The transparency of project flow and visibility to enhance participation and collaboration with the team as a whole. We used to use Google docs, Dropbox, Skype, email, shared drives, etc. for sharing documents, tracking work, setting deadlines. Things kept sliding through the cracks and deadlines were being missed because we didn't have everything housed in one location. This takes all the guesswork out of our project loads, visibility on who has bandwidth to help with team projects, and provides more structure to our trackers. Hive features a mostly intuitive UI across browsers and desktop/mobile devices with its Hive App. The service makes tracking project status and related notes (such as temporary contacts) effortless, while offering customizable status fields and columns. The UI is a bit confusing until you get used to it. Getting started and introducing it to my team members was difficult, but that might be more due to my own unfamiliarity with Hive as I tried to train my teammates. There's some custom setup required to get dashboards and views that accomplish what I want, but now that I've got that setup it's easy to access the reports I need.
