I don't know how I would manage to keep up on social media demands without hootsuite!
I love that Hootsuite is a one-stop shop for everything a busy social media content manager needs. It easily integrates with other tracking software, and already has connections to other online vendors that are commonly used in the industry.
The decision to start using hootsuite was a no-brainer when compared to other options. No downloading files to your computer or the constant need to contact customer support, they are easily accessed online and even reach out to the customers occasionally to check in. I've never even had to contact their customer service team unlike so many other online tools.
I am on this site every week if not every day, it is so useful to me. I also enjoy the options of upgrading your subscription to include cool and useful insights if desired. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do find it perturbing at times that the post specs don't seem to match the specs of the actual social media. For instance, if I am posting a gif to Facebook, Hootsuite will tell me it must be under a certain length/time/quality. However if you go directly to the medium to post the same file, it works seamlessly.
I would appreciate the specs being at least updated synchronously with the algorithmic changes. (However, with how often the different social mediums update and change their algorithms, I honestly have no clue how practical or possible this is). There may be a Hootsuite limit for these posts for a good reason, but it can seem nonsensical to a user in such an instance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think the best about Hootsuite is the ability to manage multiple accounts at once. There are tools that I can use to better develop content for my social accounts, as well as the ability to optimize post times based on past records. I really enjoy the tool for social listening, it gives an insight to what are the new trends and current topics that everyone is in discussion about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I struggle with the ability to plan postings. I like the calendar overview of my month, but sometimes I prefer being able to visualize what posts are going up on those specific days. If there was an opportunity to develop drafted postings, similar to the ways of a sticky note that can be dropped and placed on the calendar, it would help ease my socials planning. I sometimes find that Hootsuite makes mistakes, such as when I have finish drafting my captions on a post, but the preview does not showcase the corrected draft and instead publishes the previous one that has not been updated. I had run into issues where I had to remove posts and rework them in order to show the correct info. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have used Hootsuite across multiple employers and personally for 10+ years. Overall, it is my go-to for social media management and scheduling. Some of my favorite features include:
(1) Preparing social content, shortening the links, and easily scheduling posts or saving them as drafts.
(2) Analytics and reporting across all of my social networks in one concise report. I love the year-end review as well.
(3) The AI integrations have been great, especially the one that can create content from links to an article and the integration of using AI when creating a post.
(4) Price is very competitive for what you get. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My only dislike is that my social networks seem to get disconnected often in the platform and I am fairly regularly reconnecting and authenticating them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Personally, my favorite thing about Hootsuite is the convience it allows. I really appreciate a tool that makes my life easier. I love being able to see my social calendar fully flushed out in front of me. One of my favorite features is the best time to post feature — helps me when making decisions about content. I also appreciate being able to see my post analytics all in one place
I just recently found out that Hootsuite integrates with threads! This is great to know as we expand into diffferent social platforms Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think my least favorite thing is that I don't get a notification when something isn't published/something went wrong which is a bit frustrating, and it's a bit difficult when entering a new role and taking over the social space that was previously owned by someone else on Hootsuite. It feels a bit tough to get full access to all of the accounts you'd like to. I also find that for example, in the analytics portion, I wish it would tell me what "Status" means, or have some sort of documentation surrounding that. I also personally, am not a fan of the user experience. It feels slightly antiquated and they don't seem to be doing my innovation in that regard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that Hootsuite streamlines my work managing multiple social media channels, especially when I travel across multiple time zones over 200 days a year. I got a subscription because I wanted to respond to comments and messages and upload my content remotely in countries where Instagram and Facebook are unavailable. I do not want to risk being flagged by logging in to my accounts directly through the app, so I use Hootsuite via VPN. It changed my ability to work and travel. Scheduling ahead and the most detailed insights available in the world of social media are among the things I appreciate the most about Hootsuite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish there were an opportunity to schedule and post stories with interactive elements (such as ticket links and/or tags) - unfortunately, it makes it impossible to fully manage all the platforms exclusively via Hootsuite when accessing it remotely, as the main purpose of my client's account is selling tickets. Hootsuite is great for beginner to intermediate social media managers, especially when you're still learning campaign management and targeting. The analytics are a strong feature, making it easier to track performance and improve strategies. The platform is intuitive, with a simple setup process and helpful onboarding resources. Customer support is responsive and friendly, with a knowledge base for troubleshooting. It works well for regular users managing multiple accounts, offering a solid range of features like scheduling, analytics, and team collaboration. Plus, it integrates smoothly with major social platforms and marketing tools, making workflow management more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The frustrating part about Hootsuite is that social media apps keep disconnecting, which means having to reconnect them often. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I enjoy how easy the calendar feature is to use and the visual it provides. I also like the draft feature and being able to go back and edit posts I was working on so I have time to edit and preview before posting. I use Hootsuite almost everyday and it keeps multiple social media accounts visually orgainzed and managable, making it convient to implement in my daily social media tasks. The fact that you can tag and or cater your content to the specific platform it helpful as well and makes for easy integration into the specifics of each platform. I have not needed customer support thus far but like that there is a chat option for easy fixes. Overall, I think it does a great job at a fair price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I would wish to improve would be some aspects of the analytics. I like the customzable report, the visuals and how easy it is to export, however I wish there was some sort of live dashboard to show how your accounts are performing currently with pre-determined metrics. It would also be nice to have more speicifc options in the industry benchmarking categories. My firm is a civil engineering firm (in the AEC industry) and the closest option was "professional services/consulting", which I feel is too broad to accurately benchmark. Hootsuite is incredibly helpful for me as a marketing director. It allows me to streamline the management of the multiple brands I handle, and with the level of subscription I have, I can add as many social media platforms as I need. It makes it incredibly simple to schedule posts across each platform, and manage the incoming messages received from each page. I also love the analytics views, and how I can go back in time to view how our pages have improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I will say, the only thing that has been a little tricky is that Hootsuite is sometimes slow to update the name of a page once it has been changed. For example, a brand that I manage went by one name when my company acquired it; however, we have since changed that name, and my dashboard still shows the old name, even though we changed it almost 2 years ago. It doesn't seem to affect my ability to post to that page, but it does throw me off sometimes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Hootsuite nearly everyday and I really enjoy it! They have some a long way in the features that are provided. I really enjoy the user friendly scheduling tool and planner. I also like the various options for analytics. Something new that I really have come to enjoy is the Social Media score. The kind of tells how your page is doing with a score. I am competitive so I like coming on each week and seeing if I beat my score from the week prior. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish when you have to edit a post, you could edit all of the posts at once. When you schedule a post for three platforms and schedule them, but then find an error, you can't just edit one of the posts or the original post you created. You have to go to each individual post and fix it by platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We love how much time Hootsuite saves us! Scheduling and managing our social media has never been easier, allowing us to focus on what truly matters. Plus, our posts look more polished and professional than ever. It’s a game-changer for staying consistent and engaging with our audience! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One minor downside of Hootsuite is that its analytics features can be limited unless you upgrade to a higher-tier plan. Some advanced reporting tools and in-depth insights require a premium subscription, which may not be ideal for smaller teams or businesses on a budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
