**What do you like best about Greenhouse?**

The best aspect of Greenhouse is how it manages information. I often use tags to categorize profiles when there aren’t any open positions. This feature helps us keep candidates on our radar for potential future engagement.

**What do you dislike about Greenhouse?**

The area of improvement for Greenhouse is that it offers too many options, some of which may not be necessary. For example, there are three level options, when two would be sufficient.

I appreciate how simple it is to navigate Greenhouse, and I also value the flexibility it offers to make adjustments and tailor it to fit our organization's needs.

One aspect I dislike about Greenhouse is that it sometimes restricts what we are able to do. Additionally, certain features or processes are not clearly explained, which means we often have to look for information outside of Greenhouse to better understand how things work or what their purpose is.

Greater flexibility in data reporting has been valuable for us, as it allows us to filter out the most important information and present it effectively to our leadership team.

It is relatively easy to use. We onboard a lot of new recruiters and even those without prior experience in Greenhouse are able to pick it up easily. Its comprehensive and has just about every feature you want with good integrations for those they dont have.

**What do you dislike about Greenhouse?**

The native reporting functionality can be limited. Only certain fields can be pulled into reports so I sometimes find myself downloading multiple reports into excel and combining them

**What problems is Greenhouse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have to manage a lot of applicants across a lot of different roles. It would be impossible to do without Greenhouse. It houses thousands of candidates for us.

**What do you like best about Greenhouse?**

I find Greenhouse to be really intuitive and easy to use, making my workflow smooth. The reporting functionality is excellent, allowing quick and easy updates via Google Sheets. I love having the ability to track our recruiting progress effectively and support candidate engagement throughout the process. Greenhouse's user-friendly interface and customizable features greatly enhance its value to me.

**What do you dislike about Greenhouse?**

I find that the reporting functionality of Greenhouse could be more flexible. The dashboards are somewhat limited and I can only rely on the prebuilt tools that come with it. I wish I could build custom dashboards to suit my specific needs better, especially for ad-hoc reporting. Additionally, while using Google Sheets integration for reporting is efficient, I miss having an auto-update feature that would automatically refresh the data weekly or monthly, which would save me the time currently spent on manual refreshes.

Greenhouse streamlines recruitment processes, enhancing candidate experience and enabling effective tracking and reporting. It allows easy recruitment cycle adjustments and provides valuable data for leadership decisions, improving engagement and efficiency.

While I'm a guest user, I have enjoyed using Greenhouse. The interface is clean and clear, it's easy to move candidates to different statuses, you can delay send emails and utilize templates.

**What do you dislike about Greenhouse?**

The one thing that I found challenging about Greenhouse was that on the main candidate landing page, you see some of the info that was submitted on an application - for example: you only access resume on main page. However, if you click the packet, you then can find the cover letter. It would be ideal if they were both there.

Greenhouse is a great ATS and allows us to collaborate across teams, keep everything organized, etc. The email communication portion is also fantastic to ensure that candidates get an update.

I like how Greenhouse allows us to have all of the information for candidates and new hires at our fingertips. It also saves us time by having a direct link with our HRIS, which eliminates the need for manual entry. Providing feedback after an interview is another aspect that works well.

I do not use the system in enough depth to have anything to dislike.

Greenhouse streamlines our recruiting by centralizing offer letters and documents for new hires, saving time with direct HRIS integration and allowing easy feedback post-interview. I like having all candidate information readily accessible.

**What do you like best about Greenhouse?**

Greenhouse is easy to use and incorporate in my daily workflows. I especially like the pipeline view, to see where my role is at, at a glance. I can easily drag and drop candidates to different stages of the recruitment process. Scheduling interviews is also intuitive, and adding the appropriate hiring managers to a job is as well. Greenhouse support is also top-notch, as any question I have is answered promptly and with care.

**What do you dislike about Greenhouse?**

My main frustration with Greenhouse is that when I'm on the Candidates tab, I can't right click on a candidate name and "open in new tab," I have to click on their name and then back-track each time to search a new candidate. It's the same way when looking up candidates in the CRM. This is especially frustrating when I'm combing through the CRM to find potential past candidates to re-engage, and I have to search them individually in a separate tab vs be able to open their profiles directly from the CRM page (to avoid having to back-track).

Greenhouse organizes all my roles in one place and allows me to track progress on multiple roles in a matter of minutes, vs trying to comb through physical files.

