Software: Software is slighlty more usable than all other PEO's. It doesn't do much, but it's not difficult to navigate.
Pricing: Pricing is much more transparent than most PEO providers.
In general, it's not the WORST PEO ever, but I would not recommend JustWorks to any of my peers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Poor Benefits Quality: Depth and breadth of benefits offerings, especially medical, is poor.
- Poor Support Service Stratgy: All of our account managers have been dedicated and professional. However, JustWorks' service model is such that your representatives are service/sales people, not experts in payroll, tax, benefits or compliance. You cannot directly connect with relevant experts when you need help. Tax issues are often unresolved as a result. Thankfully we've had few other issues with sensitive areas, but I have no confidence that JustWorks has staff with deep expertise in these areas if an issue did arise.
- No real HRIS functionality: Most PEO's don't have decent HRIS features, but my predecsccors selected JustWorks because the software looked/felt better than other PEO's. This is true, but there is very little onboarding and reporting functionality.
- Poor Benefits Implementation: Open enrollment and other benefits implementation is self-serve. No expert support in modeling benefit coverage options. I had to fight to get the minimal support I received, which was far below the basic level of service I expect from a PEO or benefits provider. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Through the entire process from the first call with Jake to our most recent call with our Customer Success Manager, the JustWorks team truly held our hand through every step of the way. Better than white glove service, we were always kept up to date on everything we need to do, things that could be helpful for us to do, and how we can make JustWorks work for us. The implementation process was straight forward and quick. The platform is intuitive and really helps reduce the time spent trying to get answers for our team. Not to mention, their 24/7 customer service is clutch!! Highly recommend any company to use JustWorks PEO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My only feedback is that we have some employees that need custom PTO award dates (outside of their anniversary or the 1st of the year) so builidng out an option to adjust that would be great. Although, this is a one of situation and specific to our company, it's not detrimental to our busienss Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that it has everything that I need, and that includes a way to access any necessary trainings that I need to complete. It's very easy to use and navigate. I've also had to contact them to re-open my enrollment because I picked the wrong plan, and they quickly fixed the issue for me so that I could start over. I check it regularly to see upcoming holidays and days off, as well as pay days. Love that I can export the Justworks calendar to google calendar, too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only issue that I've had is when I visit on mobile (without the app), it's not responsive and designed for a mobile experience. I don't always want to download an app for everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the HUMANS at Justworks! 9 times out of 10 when you reach out via email or phone, someone goes above and beyond to respond to your inquiry / question / concern. The resource support pages are updated and the newsletters they put out are always timely and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm sure with any newer tech, there are plenty of bugs. Unfortunately it seems that Justworks has prioritized partnerships and integrations over making improvements to their own system capabilities. For a smaller organization Justworks is not sophisticated enough to replace a robust HRIS leaving our small staff (and small budget) looking for multiple solutions. I find that the layout of both the Web and mobile App versions are intuitive and allow the user to quickly navigate between different sections as necessary. One of the greatest features is the customer support function – if ever any of our employees has a question about benefits or any other aspect, the Justworks team is available and super helpful. As an employee, Justworks is a great platform, very easy to navigate and easy to find important information quickly, like W-2 information or paystubs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm not sure if this is relevant but I do not like that the Clock-in app (Open Shifts) is a separate platform. I wish it was all in one site and easy to move from one to another without having to go to a different website, at least that's how I use it right now. I also am not fond of having to get a code from my phone every now and then, but that's how security is these days, so I tolerate it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The first thing I like about Justworks is their friendly customer service representatives, they are always helpful in assisting you and making you feel welcome. Secondly, is the ease and use of the platform, it is not an issue to nagivate with using. The final area I find useful are the updates on what is happening with my medical products, 401k updates and friendly reminders when necessay to update any of the features on their platform. Their website is easy to navigate and their customer support team knows their stuff. I use this every day and it is so easy to find what I am looking for. I only have great things to say about them. I love calling and speaking with a represetative because my questions are always quickly and easily answered. The number of feautures easily works well with a small staff. Horrible customer service, horrible benefits administration.
Justworks doubled our benefits costs after the first year (literally DOUBLED). We were under the impression that the point of Justworks was for a small company to share benefits with others, but I know other people who use Justworks for their company and their benefits didn't double in cost.
We asked to cancel our account and they slow played it long enough to claim it was too late to cancel and we'd have to pay them another month.
Once we finally got them to agree to accept our cancelation of benefits, they told us they'd still have to charge us but they'd refund us a month later (we're talking about thousands and thousands of dollars at this point). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
