Greenhouse is a fantastic tool to keep all our applicants straight. It's super easy to use and allows HR to guide the process of review from early applicant entry all the way through to interview and final evaluation. We have alot of steps to the hiring process and often multiple people weighing in on the decision. This makes that whole messy process super easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
None. Super intuitive and really easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Greenhouse houses everything you need to make your interview experience successful for both hiring teams and candidates. There are customizations, templates and reminders to help make your process unique, and focused on diversity at every turn. It's a great all in one tool for recruitment teams. You can find reporting functionality for any part of the process, and honestly they are always coming up with new reporting features! It's truly an awesome tool- I enjoy using it very much as does my team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some tools integrations you have to refresh regularly which can get annoying, also the reporting isn't as robust as say Looker or another actual reporting tool. Some hiring managers who have never used Greenhouse struggle to find things and comment on usability. But, most get it eventually with some direction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We implemented Greenhouse about three years ago- and compared it against several other options but decided on Greenhouse based on value and the many integrations they offered. We love that it has a lot of customizability with an interface that is easy to learn and work within. I love that they make it easy to make their product work for your hiring team, while also encouraging good habits and good record-keeping. They are open to ideas for improvement and added functionality, and I especially appreciate how proactive they are about sharing their product roadmap. They have great training tools for all levels of users and are incredibly mindful of the candidate experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A minor issue, but wish they had a bit more customizability with the job kick-off, and allowed forms and attachments for jobs not just candidates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Greenhouse has completely transformed our hiring process. The platform is intuitive, user-friendly, and incredibly efficient. It streamlines every step of the recruitment journey, from job posting to candidate communication to final hiring decisions. The ability to customize workflows and collaborate seamlessly with the team has made a huge impact on our hiring speed and accuracy.
The reporting and analytics features are top-notch, giving us valuable insights into our recruitment efforts and helping us continually improve our process. The integration with other HR tools is smooth, and their customer support team is responsive and always willing to help.
Overall, Greenhouse has been a game-changer for us. It’s an essential tool for any team looking to build a strong, high-performing workforce! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
First, the integration with some third-party tools could be smoother, as we've occasionally faced challenges syncing data between platforms. Additionally, while the interface is generally intuitive, some of the advanced customization options can be a bit tricky to navigate without additional support or training.
Lastly, the mobile experience could use some updates to match the functionality of the desktop version. Having a more responsive app would be a great addition, especially for hiring managers on the go.
Overall, Greenhouse is a fantastic tool that has significantly improved our hiring process, and with a few tweaks, it could be even better!lot of time to add all the templates Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- I love how easy is to pull reports
- Integrations with many other platforms/tools
- The amount of possibilities and automations you can add
- Really enjoying how many new things you are launching lately Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- The newer profile version isn't as intuitive as the previous one
- Scheduling is a high priority for years (I've used GreenHouse for a long time) and it is needed to have it integrated long time ago.
- Details in general need to be paid attention to: How is the "referred by.."sign
- It would be great to have more workflows, or be able to have more codependencies in the custom fields, approvals...
- Notifications: should have more possibilities (candidate's recruiter, create personas...) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Greenhouse has all the essential features I expect in an ATS, but what stands out most is how intuitive and user-friendly it is. It's easy to navigate, making it simple for both new recruiters to get up to speed and hiring teams to collaborate effectively. From a candidate perspective, I’ve also heard great feedback about how seamless and straightforward the application process is, which helps create a positive experience for applicants. Additionally, the system’s automation and customization options make it easy to streamline workflows without adding unnecessary complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It’s not a major issue, but I’d love to see more flexibility and efficiency in the scheduling features. For example, instead of candidates seeing my entire month availability, I’d like an option to limit scheduling to the next seven days. This would help ensure a faster and more efficient hiring process by keeping interviews within a focused timeframe. Additional customization options for scheduling would make the process even smoother for both recruiters and candidates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Initial setup is quick, ability to configure the system, design is clean and uncluttered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The user experience is just terrible. Everything takes many clicks, there is no keyboard short cuts for important actions. The platform over complicates experience for simple frequent tasks such as application review, booking interviews, rejecting candidates.
Important information is never found in a single place and always require multiple clicks.
Web interface does not work on mobile.
There is no way to simply advance or reject a candidate with the keyboard, making application review a real pain.
Filtering profiles is just not user friendly and a real pain. Custom profile fields is cumbersome to use.
Mass rejecting candidates requires typing "reject seventy four candidates" AND check a confirmation box AND click a button.
Templates management is extremely non intuitive, no way to share them across teams, only company wide or individual.
There is no feature (AI powered or rule based) to help speed up users workflow.
Basically this is a tool for large bloated recruiting teams designed to justify hiring teams HC, having dozens of users spending their days clicking everywhere rather than getting actual work done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like some of the functionality that gh possess, like ease of finding candidate information, note taking, admin and visibility preferences, the integrations. These are the things that help with moving quickly when working with a high volume of candidates. i like that we get notified when a svcorecard is due and cannot see votes or feedback submissions until individual feedback is completed. There are unfortunately many things I do not like about gh. I wish that when I upload a resume, it could auto populate the information from the resume into the user fields for me. I additionally wish that evergreen roles that are not taken down after a hire is made could reset the timer of when a new role is open and would have additional features to keep track of candidates that move in and out of the pipeline from the time of engagement to offer or rejection.
Additionally, anytime that a recruiter or recruiting coordinator is out of office, we cannot adjust or reschedule on behalf of them which causes confusion when you have duplicates of interviews that you cannot remove. This would be ideal when you're working with a large team and someone goes OOO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I love most about Greenhouse is its ease of use and the extensive marketplace of third-party applications, which give it superpowers through the many available integrations. It’s rare to find a vendor that isn’t integrated with Greenhouse.
Many recruiters have worked with Greenhouse at some point in their careers, which means the ramp-up time for them is usually very short.
Their support team is reliable, providing efficient solutions, and their learning center is incredibly comprehensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The customization options are quite limited, meaning you have to adapt your processes to Greenhouse, rather than Greenhouse adapting to your processes.
While it's a solid ATS, the additional features they’ve developed (CRM, sourcing automation, etc.) fall short of expectations. I would have liked to see the same level of quality in these native features as in their core product.
When it comes to AI, its application is currently very limited. I’m keeping an eye on their developments in this area, as this could significantly impact my perception of the tool—positively or negatively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really appreciate the fact that you can do almost everything from one system. The team spends the entire day in the system and we have learned how to make it work for us. Although I wasn't here when it was implemented, I had been a part of a Greenhouse implementation in the past and with their support it had been very maneagable. We have it integrated with multiple systems and they all seem to be working properly. I love all the options available to integrate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Although there has been a lot of advancements in their reporting capabilities there is still room for improvement. When scheduling, I wish candidate availability could be visible accross stages. And the whole team is still getting used to the new candidate profiles. I use it every day but there are some features missing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to use, enhances efficiency, good report functionality for analytics, and excellent customer success manager and account manager along with a great support team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Report/dashboard functions can be further improved, though they're good already. E.g. if visuals can be sent together with the automated reports, that would be great. Dashboards could also be more customisable.
There's pretty good customisation for different user access levels--but there should be a type of user who cannot view the salary info on candidates' application forms. Sometimes we want to have an employee help with interviews but without giving him/her access to confidential salary data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