I like using Greenhouse for job automation and finding available jobs in the current market. It's useful for discovering jobs not listed on Google, and I found them in Greenhouse. The auto-filling feature for job applications without interaction is really good.

Even though I've gone through many job applications and applied, I do not get any feedback from Greenhouse. I mean, about my job applications and stuff like that.

I have been using Greenhouse for about 7 years now and the new candidate profile layout is terrible. Greenhouse was once a platform that was so intuitive and so user friendly, no it's just impossible to navigate anywhere. I've watched the tutorials and it's still terrible. You have to click too many things. If a hiring manager is trying to navigate the platform, they are getting so frustrated trying to find things. Myself included. Not sure why you all redid this. If you wanted to switch it around, thats fine but give us the option to retain the old format.

The support team responds very promptly, which I appreciate. The platform itself is user-friendly for the recruitment team, making navigation simple. I also find that configuring and maintaining fields is a straightforward process.

It is not easy to integrate with HR systems that are not widely used or established. Additionally, the reporting and analytics features could use some improvement.

**What do you like best about Greenhouse?**

It's very easy to use! As a recruiter, I love the resume review feature. It makes sending out screen requests so seamless. The customer support is excellent! I love having a chat box for random questions. Implementation was very easy! They are also always adding new features, and they always make sure to notify you of them. It's a very easy system to work with.

**What do you dislike about Greenhouse?**

It's missing a few small details, such as allowing applicants to select their time zone when applying for jobs. As a recruiter who sets up interviews for 2-3 different time zones at once, having to manually enter in the candidate's time zone to ensure the correct interview time populates for them can be quite annoying. Also, limits on how many times an applicant can apply for a single job in a certain time period is only available on the Expert tier which is a huge bummer. This should be a basic feature.

**What do you like best about Greenhouse?**

I like that Greenhouse has stepped up with their enhancements as of late. The ability to customize the scheduling interviews experience and customize interview information is nice (where they can set time frames they would be available). I also enjoy the dashboards feature and it is something that we use to sharing recruiting stats with our executive team so they have a closer pulse on what our team is working on. The ability to filter applications for keywords and if it is a referral for example are so tremendously helpful, especially for our job reqs that have a large application queue. This used to take hours for our recruiters to search through and they were more limited on how they could filter for the skills the job was requiring for the role. I also like using the candidate portal feature as well. As always, customer support is always quick to respond and helpful when I reach out, which helps me a ton in real time when I need help.

**What do you dislike about Greenhouse?**

I wish there was a way to set a frequency for jobs to be reposted on a certain cadence. This is all done manually currently and takes me quite some time when we have many roles open on our site. I also wish there were more options when it came to customizing the job boards site. There are more options than before, but I think being able to customize it further would be ideal to fit to the brand logos even more. I also wish that you had more options to customize reports and that there was one report option where you could access ALL information/columns/filters within one report vs some details only being avail for candidate reprots versus offers versus dept etc. Sometimes our executive team wants to capture parts of details from each of these areas, and it would be more ideal to be able to do this within one report instead of across multiple.

**What problems is Greenhouse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Greenhouse adding the dashboard features has helped us to be able to more quickly reference recruiting information on a quick glance versus having to generate a full report to get this same information- overall this helps reduce turnaround time for information asked by the executive team. The AI feature in the job description portion is a nice enhancement when I am stuck with starting a JD and I feel stuck. The filtering feature of the application queue continues to help reduce the time it takes recruiters to sift thru large numbers of applications for job posts.

User friendly, intuitive for hiring managers

The team that helped us build and then supports us are friendly and easy to work with during implementation

Using Tokens are easy and actually work when creating documents/emails/correspondences/offers

Integrates with top companies, included in cost: LinkedIn, Criteria Corp, Calendly, Outlook to name a few

**What do you dislike about Greenhouse?**

When setting up interviews, you can't cc others who don't need to attend

Contact support: help function seems too sensitive to you asking it perfectly. Give solutions but 50%it is not the solution and I go to ChatGPT who does give me the solution for the ATS

Address and Hiring Manager do not autofill from the application or job set up

The "Job Post" management setting can be tricky to use when managing multiple job descriptions on one requisition since only 1 job can be marked as primary.

**What do you like best about Greenhouse?**

Greenhouse is one of the easiest ATS systems that anyone can implement for their business - whether a small startup or a publicly traded company.  I have personally hired new team members who have not used it before that were able to get up to speed quickly and agreed that it is a superior ATS than what they were used to.

