashboard is easy to navigate and very intuative. The best part about Justworks is the 24/7 phone support in case you cannot find what you are looking for. Everyone is super friendly and eager to help find you a solution. I am also using the Time Tracking feature, which is great for my part time employees. They are able to clock in and out on an app and add notes about their shifts so I do not have to ask them too many questions. Lastly, the implementation team was patient and took every necessary step to make sure that my transition from the previous PEO to their platform was smooth.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

The part about Justworks that is not as smooth is the fact that after I approve the time cards in the Time Tracking system, I have to also re-approve these hours in the main dashboard again in order for these employees to get paid. I also do not like that I have to manually add the holiday pay for the companys paid holidays.

Justworks is providing a cost effective way for me to provide payroll and benefits to my small business.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

Justworks provides broad and efficient services in our entire payroll and employee benefits process, but the thing that I find makes the service outstanding is the efficient and pro-active customer service. Whether it is a general knowledge question or correcting an error I have made, Justworks has never failed to provide the assistance I need.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

It's useful to have Justworks's time-tracking software (Justworks Hours) available, as it syncs fairly easily with the Justworks PEO. However, I would prefer if the time-tracking were fully integrated into the main software so that it wasn't necessary to use two different websites in order to combine the two.

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Justworks calculates our gross payroll based on salary, wages and commissions, determines the proper employment tax deductions and deposit net payments to employee accounts, and does our payroll tax filings. It also manages our employee benefits, including paid time off and health insurance. We also use Justworks Hours to track wages for hourly emplyees

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

Justworks makes it easy to bundle everything your business needs in terms of Human Resource management such as Payroll, and benefits. It's a single portal to all the resources an employer and employee would ever need. It's very easy to on-board your existing employees as well as any new hires. It's very conveinient to have everything HR related on one website, so I frequently use it to check my Paystubs, my Health benefits, etc. and they also have integrated their own 401K plans as well ad ROTH IRA plans.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

Only disadvantage about Justworks is that it's an outsourced solution, as opposed to having an actual, physical HR team. but it's based in the United States and there's a phone number or chat service you can contact them via, so theres help 24/7.

Justworks helps me process payroll for my hourly employees. I don't have to keep physical records anymore. They have an very well integrated Hourly Employee Time Tracking Systems already in place and they're very east to use.

As the name states, it just works. If you're coming off of another PEO, you will be blown away by how simple and easy Justworks is. From health plan selection, to commission payments, to new employee onboarding, everything is soo much simpler than the other PEO tools we tried before. Plus their support is quick, thorough, and amazing. I truly can't believe I don't have any bad things to say about a PEO provider!
