What do you like best about Bonsai?

I like it in its entirety. It's full service a covers a broad range of needs, but does so in a very intuitive manner. I moved my business over from Fbooks, and the data transfer was quick and easy and didn't lose a step. If I've had issues the support has been super helpful and quick, it's seriously impressive. What do you dislike about Bonsai?

I don't think they're charging in CDN dollars yet. As a Canadian I would like to pay in my own dollars not USA funny money as the exchange is brutal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bonsai?

great for scheduling, CRM, invoicing, quotes/proposals, collecting payments and handling bookkeeping. It is my one-stop-sho for my small project management business. Highly recommended. What do you dislike about Bonsai?

They really need to improve the tasks and workflow of project such that the cliet portal becomes a dashboard for clients to see progress and the over timeline like in Notion. I really am at the end of my rope with asking for this essential update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Bonsai solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is my CRM, client intake tool, time tracker, invoicing tool, scheduler too, proposal creator - all in one.

I am captivated by user-friendly interface, it literally calms me while i am working to see the vegetative leaves.

What do you like best about Bonsai?

Bonsai has helped me organize my bussiness and speed up my workflows for every step of client and project management. The biggest benefit so far, is the time that has freed up for me to focus on designing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bonsai?

There are few downsides to this software. But with that said, I think the one thing that needs improving is Bonsai's time tracking features. It's a little clunky on desktop and I think there could be more features around it online as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bonsai?

Bonsai's time tracking features, invoicing, and contracts are all set up in mostly user-friendly ways that make it easy for me -- a freelance copywriter -- to manage my hectic work schedule and invoicing. I can toggle between multiple projects at once with the platform, which is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bonsai?

There have been some glitches while using - for instance, my hours once stopped showing up past a certain date, which - had I not noticed - would have lost me money during invoicing. The good news is that I reached out to customer service and they had the glitch fixed promptly.

Another downside is that there is not an easy way (that I've found) to keep track of retainer payments. Several of my clients pay me monthly and then it's helpful for me to track time spent, without having to input a dollar amount on the invoice. I've found a way to make it work, but it's not intuitive on the platform. There are a few features of Bonsai that require personal workarounds like these. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bonsai?

I love so many things about Bonsai: the well-written contracts, the ability to add custom branding, the bank account, and bookkeeping features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bonsai?

When starting a new project, you have to backtrack to create a new client first. Sometimes I want to simply make an invoice for a new client - I wish whatever info I input on the invoice would automatically create a new client rather than having to do that first. What do you like best about Bonsai?

Quick and easy interface to create a customer profile or send out a contract for signature. Allows sample customer to get experience with how the contracts or invoicing works. Customer support is always quick to repsond. Either same day or the next. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Does not have semi annual taxes. Takes a couple weeks for first couple of payouts which is a long time compared to other processors i've used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bonsai?

What do you like best about Bonsai?

Bonsai has helped me streamline my business with contracts, proposals, time tracking and invoicing all in one spot. Automated invoice reminders are also super helpful. What do you dislike about Bonsai?

I wish Bonsai had support for Australian banks as I need to add all my expenses manually, which is very time-consuming. Also, every time I download my invoice reports it downloads all instead of a date range. The pricing is quite expensive for Australian users due to the exchange rate. Contracts, proposals and invoices all in the same spot. It has streamlined my process and made everything easy to access. Time tracking would be helpful if there was an option to track towards a project that has already been paid (ie. to see the hourly rate of the project), in addition to billable ones. What do you like best about Bonsai?

The ability to create clients, projects within those, attaching contracts/invoices/timetracking to it. Ability to automate invoicing, reminders. Transparency with invoicing fees for clients. And track invoicing payment - auto and manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bonsai?

Organization and that is it. I can get that with Design Files and other platforms and do not have to go through this inconvenient process of my funds being on hold. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bonsai?

Bonsai customer support is HORRIBLE and I honestly feel that it may even be AI generated because the responses does not resolve issues at hand or even the attempts to make customer happy are a fail. I also am disappointed with how payments are not processed in a timely manner even after showing proof of customer business to business relationship. I do not like not being able to talk to a live human to get the support that is needed. It is now October 9, 2023 and my funds have been on hold since October 5, 2023. This has caused a GRAVE inconvenience for me and my business and the issue is still not resovled even with my client attached to the emails.

Update: After submitting all legal documents such as signed contract, floor plans and even the rules and covenant from the property of the projects I was hired to do, Bonsai wanted my clients facebook page to confirm my business with her even though she was attached on the emails, this is the response I recieve:

Your Bonsai Payments account is disabled, but you can keep using Stripe Payments or Paypal to collect payments from your customers.

You will need to turn off your Bonsai Payments account first by clicking "deactivate acccount

Notice my client paid on October 5th and funds have been debitied from her account, it is now October 10th as of date of this review. Not only have they disable my account but they are not releasing my funds until October 17th. This is what AI Generated customer support is dong to LIVE PEOPLE! UTTERLY DISGUSTED AND THIS DORIAN IS INHUMANE!!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
