  ### 1. Hireology Keeps Employee Docs Centralized and Cuts Paperwork

**What do you like best about Hireology?**

All of our employee documents are kept in one place, so we can always find them if something gets misplaced. I also love that our company no longer has to print so much paperwork. We don’t have to jump between different sites for background checks or employee verification anymore, because it’s all handled through Hireology.

**What do you dislike about Hireology?**

The steps are a bit confusing. We have to move an applicant to “candidate” in order to set up an interview with them. Even more confusing, we have to move the applicant to “hire” just to get them to the onboarding paperwork. This recently caused confusion with my boss when he was covering for me while I was on vacation.

**What problems is Hireology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have fewer applicants coming in and out of the office. Previously, applicants sometimes had to come in several times because they weren’t prepared with all of their documentation, or we felt obligated to hire them since they took the time to come into the office. Now we conduct phone interviews and require all documents to be submitted through Hireology before their one in-office appointment.

**What do you like best about Hireology?**

I love how user-friendly it is. It’s easy for my team and our hiring managers to use, and, most importantly, it supports a great candidate experience. The interface is straightforward and intuitive, which makes the hiring process more efficient and faster. I also really appreciate the SMS capability, since we can message candidates directly within the platform without using our personal phones and without having to leave the platform.

**What do you dislike about Hireology?**

For my company, we have many dealership locations in addition to our corporate office. Each location is grouped accordingly, along with all of the jobs within each group. What I dislike is that when I’m searching for a candidate, I type the name in the search bar, but it only searches within the specific dealership/store I’m currently in. If I want it to search the entire account, I have to back out and switch to “all locations” first. The search bar should cover ALL locations ALL of the time, so it would simply search candidates across the whole account without being tied to a specific dealership. That would be much easier and would save time and clicks.

Hireology helps us keep candidate applications flowing smoothly and organized. It also improves our communication and helps streamline the overall hiring process, so everything stays on track from start to finish.

  ### 3. Cost-Effective Candidate Messaging That Simplifies Multi-Job-Board Hiring

**What do you like best about Hireology?**

The ability to message candidates en masse but having each one be messaged/emailed individually, eliminating the "CC" or "BCC" issues of trying to send the same message to multiple candidates. The cost is also incomparable to what we were paying to just use Indeed. This pulls from multiple job boards (albeit primarily Indeed), and costs a flat fee per rooftop, which is enormous for us as a dealership because we have multiple openings that span multiple skill sets and we are opening and closing them often.

**What do you dislike about Hireology?**

There really isn't much to dislike. Like any new tool, we had to get used to the interface, figure out how it would integrate into our daily tasks, automate what we could, and become comfortable with it, but that isn't necessarily a negative.

**What problems is Hireology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To be frank, and there is likely some conversation to be had on both sides about this, today's applicant pool is not the same as it was ten years ago. Applicants will apply and, when contacted, have no idea what the position is that they applied for, because they relied on the application tool to auto-apply for them. As a result, just getting candidates to respond or show up is a struggle, especially for customer service jobs. Hireology gives us the tools to confirm appointments, to message multiple candidates at once (which is a great help when 40% don't respond, and another 40% don't show up to their scheduled time), and also allows us to see candidates that have been previously rejected for certain positions so we are not duplicating our efforts.

**What do you like best about Hireology?**

I use Hireology for our hiring process, and it's great for obtaining applicants and running background checks. I really appreciate the integration with Netchex as it makes managing our hiring and HR/Payroll processes much easier. We don't have to manually enter each applicant's information in the HR/Payroll platform, which saves us a lot of time. It's also very easy to set up, and we were ready to go ahead of schedule without any hassles.

**What do you dislike about Hireology?**

A better way to connect with Customer Service would be great. We have had times when we needed to connect with someone very quickly and it was very hard to get in contact with someone. Provide a direct line for clients to contact Hireology, rather than having to try to contact through the Account Manager assigned. When the Account Manager is unavailable, it can be hard to receive a response or obtain a solution to an issue.

I use Hireology to eliminate paperwork, easily communicate with applicants, and streamline background checks. The integration with Netchex simplifies our process by eliminating manual data entry for applicants' information.

