What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

One of my biggest frustrations is the inability to fill in finer details for Reels and Stories when scheduling. I still have to use Meta Business Suite for that, which is exactly what I was hoping to avoid. Additionally, transitioning to Hootsuite’s reporting from Meta Business Suite hasn’t been the easiest—the alignment just isn’t there, making it harder to track performance in a way that feels familiar. What do you like best about Hootsuite?

Hootsuite has been a great tool for managing social media, and overall, I’m really impressed with its features! One of the highlights for me is the reports it generates. They’re detailed and give great insights into how posts are performing. What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

One major issue is how slow they are to update channel-specific features. Social platforms evolve quickly, and Hootsuite often lags behind. A prime example is Instagram: the platform now supports up to 20 photos in a single post, yet Hootsuite can only handle 10. This delay in adapting to platform changes is frustrating for users who want to stay ahead with their content.

Additionally, the interface feels overdue for an overhaul. While functional, it often comes across as clunky and outdated, especially compared to some newer tools in the market. What do you like best about Hootsuite?

As a social media manager, I oversee about nine platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Threads. I appreciate how easy it is to filter through different channels, allowing me to see a comprehensive overview of the upcoming content for each brand.

I appreciate that Hootsuite has now integrated with third-party apps like Canva, which has saved me a significant amount of time by eliminating the need to download and re-upload content.

As a daily Hootsuite user, I enjoy that it creates an easy-to-understand inbox of comments and messages and that is allows me to comment back through Hootsuite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

While a detailed overview of the social week is certainly helpful, I would appreciate having a general monthly overview as well. This would allow me to see how many posts I have scheduled for each platform throughout the month. Additionally, it would be useful to understand how frequently content is posted on weekends versus weekdays, along with the specific times those posts are made.

Part of my role is to provide social reports, some insights are missing from the Hootsuite tabs, so I often have to find this information on the social platform itself, which is sometimes a good deal different to the results on Hootsuite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Hootsuite solving and how is that benefiting you?

Pulling together all the social platforms into one place is a really helpful and time-saving benefit of having Hootuiste. I also appreciate the third-party access to Canva, which has saved me a significant amount of time on creating separate content, and downloading and re-uploading this content to Hootsuite. What do you like best about Hootsuite?

Hootsuite is a very simple to use planner to create, manage and track social media posts. The analytics and listening tools contain detailed information useful to my business' growth online. As a social media manager, I use Hootsuite everyday and am overall very satisfied with the service. I've been using Hootsuite for the last two years and never had an issue which required to contact their customer support team. What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

In parralel to Hootsuite I also need to use the free version of Buffer to allow me to plan Facebook Reels and YouTube Shorts. I would very much like for these to be available in Hootsuite as well. Also, Hootsuite seems slow in adding integration for new networks such as Bluesky, which seems to quickly be growing in popularity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Hootsuite solving and how is that benefiting you?

Having almost every platform grouped in one tool saves me a lot of time because I can create multiple posts at once. Also, as a Québec based French-Canadian business, all my posts must be duplicated and available in French. Hootsuite makes it easy to duplicate planned posts and add the translated text. What do you like best about Hootsuite?

The ease of scheduling social media posts across various platforms and accounts, the variety of features allows you to tag different accounts in the post whether that's for LinkedIn, Facebook or instagram (For example).

The ease of collaborating with other social media accounts is amazing too. The view of the platform is very easy to see your social media plan across the week without having to click between pages.

It simply solves the problem of having to swap and change between platforms - Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X - for posting social media content. What do you like best about Hootsuite?

I have used Hootsuite in all of my workplaces for a number of years and would recommend it to any marketer who needs to manage multiple social accounts. It's easy to use and makes posting across multiple accounts extremely efficient. The analytics feature is particularly useful and saves me a lot of time when generating reports about our account performance. Downsides are that sometimes I have issues with linking different accounts within the text, so I need to copy/paste my post and post it directly on the relevant platform. Hootsuite is helping us quickly post across four different social media accounts. It saves us time. What do you like best about Hootsuite?

The ease of scheduling content and being able to post across multiple platforms allows us to plan a thorough calendar. which is easy to change or update should we need to. When it comes to editing an alreday scheduled post, there is no option to edit across the platforms, but instead we need to click on each individual post (facebook, instagram etc) and edit the posts from there. We are able to schedule content in advance. As a school, our social media team does not operate outside of term-time so we are able to plan content months in advance and have everything scheduled so that even if we are not in the office, we are still able to post content. What do you like best about Hootsuite?

The Hootsuite UI makes their approach to social media management seamless, straightforward, and easy to understand. All of their services are easy to find and I learn new tips everyday just by logging in and taking a look at my dashboard!

It has allowed me to schedule posts on their recommended days/times which facilitates my planning. Planning is much more straightforward and easy to do compared to meta suite and their obnoxious (and sometimes worthless tools... I mean, not once have I had issues uploading pictures at a high quality using Hootsuite, but when I used to use meta, they would compress my pictures and they would end up super pixelated!).

I use Hootsuite almost daily to either schedule posts, check how my linked accounts are doing, and I appreciate how up-to-date this platform is when it comes to platform outages or issues. I have recommended Hootsuite to other departments because of it's easy to use interface and the benefits of adding it to my social media management routine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

The only downsides I have seen on Hootsuite have been on the analytics page, although I have seen improvements since the time that I had notices the following issues: the reports didn't always display correctly when choosing specific widgets to see them in (the bar graphs, pie charts, etc.), the file sizes for image uploads was too small for my liking, and sometimes the recommended posting times aren't the best when it comes to user engagement. What do you like best about Hootsuite?

Hootsuite has a really easy to navigate UI that even as it has changed over the years, still maintains that quality throughout all of the iterations i've seen of it. This powerful tool lets you schedule content ahead of time, collaborate with coworkers, respond to commends and more. It is a powerful tool that continues to get more powerful adding tools like AI, and more platforms to it. I've used Hootsuite for nearly 10 years multiple times a week at this point without feeling the urge to switch, or look into other options.

Anytime i've had to get support, their customer service was quick and prompt. It was super easy to get other team members on board and bring hootsuite into our daily list of tools we use.

All in all, I wouldn't be where I am in marketing without Hootsuite I think, and that earns it a glowing review from me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

I think Hootsuite needs to intergrate some of the newer platforms available, as well as offer greater customizability for each of them when scheduling posts for multiple platforms.
