What do you like best about Gusto?

Gusto allows employees and contractors to do the onboarding process themselves. This eliminates the process of gathering withholding and direct deposit information.

Excellent customer service.

Easy to pull reports.

The option to have Gusto handle the state registrations.

Automatic processing and payment of taxes is easy and helps to keep you in compliance.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I would like the option to set the recurring amounts for contractors rather than having to manually enter them each time.

It can be difficult to change the salary amount for a one-time change. You have to adjust the gross annual amount for the change and then change it back again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about Gusto?

Gusto makes running and managing payroll incredibly easy! I've been a user for years and have enjoyed seeing how the platform has evolved over time. I was extra happy when they added the ability to pay international contractors - huge help! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

As amazing as the customer support team is, sometimes it's hard to reach someone quickly. The mobile experience of the website could use some improvements. What do you dislike about Gusto?

There are several loopholes that make it impossible to get resolution on problems. I have not had a single interaction with their customer service where anything is resolved because there is always some other department they have to escalate to. They also have no desire to help solve problems faster or help small businesses. Be warned, they will do the BARE MINIMUM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gusto?

Easy to manage and easy for employees to self serve. On the management side, I have the flexibility to run payrolls and off cycle payrolls without the hassle that other apps required. Reporting and taxes are pretty seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

Haven't found any downside yet, although on the occasions where we needed support it would be nice to be able to live chat to resolve, vs. opening a support ticket. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gusto?

Great for running payroll, setting up team members for payroll, even works great for contractors. Very helpful that they handle a lot of the legwork around state taxes and helping us to stay compliant with local regulations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

There's really not much more I could ask for. Perhaps a little more API support around api endpoints so we can more effectively build integrations with the rest of our platforms we use to onboard new team members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

this takes all the headaches out of managing team members and making sure we have them set up correctly for payroll, payroll history, all their documents for HR. What do you like best about Gusto?

Super easy and effective payroll system that helped a lot when hiring my first employee!! Was totally unsure how to hire a person, and gusto was so great because it's so easy to use and the customer service personnel were excellent. Now I run payroll every 2 weeks easily! What do you like best about Gusto?

The software is very intuitive which makes it easy to click around when you are new to software. There are just the right amount of prompts when you are using a new feature to help you along, and anytime I have needed help I get on the phone and it gets resolved. I also like the Little Piggy that greets you when logging in. And the employees have commented the enjoy the fun communication when getting paid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gusto?

Gusto is so simple to use! I used to spend hours on payroll and even more time on tax payments and filings. As the Executive Director of a small nonprofit I wear too many hats. Gusto allows me to run payroll in a few minutes from my phone anywhere in the World! They took care of all my tax filings so I don't have to worry about them any more. I love Gusto! I spent too much time trying to calculate exact amounts of taxes, SSI, and Medicaid to withhold from paychecks. I sometimes was off my fractions of cents and then "owed" the IRS. It was stressful to keep up with monthly payroll tax deposits, quarterly 941s, and payroll administration, plus our employees had to cash their checks and sometimes they wouldn't be able to access their money right away.