**What do you like best about Hireology?**

Hireology simplifies each step of our unique hiring process.   I don't have to think about what comes next as the software walks me through the process.  They offer great webinars to help you better utilize all the features the software offers.  I often find good tips and hiring practices we can implement when I attend a webinar.  Most of all, our Customer Success Manager (CSM), Megan Pawlowski, is there to address any question or concern we have!!  She is patient and provides great alternatives to help us with our hiring process.  She follows up quickly and helps us brainstorm solutions for challenges that arise.

**What do you dislike about Hireology?**

I wish there was an easier way to archive old job descriptions and pre-screen surveys (for reference purposes), instead of having a list of all the job descriptions with dates.  Sometimes, our hiring managers don't look for the most recent update, and use a very outdated descrption.  I'd like to be able to limit it to them selecting only the most recent job description updates.  I'd also like to hide/remove any pre-screen surveys that don't relate to our industry.

**What problems is Hireology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automates the hiring process and enables us to easily post jobs.  Uses AI to help with better performing job descriptions

**What do you like best about Hireology?**

Once you take the time to set it up, create screening questions, and automate some of the screening and appointment setting, you don’t have to check it every day. You can let the system handle most of the screening and contacting of applicants, and it will set interviews for you. You can always go back and see if anyone fell through the cracks, then contact them yourself if you’re not getting enough interviews booked.

**What do you dislike about Hireology?**

Last time I checked you cannot create and anonymous add. Also if there was a way that when the same applicant applies to more than one position if there was a summary tied to that person so you can see the results of any interviews, tags or notes without having to switch between each job posting/

**What problems is Hireology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I dont have to spend near as much time reviewing applications for people who do not meet the criteria of my screening questions.

Hireology is an effective applicant tracking system that streamlines the hiring process with its user-friendly interface. As a company, we have multiple steps in the candidate movement process that we choose not to utilize through Hireology, such as the testing option. Even though I deselect certain steps when posting a job, the monthly reports still indicate that candidates have skipped steps in the workflow. This can make it challenging to get an accurate representation of our hiring process. It would be beneficial if the system could better align the reporting with our custom workflow preferences.

**What problems is Hireology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't encountered any recent problems that required me to reach out to my representative, but I want to highlight that the support staff have always been very quick to resolve any issues I've faced in the past. Their responsiveness and efficiency make it easy to get back on track whenever there are concerns, which is greatly appreciated.

Their customer service is second to none. Any time I have an issue, their team is on it. Also, the platform is simple to use. The product development team is always coming up with new features as well.

There are some limitations on what the program can do, such as having a more robust career site available. The could also offer more in depth reporting .

**Recommendations to others considering Hireology:**

You won't find a better platform to recruit, interview and hire the best talent out there. Their customer service is second to none.

Hireology makes it incredibly easy to post open positions across job boards and move candidates smoothly through each stage, from applicant to candidate to hired. The integration with SkillSurvey for reference checks, along with having all the necessary items configured to match how our company handles onboarding, has been a real game changer.

I don’t like the offer letter tool. I feel like it could be improved to make it easier and more straightforward to use.

I use Hireology for all of my hiring needs, and I enjoy that it is as helpful as you want to make it. I like that I can include specific people on certain jobs, see who has looked at what resumes and at what rate, which makes communication seamless with potential new employees. It's valuable to me because I can have an overview of what's going on, while my managers for specific departments can see who has applied, allowing them to offer helpful insights and reviews in the hiring process.

**What do you dislike about Hireology?**

I haven't come across anything major, the only improvement I could see are minor bug fixes or when the website is down. Sometimes it seems as if the website won't load and I cannot get into certain parts of the website that I may need.

I really appreciate how Hireology keeps everything in one system. It's easy to track candidates from application to interview to hire, which is especially convenient for managing multiple store locations. I also like that we can share candidates who could potentially work in different locations. The real-time tracking feature is great because it allows managers, the HR department, and even the owner to stay on the same page, preventing anything from falling through the cracks.

**What do you dislike about Hireology?**

For new managers in training, it can be confusing at first. Some features aren't clearly labeled. It's sometimes hard to search candidates, even by name it can be hard to locate. The filters and sorting options are kind of limited. Teaching managers and other associates how to begin using it was a bit of a struggle, and some employees struggle at first to navigate candidates.

**What do you like best about Hireology?**

I use Hireology as an applicant tracking system to conduct pre-screenings in our hiring process. I like the ease of posting jobs on Hireology. I find it valuable being able to share a link of the job, and the different status options available when posting a job, such as public and internal, which provides flexibility to attract applicants to our site.

