Our CSM is resourceful and always happy to help us solve the many challenges we encounter at Bluecore! Chris has been a huge asset in our experience with Bluecore to reach our goals for the year. Also, Joe has enabled us to get to where we needed in terms of strategy throughout 2024! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Bluecore's interface is not as easy as other platforms and require some additional training to find what you're looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a developer I found that the templating language was easy to grasp and implement. The API documentation was thorough and straightforward which saved time when testing payloads and triggering emails both in lower instances and in production. I personally used Postman as a way to test through all emails prior to handing payloads over to our external systems to begin triggering the emails. Most of our core transactional emails use custom templates and I found the editor itself to be clean and simple to use. One last thing I would note is that the systems handle heavy loads pretty well. We have never had an issue with emails being queued for a long period of time even during high sale events. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing that I feel could be improved is a better logging system that would allow you to track emails sent. Example when testing through Postman I get a conversation_id returns which I then could hit an API with that id to see if it was delivered or if there was an error. But when other systems trigger the email they are not storing the conversation_id and so when they want to know what happened to the email there is no way for me to figure out why it didn't work. A simple log that is kept for a few days that showed campaign_id, conversation_id and date of transaction would be super helpful. I also do not like if you view a template without making changes it dates it as though there were changes and tags your name as last person to edit, which often is not the case. It should only update last edited when someone actually makes a change and saves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its very user friendly and I was easily able to get around and learn the tool. We are able to easily see all of the campaigns that are active. Great dashboard feature as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You are not able to pull KPIs for all campaigns at once but instead have to go into each campaign to pull the CTR or percentage of clicks to pull those numbers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Bluecore is the easiest place to set up campaigns that make the biggest difference in the bottom line of our CRM program, by targeting the right customers with the right message and products at the right time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the email template tools could be easier to use in ways that make it more efficient to change multiple emails at once. The combination of global and smart content is tough to use, and it moves slow, so it take a long time to figure out what you're trying to do Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Triggers campaigns work really well for us with classic campaigns outperforming expectations, onboarding was supported and we continue to add new triggers campaigns all the time. Although account manager has changed fequently all have helped support us with new campaigns, audience set up and personaliation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Currently no SMS for UK - we want to segment SMS audiences the same as we segment email. We would also add a last resort SMS to end of some of our automated campaigns. Also some difficulty with intergation sof ome aspects of back end functions including size and stock levels Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their customer success managers have been very friendly and helpful in figuring out any issues we have run into through the onboarding process and the configuration of email, sms, and on-site campaigns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Whenever our team runs into an issue with setting up an email, sms, or on-site campaign it can take the customer support team quite a while to get an actual answer further delaying the launch schedule for a given campaign. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Bluecore has an easy user interface to take control / ownership of your campaigns. Their account managers bring expertise to help guide you through launching and optimizations of new automations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When you program reaches a certain level of sophistication, Bluecore needs to be mindful of not allowing your gains to stall out. Motivation needs to stay high to continue to partner on recommendations and optimizations to grow my business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our bluecore success team is great! There are a lot of dimensions and ways to approach personalization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Building specific segments is diffcult because they are missing basic if/and filters. Our bluecore tech team is great, but online documentation and how-tos leave a lot to be desired. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Bluecore has been a great partner in partnering with our overall goals for event triggered emails. UI is user friendly to quickly update product rule logic audiences and creative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Takes awhile to load at times and not being able to update templates as easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
During the migration, we had great engagement from the Bluecore team to help us understand their technology. That engagement and understanding were vital as we had a timeline for our SFMC contract ending. So it helped us get set up within that timeline while also knowing we were set up for long-term success. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The way to publish or "use draft" for email templates was a little confusing. A more straightforward approach would be preferred.
Our code logic checks which instance (sandbox, development, staging, production) to determine whether to include "use draft" in the API call to Bluecore for transactional emails. So we are setup fine, however if we publish a new version of that transactional template and then forget to also publish a draft version after that, then the lower instances API calls for transactional emails will fail.