**What do you dislike about Greenhouse?**

I wish advanced reporting was both easier and could go deeper than current functionalities allow for.  Today, I have to connect my custom reports into Google sheets to run deeper analytics.

Another feature I really appreciate is the ability to send candidate availability requests via email directly from the platform. This makes scheduling interviews much more efficient and keeps all communication centralized, which is a big plus when coordinating across multiple stakeholders.

The pipeline view is also a highlight. It offers a clear, visual representation of where each candidate is in the hiring process. This helps us stay organized and maintain momentum with candidates, while also giving hiring managers a quick snapshot of the team's progress.

Scheduling can be clunky - would love to be able to provide availability for multiple interviewers at onceHowever, one significant drawback has been the recent changes to the scheduling function. The updated version feels clunky and less intuitive than before. What used to be a smooth process now feels more cumbersome, with automations that often don’t work as expected and workflows that are harder to understand. Instead of saving time, the new system has added friction to what should be a straightforward task.

Overall, Greenhouse still provides a solid foundation for recruiting, but the updated scheduling feature is a step backward. I hope to see improvements in this area soon to bring the user experience back in line with the rest of the platform’s strengths.

What I dislike about Greenhouse is that many of its most useful features require additional payments, which can be frustrating. You quickly realize that the base package doesn’t include everything the system has to offer, and unlocking certain tools or integrations means paying more. It would be much more helpful—and transparent—if there were a single pricing model that gave access to all features upfront, instead of gradually discovering limitations and needing to purchase multiple add-ons to get the full value of the platform.

Greenhouse has helped us to bring order to a process that was previously often chaotic.  Out hiting process includes an above avrgae number of interviewers and stakeholders, who preiously struggled to coordinate their interview schedules, and areas of inquiry.  Greenhouse has helped us track our interested candidates better, provide them with a consistent and high-quality experience, and consistently evaluate their fit with our organization.  While making our recruiting more effective, it has also made us much more efficient, saving us hundreds (maybe even thousands of interviewer hours annually).

**What do you dislike about Greenhouse?**

As the final approver, I would prefer if Greenhouse went back to the old way of approving requests where I could just click directly from my email.   Now I need to first log into Greenhouse before I can approve decisions.  It's a minor inconvenience, but I prefer the old way.

I have been using Greenhouse since 2018 across five different companies, and each time I joined a new company, I recommended adopting Greenhouse because of its robust functionality. This is one of those tools that I use every day. It serves as an excellent database for storing candidate information, tracking progress through different hiring stages, and re-engaging past candidates when roles reopen.

One of the biggest advantages is its ability to streamline the hiring process—rather than spending weeks searching for new candidates, companies can quickly reach out to strong applicants from previous hiring cycles. This not only benefits recruiters/sourcers but also creates opportunities for candidates who may have not been hired for the role (role either closed or was filled).

I have also been able to intergrate tools like DocuSign, Adobe, LinkedIn Recruiter, Google Calendar, and sourcing platforms like Gem and Teamable with GH. The ability to post jobs across multiple platforms (indeed and LinkedIn) with just a simple selection makes the process smooth and efficient. No need to post job ads in each of those platforms.

Lastly, Greenhouse offers great customer support—whenever I’ve had questions, I’ve always found someone readily available to assist. Overall, it’s an intuitive and highly effective tool that makes the recruiting process smoother and more efficient!

**What do you dislike about Greenhouse?**

One drawback I’ve noticed recently is that Greenhouse does not enable to keep rejected candidates indefinitely. Instead, it automatically removes them after around two years. I’m unsure of the exact reason behind this policy, but it would be helpful to have the option to keep candidate records for a longer period, especially for future hiring needs.

It's very easy to use and integrates with everything! I am not a technical person, but I found the setup to be really simple and straightforward. I had a lot of support ensuring I completed everything properly, and I found the support team to be very responsive.

Some features require a lot of clicks or aren't straightforward. When an invite is sent to candidates, their RSVP doesn't automatically come through, and the invite isn't added to their calendar unless they download it from the confirmation email. Also, the confirmation email must be sent from the system after the interview is scheduled, and if this step is missed, your candidate won't have any awareness of the interview time.

The customization features are helpful and it's very simple to use, even for those who are not extremely "tech savvy".  The implementation was a bit challenging, but Greenhouse heard the feedback from their end users and made significant improvements since we implemented.   Integration with our already established vendors was a breeze.  We use it constantly and it is extremely reliable and efficient. It truly saved us from hiring another staff member!