**What do you dislike about Hireology?**

The timeframe for job postings and updates is too long. The editing feature when posting a job is limited. There are challenges with the background/drug test platform, and the search for skill sets is limited. Posting updates sometimes show an old version online instead of the updated version. The Accurate Background feature doesn't update results accordingly and sometimes provides vague status.

**What problems is Hireology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hireology helps me maintain a centralized database of all applications and improve job posting flexibility. It streamlines our hiring by allowing us to embed the site on our website and flexibly attract applicants, thanks to job link sharing and different posting statuses.

I like that Hireology is very user-friendly and easy to navigate, making it perfect for job postings. It's also my first time using it for my client, and compared to other platforms, it's less complicated, so I don't need to look for tutorials. Once I got the sign-in credentials, I logged in and was able to navigate it perfectly. Additionally, the platform makes tracking and reporting straightforward, and they provide webinars which are helpful for beginners or new users. I also appreciate that when I post a job listing in Hireology, it automatically gets posted on different platforms, increasing engagement and reach.

To be honest, nothing.

The most helpful aspects are the integrations with other platforms and automation features to quickly recruit and onboard new employees. I also love the scoring feature for interviews.

Sometimes employees decide to complete onboarding in person instead of online. I don't have the ability to "waive" the onboarding so my only option is to move them back to a candidate. For reporting reasons, it would be nice to "Cancel Onboarding" and have the reason be they completed it in person instead.

It would be really nice to have a much simpler website to hand to people or say to people when they ask where our job posts are listed. This one is sooooo long and hard for people to remember and know how to spell.
I wish Hireology could integrate into our North Dakota Job Service job boards.
Integration into BambooHR would be so helpful.

Those steps are what I refer to as the Qualification stage and there are a number of features available such as credentials collection and staging of information for the candidate. Hireology has made significant progress in this regard and thereby increased the value proposition for this user!

It's a minor inconvenience to have to "refresh" my job ad every 90 days or so based on changing search engine requirements, meaning this is not attributable to Hireology.

I think an opportunity for improvement would be to allow a candidate to apply for a job without having a resume. I have had several candidates apply for a culinary server position and this is their first job ever applied for, thus no resume. It would be helpful if they could check no resume and then be prompted to answer a series of questions to apply. I also would like an add text box for reasons for declining an applicant. The reasons provided are not comprehensive.

The software is OK at best, it takes a lot of clicks to get things done. Wasn’t designed with the busy hiring manager, recruiter, Human Resources person in mind. The new hire onboarding steps (references, background check, offer  letter, on boarding  paperwork ) are all hidden in multiple tabs, pages and dashboards making it difficult to stay organized.  Also difficult to know what has been completed and what hasn’t. The analytics and reporting are not very helpful - one of the most basic and common reports that companies need is a simple list of current job postings across the organization. Hireology does not provide that - our account rep had to set that up outside the system on a email distribution. There has been several instances where our and users will run reports, but the data is clearly inaccurate. Their tech team has had to fix bugs in order to get it to work - meanwhile, our end users have lost confidence in their accuracy of all reporting. There are several tasks that require us to submit a ticket - resending the reference check email to the applicant; removing an applicant from the on boarding stage; etc. Our end users have requested that these tasks be self serve as opposed to relying on their customer support which can take days to respond.

We get very good applicant traffic when posting our jobs

I use Hireology for filling open roles and extensively vetting candidates, and it has helped solve inefficiencies by improving how and where we post open roles, plus it allows us to reach a larger applicant pool. My favorite feature is the modes of communication offered, especially SMS communication with applicants. It speeds up response times, making the interview and hiring process more efficient. The stock templates and the option to create your own templates for sending reminders and requests for interview availability make a real difference in quickly filling open roles. The initial setup of Hireology was pretty seamless.

**What do you dislike about Hireology?**

I do wish we had the ability to request caliper re-score or testing a candidate's caliper against another caliper test, without the candidate having to take another caliper test, to see if they would be a better fit for another open role. Right now I am only aware of sending an email to support to request a caliper be re-scored against another caliper. This results in automated messages from the AI, then ultimately responding with 'ask a real person.' I also wish there was a way to see the real-time progress of someone's caliper test.

