My favorite part is the project management aspect. You can track various parts of each project through a progress tracker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think the part I dislike the most is that some of the integrations are not that great and a little buggy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that you can forward emails directly to a board to create new Actions. The Status layout, which operates like a Trello board or Kanban system, is great for visual folks like me. The Status layout does offer some great features that Trello doesn't offer, like updating due dates to automatically track with recurring actions (so you don't create weekly actions with due dates that occur on the same day in the past, which Trello does.) I also like that almost everything can be color coded with labels, colored project titles, and avatars of users when assigning actions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The full user vs. "guest" user system tied to billing is downright labyrinthian. It seems purposely designed to be confusing and difficult to manage. It almost feels like a dark pattern designed to confuse team administrators into overpaying, because its very easy to sign up for more seats accidentally than you intended, but very difficult to downgrade seats. It's also very difficult to manage outside users, see whether their status is full or outside user, and downgrade full users to guests. Any mistake or oversight on this can get expensive fast, as billing is tied to the number of full seats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love having everything in one place, including notes, project plans, individual tasks tracking. Visibility is everything on the types of projects I work on as a UX designer, and Hive makes that easy. This easily replaces tools like Trello, spreadsheets, Word docs, Jira Kanban boards. Collaborative editing in Notes is still a bit buggy. I don't understand the intention of the mail feature either. Small detail, but I wouldn't say I like that the Notes list panel out for simultaneous viewing alongside whatever page you're on. I find myself continually closing it. The "My Team" view is very useful as a project manager. It goes me an overall view of my team's priorities for the day, week, or month. The resourcing tab is also very helpful, but I wish it could be populated without time estimates. Project leads love the status view to get an overall look at their project's health and the work ahead.
I also really like that I can create teams within my team and assign larger team milestones and tasks to everyone at once.
While I don't use the "my actions" as an administrator, my team members appreciate the clear layout and have told me that the interface makes it easy for them to schedule their time more efficiently and lets them plan ahead for the weeks to come. This also helps us cut down on the back and forth communication about priorities and deadlines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Setting up projects can be a bit clunky sometimes, especially if there are many subactions to assign. It would be great to have more easily accessible resources for things like automation and other time-saving solutions.
As mentioned, the resourcing feature could use some work. I wish there was a way to populate that tab without putting in times estimates. I just really like the view layout and wish I could get more out of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's incredibly easy to move your tasks and actions around. It creates the ability to link emails to tasks, link notes to tasks, and link tasks to multiple projects. If it becomes a bigger task (or smaller task) than you originally expected, the ability to convert existing information to either whole projects or subtasks without losing any information or needing to re-input any data is hugely convenient. The way it is set up, and the flexibility that is embedded in the entire system is perfect for a dynamic work environment with changing situations and expectations. We also heavily rely on the chat feature to make our remote team stays up to speed and connected. Being able to share notes with your team and email them to non-team members is also incredibly useful to us. It reduces our workload in our task management software, closes a lot of collaboration gaps, and allows for tracking from a management perspective that I did not have the ability to do before. And it allows me to do so quickly and with little effort, which reduces my "oversight" workload and allows me to focus on my core tasks. It makes it way easier for me to manage my team, whether it's because of COVID-related remote work, or when I am traveling, which I frequently have to do for our work. In the past it was hard to coordinate our team when I was overseas, but now I'm confident that when travel opens up again I'll be able to keep managing the work effectively and ensure things continue to progress. I wish there was the ability to link emails to more than one task. Unfortunately, with the way emails work, people often discuss more than one task or project in a single email, and this is not compatible with the way Hive works, which limits the usefulness of that feature for us. I wish there was a way to do that - it seems like it would be a relatively simple fix, but maybe that's something that will come down the pipeline. They're updating things like that and various functionalities pretty quickly it seems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are multiple layers to Hive and the possibility of adding layers as you go along, which is excellent for managing large-scale projects. You can also use labels and subactions to provide you with more granular management of projects. I also really like the feature which allows you monitor the progress of the project, and the ability to add in new statuses to individual tasks within a project. When moving tasks from one project to another, depending on the setup, you may lose labels or people assigned to that particular task within the project. While this is not a huge issue, it may result in colleagues missing out on specific tasks, if it goes unnoticed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A lot of flexibility depending on what suits you. You can customize view options, have the option for a lot of add-on features, and just let Hive work the way it best suits you. I also like how Hive really cares about its customers, and has an option where customers can vote on which features they would like to see get implemented or fixed. We were abruptly forced off our last project management software, and we found there was a long adjustment period, especially with the proofing (feedback, notifications, stages). It would be helpful if the proofing was more fleshed out. Also, proofing doesn't work as well for .gif and video files. We also wish there was an easier way to see a calendar view than 'summary view'. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the ability to communicate with team members on different tasks to ensure that the task is completed quickly and efficiently, with no duplicate work necessary. I also like being able to see everything in the calendar view to know what my week looks like and the status view to get a bigger idea of ongoing and completed projects. I wish the date was easier to set, and that it let you see things in more of a week setting, like assign to this week, instead of just the deadline day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its a complete package which is user friendly and cloud collaborative. Very useful while onboarding consultants. It is easily accesible by the onboarded consultants along with inhouse users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software is little slow while accesing it on mobile phone hence its not mobile friendly. Also email integration is quite complex, online updation of document is not available easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
