Hootsuite makes it very easy to schedule posts across multiple channels. I love the overall calendar view so I can make sure all our colleagues' posts are properly scheduled. I also love the inbox as it makes it easier to answer messages instead of going onto the channels directly. The team is very nice to work with and overall, my experience has been fantastic. The only things I dislike are the errors that occur when the sites update. There were a few periods of time where we were unable to schedule posts due to site updates and it was very frustrating. The other thing I don't like is that when you approve posts from the app, you are unable to see if the posts are geotargeted or not. The geotargeting is extremely vital for many pages and it is necessary to see on mobile. Because of this, I need to bring my computer when I travel and approve posts from my web browser. Approving apps on mobile is ineffective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hootsuite is a powerful tool for managing multiple social media accounts from one central platform. One of the standout features for me is the ability to quickly pull a wide range of data and select specific accounts for analysis. The platform offers robust comparison abilities, allowing you to analyze performance across different time frames. The scheduling feature is also a huge plus — I can plan posts and schedule them to be published at the optimal times, across multiple channels simultaneously, which saves a ton of time. Additionally, the reporting feature is fantastic. It provides in-depth insights into which types of content perform best, making it easy to measure engagement, monitor progress, and present data to the team. The range of metrics available for each account is impressive, and I appreciate that Hootsuite regularly publishes blogs to help users maximize the platform's potential. Overall, it simplifies the process of managing social media and gives you all the tools needed to improve performance.
Overall, while Hootsuite is incredibly helpful and efficient for managing social media and pulling key metrics, these areas for improvement do slightly hinder the user experience. With a few tweaks to the reporting tool and added functionality for bulk actions, it would be a near-perfect platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Hootsuite offers many great features, there are a few aspects that could use improvement. The biggest issue I’ve encountered is with the reporting tool. It seems like the main reporting functionality has changed, and I’m no longer able to have my "default" screen include an overview of all my accounts. Now, I have to create individual reports for each account and go into them separately to pull the data, which is a bit more time-consuming. Additionally, the reports seemed stuck on data from 2022 for a while, which was frustrating. I also noticed that the reports can sometimes be inconsistent—if I pull two similar reports, the top posts may differ based on the metric (likes, comments, impressions), which makes it difficult to draw clear conclusions. I really wish there was more consistency between reports. Another downside is the lack of bulk post deletion — it’s a bit tedious to delete individual posts one by one, and it would be great if there was an option to delete multiple posts at once. Lastly, the time frames for comparing data can be limiting. For example, when comparing data from this year to last year, I was unable to go back to January 1st and had to settle for January 15th, which impacted the accuracy of my analysis. Hootsuite's core functionality as a scheduler is its best feature. While it has added several additional capabilities over the years, I appreciate the fact that it has maintained the planning and scheduling feature at the highest level. Many SaaS companies tend to lose their focus and let the element that originally brought people to the product go to the wayside after a few years, and Hootsuite has not. As someone who does social media across three companies and four networks, it's nice to have a one-stop shop for social media. I also like that days are labeled for what national days or relevant events (ex. Valentine's Day, the Superbowl, etc) are occurring, which helps me ensure that I don't miss an important posting theme. I also like the analytics platform, especially for social networks (like X) that charge for analytics tracking. It's nice to have everything in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have not been a huge fan of the Listening feature on Hootsuite, as it doesn't capture conversations well within my hyper-niche market. However, if you are a company that is looking to track and capitalize on large trends or broad subjects, it's likely a more useful feature. I also don't use the Ads feature, as I find that it is just easier to manage my ads on the network itself. Finally, I continually struggle with posting videos to X on Hootsuite, as it pushes back for size restrictions that posting directly to the platform does not seem to have as an issue. Brethren Mutual has used Hootsuite as its social media management software for over nine years! We love the ease of use of the product, the ability to plan out our social media experienace for customers in advance, and enhance our posts with Hootsuite's built-in AI capability. One of the best upsides of the software is that employees of all skill-sets can be trained to use the software to ensure our social media messages don't skip a beat! I haven't found any downsides of Hootsuite in our nine years of using the product. That's why we keep using it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The scheduler works the vast majority of the time, but not when you're @-mentioning people - that fails every single time. I like that the algorithm will auto-suggest times to post.