As a Service Director, I'm extremely busy and juggle multiple responsibilities, so the texting feature enables me to maintain multiple conversations at once and efficiently contact people for interviews. I also found the initial setup of Hireology very easy, especially with the help of a Hireology coach, since I was familiar with similar tools like Indeed.

Messages don't always populate in the texting feature. For as much as I use it, sometimes that makes things difficult. It seems there may be a glitch at times that needs worked on.

**What do you like best about Hireology?**

It is simple to use and consistent. What is fantastic is how it provides the ability to seamlessly include job listings on a variety of websites all at the same time from a single UI and login. It's one of those tabs that is always open on the work computer and can be checked quickly and painlessly.

**What do you dislike about Hireology?**

I do think that the job edit functions could be streamlined more. There are 6-7 mouse clicks to go through and edit jobs, and an option to have all of these on one page rather than having to save and continue multiple times could be nice when I just have one small thing to adjust.

**What problems is Hireology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Without Hireology, we would need to log in separately to a dozen platforms and we would need to individually manage the listings on those platforms. Updates and maintenance would be huge hassles and represent a ton of lost time. Thanks to this ATS our staff can much more easily access a wider array of candidates and with a consistent toolset. It's hard to imagine ever going back to the old ways before we used this platform.

**What do you like best about Hireology?**

I like that Hireology updates very quickly. When a candidate makes an appointment, the new information is populated immediately. The template choices are excellent when sending a text or email, and editing the templates once is useful. Now that I have been using Hireology for a few months, it is easy to use and saves time.

**What do you dislike about Hireology?**

I would like to sort my candidates either by date/time of last correspondence or application date. I also do not like that when I apply filters to find candidates, it does not hold that selection for the whole session (until I log out or change the filters). I have to select the filter choices again. It took me awhile to finally see the search bar at the top. Now I use that almost all the time. If I decline someone and they reapply, I should get a note that this person reapplied, giving me the opportunity to decline them again or review them and offer an interview. I currently have one person declined and as a candidate. Lastly, when I decline a candidate, I would like them to drop to the bottom of the list, I do not want to see their names intermingled with the others that are still being considered.

Hireology is sending my calendar availability to candidates allowing them to schedule interviews, then placing their interview on my calendar. What a time savings! The email and text options are great and allows a smooth flow of communication.

**What do you like best about Hireology?**

Hireology makes it very easy to organize candidates and keep all of our contact with them in once place. Having one page where we can see all of the text and email history, interview notes, and status updates makes it so much easier to manage the candidate process. The custom text and email templates shortens the time it takes to communicate with candidates, and being able to instantly see their history with our company (such as previous jobs they applied for and why they were rejected) saves a lot of time I used to spend trying to track down this information in a bunch of different softwares. Being able to post a job in hireology and automatically have it go live on several different job boards is a great feature as well. Hireology alone has replaced about 7 DIFFERENT pieces of software I was using in the candidate process before. I also love the careers site they created for us! Support is always quick to get back to us when we need something updated. I honestly can't imagine going back to the way we hired before.

**What do you dislike about Hireology?**

While the web-based program is fantastic, I do have issues with the app. We can't access text templates from the app, which makes it much less efficient for contacting candidates. Additionally, there is a frequent glitch which makes it impossible to decline a candidate in the app. This sometimes results in double-work because we have to review the same resume multiple times. This makes the app pretty much completely unhelpful for my team.

It solves the problem of candidate information slipping through the cracks and slow response times to candidates. This streamlines hiring process and helps us get hires made faster as well as improve the candidate experience.

I like that I can email or send a message through Hireology if a phone number is not in service. This feature is valuable because sometimes people's phones are turned off or they don't answer due to thinking it might be a scam. This makes it easier for me to get in contact with people.

The only thing I hate about Hireology is the search bar. Whenever I go to the search bar on Hireology to try to find an applicant I might know their name, I can't, it doesn't pull them up. There's never any results. So that's frustrating.

It's super easy and efficient, especially for job fairs in different communities. We can easily create QR codes and send them to onsite teams, making it super easy to print them out and have them accessible, which is efficient for our communities.

The assessment feature, particularly the predictive index assessment, sometimes doesn't work properly. When you have to send an assessment to a candidate, the drop-down feature doesn't always populate as it should, which makes it less reliable.