Implementation was pretty problem-free, tbh. It doesn't usually disconnect too often - much less than it used to a few years ago.
I haven't had to use their customer support, so no comment there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Where's the Bluesky support? The world is moving away from Twattir - why don't you support Bluesky yet?
There's too many popups and banal "helpful tips" that get in the way of the workflow. Bless your heart, Hootsuite, but I don't need to be pushed into "watching a short video" about when to post every third time I schedule a post when I'm doing a whole batch of them.
I lowkey hate that the scheduler will only show you a week at a time with any detail. Let me see the whole month at a glance, but show me just enough to make sure that I've got posts scheduled for all my channels. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hootsuite makes scheduling social posts simple. Being a marketing team of one, it saves me loads of time being able to schedule months in advance. I recently began running ads though the platform as well, and I wish I would've dove into this feature earlier. Ad managers like Meta and LinkedIn are overly complicated in my opinion, and Hootsuite's ad tool simplifies it down making it quicker and easier to implement. I do wish Hootsuite would integrate with more social features like being able to post LinkedIn polls, document posts, and other items like that. It would also be convenient if we could add the music and location tagging in the post scheduler. The listening tool as well needs some work. I feel as though tons of un-relevent results come through when I am searching for my keywords. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I mostly use Hootsuite for scheduling, which i find very convenient. I know a few of my team members really like the streams, but I personally like being able to have the calendar view across all or osme accounts. I definitely use hootsuite daily and find it easy to use the main features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think it could be a little more user friendly in learning to take advantage of everything hootsuite has to offer. The hootsuite academy is also kind of boring and it would be nice if it were more interactive to learn instead of just reading. Additionally, I've been looking at lately.ai or other softwares for some of my other clients to see about how i can integrate AI scheduling and content creation into my calendars and would love to see more of that in hootsuite. It saves a lot of time. Instead of jumping between different apps, you can plan and organize everything in one place. It’s really helpful for keeping things consistent and staying on top of your posts.
The insights and tracking are also a big plus. It gives you a clear picture of how things are performing so you can adjust as needed. Having everything in one spot makes it easier to see what’s working and what’s not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One downside is the cost. The free version is okay for basic needs, but if you want better features, the price can add up quickly.
Another issue is usability on mobile. While the desktop version works well, the mobile experience could be smoother. It’s not always as intuitive as you’d expect, which can be frustrating if you need to manage things on the go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how Hootesuite makes it easy to schedule and post on all my channels from one place. I've also used it at times when I was managing more than one company's socials, and it was so helpful to not have to sign into a different account every time. It's very easy to use. I use it every day to monitor our incoming messages and comments. I also really like the analytics feature, which sends me a monthly report so I don't have to go to each individual platform to pull reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the things I don't like is that it's not always up-to-date on platform dimensions and requirements. It will say that a codec isn't accepted by a platform, but if I go to that platform directly, I can post the video with the same codec. It's not always up-to-speed. We have been using Hootsuite for nearly 10 years and we schedule all of our daily social media posts each week.
Over time, we have seen Hootsuite dedicated to improving its services each year. I love that I can schedule my social shares, answer questions, and make comments all in one platform.
Hootsuite is very easy to implement with a simple setup and UX that is intuitive and geared to small business owners with many tasks.
It was super easy to integrate our existing social media channels into Hoosuite's platform. With just a few clicks we were ready to create and schedule social shares.
We've only had to reach out to Hootsuite customer service twice in all these years and they were quick to help us find a solution and get the most out of their product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hootsuite is a great product at an affordable price point. However, I wish there were a way to integrate Pinterest and TikTok in a seamless manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

First, I appreciate that Hootsuite offers a discount for non-profits. My next favorite quality is that It is very user-friendly product to use. I am able to schedule across multiple social media apps. Hootsuite offers many educational opportunities- real ones- not just ones to sell their app that you do not really learn new things. I am also able to generate reports and compare social media numbers over time. I can see what is working and what isn't - what types of social media to lean into at any given time. It is easy to get support and speak to an employee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am not sure if this is something that Hootsuite can fix or if it is an Instagram issues but I cannot schedule alt text for Instagram. I want our content to be accessible and I would really appreciate being able to schedule alt text for Insta just like I can for Facebook, LinkedIn etc. I am also hoping the Hootsuite will add Bluesky to available apps.
